Let me narrate this story.....
My mother lived in Sabo area in the town i was before i got married, i saw so many dramas perprtuated by these old mallams who married very young girls. There is a particular one that's so funny.......the man was a very wealthy hausa man who was in his sixties, one day he told my mum that he wanted to travel home to bring in a new wife(he already had 5 wives o), so he left and after about 2 weeks, he came back with a girl that is around 11/12 old, we all saw them when they both arrived and entered their house, but it never occured to us that, that girl is the new bride he had gone to bring, so at dusk, he came to my mum's shop(in front of his house) and my mum asked about the new wife and he said, its the girl he came together with, my mum exclaimed ha! He said why now, that is their practice there,to cut the long story short, when it was evening, we were hearing the little girl shouting "wayoo, wayoo, wayoo" and eventually ran out, the helpless girl ran to my mum's place and my mum asked what went wrong and she admitted that the s...ex was too painful. The Alhaji and his senior wives all came out with touchlight to look for the poor girl, they saw her in my mum's place and my mum begged the man to take it easy with the girl, that he should remember that shes just a little girl. The man was furious and warned my mum never to harbour her again, instead, she should send her back into the house. The funniest part is that, for the first one month of the marriage, the girl usually ran away when its about an hour prior to the time the man will come back from work, the man usually come back from the market around 9p.m,and around 8p.m, the girl would have ran away, its after he comes back that he and the senior wives will be looking for her, and there was one fateful day, that they didnt see this girl until after 3 days,so, by the time she was discovered, the man took the girl back to his state, but i dont know whether the marriage was dissolved or not.

So, all these our peado..phile senators, abeg. Leave these girls alone, help in shaping their future instead of ruining their lives.

alutawestand: I had an argument with my hubby last week friday. He said I like judging him wrongly and also remind him things of the past(ugly ones mostly)and don't respect him. That I always have a quick and sharp response to every statement he makes In the heat of the argument I told him I wanted a divorce.

He has refused to talk to me since then. He said he must grant me the divorce since I requested for it.

I tried apologising to him last night but he refused listening to me, that the only way he would know that I am serious and thereby accept the apology it is if I kneel down and beg him. This I refused doing.

This morning I tried apologising by chatting him up on BB but
he insisted that I must kneel down to know am serious. He said my apologies are not always original as I always go back to that same old character even after apologising.

I've told him that its dehumanising and moreover we only kneel down for God , but he told me I knelt down while giving him palmwine on the day of our traditional wedding. That I should go and find out the meaning of that. If I don't kneel down he will go ahead with the divorce.

Pls house I don't know if I should go ahead and kneel down for him to avoid problems. But to be sincere, I really find that dehumanising.

what does it cost you to kneel down for him, is he not your hubby, didnt you kneel for him on your wedding day, is he not older than you, infact what is the big deal here
Let me be sincere with you, you have made awkward utterances, which makes him to deserve your sincere apology, and if kneeling down for him is what he considered as a sincere apology, then do it.
May God uphold your home and mind what you say next time there is disagreement between you two, when you are angry, its better to keep quiet that utter statements that can be quoted in future.

Now, tell me, what belief or interest do they have in Nigeria, except to loot our money and go to foreign countries to squander it.

The lesson from my story is that, once marriage is consumated, these old men never wait for them to mature before inserting their big anacondas in the tender, tinny and very tight holes of these little girls.
So, leave these young girls alone to be of age and let them make their marital choice, many of them will prefer young man to very old men who are very close to their graves who enforce them into marriage, when they never understand what marriage is all about.

Please, i beg in the name of God, dont let it look like a crime being a girl child, let them be educated, bring them up properly, train them and when they grow up, they will not depart from the training, stop generalising that all girls are immoral, if their upbringing is proper, they will act accordingly.

Why cant you and others that are in leadership position create emploment oppotunities for people, so that poverty will be minimally reduced and young girls will not have to sell their bodies for money, also, their parents will not have to send them abroad to send dollars home, if you and your cohorts make life easy for them.
