We are nurturing in nature and its nothing to be ashamed of.... taking care of our home is our primary duty and this requires effective planing . So I really don't see how this should cause any commotion .

Atimes it might be difference in culture. Some cultures dont mind a little "Shut up mom" , " I freaking hate you mom" etc but before marriage to her you should communicate that your own parents wont be disrespected under any circumstance

Yes, its natural, lets not deceive ourselves,we are all humans, but its very wrong for parents to let it be obvious among them, its not even right to let d favourite child know he is d favourite, he will surely abuse it,or tell others. This issue requires WISDOM,if for example, u have 2 kids,one behaves as expected and d other seems to be stubborn, there is no way u will not like d well-behaved child than d other, but a wise parent will not let it show,,its just something u know within u.
D effects of letting it show are:
1. Other siblings will hate d favourite one, and if care is not taken, it may tear d family apart,eventually.
2.d favourite child may start to misbehave, believing dt "afterall, im d favourite, they cant do anything to me"thereby leading to over-pampering and if care is not taken to untimely destructn.
3. It may affect d sense of reasoning and judgement of d parent,because he/she will want to judge in favour of d favourite.
If care is not taken, it may tear d siblings apart, thereby, leading to disunity and disharmony among them.
May God help us all.

How i wish many of us can accept such as gift from God. Many of us praise God when all seems to be going on fine and well, but, when it is d other way, you start hearing, ha! God, why me? , what have i done to you that you did this to me, upon all my serving you, this is what i get? Etc. The bible says, those who believe in God must believes he is God and that He is d rewarder of those who diligently seek him. We have to prove to God that we sincerely love him by accepting whatever He brings our way. This is a typical example of those who really believe in God.

Well, according to our boss, he said d woman called her on sunday to inform him, but he told her to make sure she make herself available first, which d woman did not do, i guess that is one of d reasons for d boss' action, like i said i cant blame d our boss, because, its just too early to be absent from work after a long holiday, but it seems d woman was helpless.

if the women are not empowered economically, how will they break the cycle

my point is how do we settle d continuos conflict between career and family.
Our careers want to take all our time, as well as our family, give too much time to your career, d family suffers for it, and give too much time for your family, your career suffers for it, hope you get it, how do we do it in such a way that, family will not have clash with career and career will not have clash with family.

How is it possible for a mother to forget a baby on d car and drive away, may be she was under influence of alcohol, but that, notwithstandind, she didnt behave like a mother, this is one of my reasons why i always say
"not all mothers deserve to be called mothers"

@bjcole,Thanks for honouring me, its really interesting and i really doubt if we can really exhaust it as you have thought. Now, you want a finacially stable woman, and at d same time, women should know when to slow down, slow down on career or on family?
I think as you have said, d couple need to sit down and settle this between themselves, but d problem now is, wont d woman be seen as idle or lazy and dependent on d man, if she agrees to take it easy on her career and concentrate more on d family?

D fact is that, when we have a good partner, who appreciate us, we should also appreciate them, i dont see anything wrong with appreciating one's partner, if d partner is nice to us. I, as a person do appreciate my hubby each time he surprise me positively with anything, regardless of whatever it is and no matter how small it is. and that is how it should be. So, both of you are still staying d same thing.
