Clout chasing? Not at all. I made over 200 applications on Trac, and no interview invite. I used my life savings, from working in the private sector, to process visit visa to UK, to write my OSCE and improve my chances of getting an offer. I have been managing with friends, hoping that an offer will come with relocation package and every other cost covered.

Now the offer is here, and it is in a different city where I know nobody, like 4 hours from where I have friends. It comes with no relocation package. I am lost on how to raise money to relocate fully, or just leave it, get my pin, and hope for better offers.

Do bear in mind that I will be returning to Nigeria soon after my exams. So I have genuine concerns if I will be able to get another offer from Nigeria or kukuma hold unto what I have.

If you have an offer as a Registered Nurse, your Visa category automatically is the Health Care Visa which exempts you from paying immigration Health surcharge (IHS). Also your visa fee would be cheaper than the Skilled Worker Visa.

Secondly, most NHS Trusts do not offer relocation packages. If you could afford to self sponsor yourself for the OSCE, I do not understand how you have a problem with this offer. It only suggests to me, that you opened this thread for clout chasing.

There is a medical solution called PGT (in abbreviation), quite similar to an IVF were they implant foetus not infected with the SS gene. If you have the resources to afford it then you can proceed with the marriage.

In the UK it is completely free through the NHS. There is a solution but it all depends on your situation and resources.

You must really hate the U.K (leaving me to wonder why) for you to be confused wether to consider a N200k (£177) over a fully sponsored Msc scholarship with a £900 monthly stipend, which when you maximise your 20hr per week work rights, you could easily take home £1,500 Monthly.

I was making N280k Monthly in PH back in July 2021, when I migrated to the UK. Looking back now, it was the smartest decision I have ever made in my life. My brother who joined last year never stops thanking me for bringing him here whenever we talk over the phone (he's in Scotland).

Your level of pessimism about the UK is profound and it is a trend I have seen here lately. Not all Nigerian immigrant works as "Care Worker" here. I for one I'm a QA/QC Controller in a manufacturing company. The number of internaltional students who gets sponsorship and remains in the UK after their studies, is by far the few who doesn't, not to mention some who didn't have the intention to remain.

I'd say don't migrate to any place you do not love, because you wouldn't make it there. You will have to love the land to be able to eat the good thereof.

Stay in Nigeria and take the N200k job because with your pessimism about the UK; you wouldn't succeed here.

When I see posts like this talking about TAX, TAX in the UK and how difficult it is, I get surprised and suspicious if it is the same UK I have been in since 2021. UK is just like any other country where nothing is free. If you are lazy, and you think going to UK/US/Canada would be an escape; you are in for a rude awakening. A lazy man will not make it anywhere. My wife and I conveniently saved £15,000 in this same UK in 2022; this is on top of sponsoring my brother and his wife into the country and completing a house project for my father. Believe all you want, if you are lazy wether you go to UK or US or Canada you still will not succeed, and there are homeless people in US, Canada, Australia, UK and all over the world. It all depends on the individuals.
