FamilyRe: My Wife thank you by greatgod2012(f): 7:45pm On Jan 02, 2013
debrief08: Lol Greatgod, isn't it the whole point of this thread? He is being over burdened and he is trying to plan with his wife to make the load lighter? The wife is not only refusing but adding more to the heavy load.
A moment ago you said men who ask for help are not real men, now you are saying every working wife will help, but the poster said his working wife not only refuses to help but asks for an additional allowance.
Which one is it? Plan with your husband and be a partner or stay and keep grabing?
i did not say women should nt assist their hubby, what i said is dt its not a good idea on d part of d man to be specifying which area d woman should come in to assist, i just dont like d idea, but i will never support women not supporting their hubby, unless she want to kill him faster.
FamilyRe: My Wife thank you by greatgod2012(f): 7:25pm On Jan 02, 2013
I dont know why a working class wife will not want to financially assist their hubby, may be they want them die prematurely, since d man has to be responsible for all d bills, forgetting that what they refuse to share with d man, they will have to do it all alone, by d time the wife use her selfishness and to much stress to kill him.
FamilyRe: My Wife thank you by greatgod2012(f): 7:15pm On Jan 02, 2013
debrief08: Wow @ greatgod, by you general defination my husband is less of a man while am not a good wife. Lol.
What works for others may not work for you but it doesn't make others who choose a different route less of anything or bad.
its like some of you dont really undestand my point here, i mean, its good to share bills, but i dont appreciate a situation where d hubby will call d wife, for example, saying.........ehn, since your salary is .....you take care of so...so...so....., while i take care of so...so...so, , i think this may make d woman feel somehow about d hubby, i prefer something like....... Take so...so...so... amount, this is what i can afford, it is now d woman dt will use her discretion to know how much to add to cmplement d hubby, this is my own take on this issue.
Anyway, as for me, i dont have problem as regards finance, he understand me, i understand him, he even know what thrills me, even, if im not given any money, cool words are what i need, and you will see things falling in their rightful places in d house.
No two marriages are d same, we have to understand what works for us and make use of it accordingly.
May God help us all.
FamilyRe: When Should A Couple Resume Love Making After Delivery? by greatgod2012(f): 6:32pm On Jan 02, 2013
feminine A: Different women with different strength. it all depends. I know a woman that resumes sex with her husband at 8 days after delivery. I resumed a moth later infact i was the one that asked for it though he was a bit skeptical about it.
Expect the woman had a CS she can resume as soon as she feels like
haaaaaaa! 8 days after delivery......hhhhmmmm, i no go talk, but huh

coogar: nah.....i am a faithful husband
besides, my spouse is an expert with her hands and tongue.
yee, coogar, im a virgin o, pls, dont corrupt my mind....oh no, my eyes.

On a serious note, if nothig serious happens to d woman after delivery, then 3-4 months will do, well, im expecting your bombshell, because me and hubby dey do am after 4 months.

How possible it is for an intending husband nt to knw d educational qualification of his intending wife, no offence pls, im just surprised.
As regards d patternity of d child, DNA test should clarify that.
Goodluck and best wishes.
But you will appreciate it if you tell him what to use his money for, right?! undecided
he is a real man, he doesnt need to be told what he should use his money for.
Btw, is this d only thing i wrote here. Accept it or not, telling your wife which responsibility of d house to handle makes you less a man. A good wife will never allow his hubby to do it all.....that is d essence of understanding in marriage and one of my reasons why i will never support woman being a full time housewife.

Wicked mad man!
FamilyRe: My Wife thank you by greatgod2012(f): 2:47pm On Jan 02, 2013
Im a married woman, i also work, but inasmuch as i dont believe in overburdening my man with responsibilities, i will not appreciate him telling me what to use my money for, what am i saying? With what you just said here, your wife is trying to tell you to be responsible based on your ability and capacity, to your family and not tell her what she should use her money for.
My advice: give her whatever you can afford and she will know how to spend it prudently, you will be surprised how shes gonna go a long way in making sure everything is in good shape in d house. To be honest with you, d day my hubby split d responsibilities and tell me which one to handle, is d day he will start to loose his respect in d house. Do what you can afford, and leave her with how and what she spend her money for.
A good woman will do anything to make sure you both succeed, what you just need is to trust her sense of reasoning.

Happy married life and may God give you d wisdom required in this new journey you both just emback on...... Amen
FamilyRe: I Read My Sister"s Diary And She Is Planning To Commit Suicide by greatgod2012(f): 1:55pm On Jan 02, 2013
First of all,try to talk to her in such a way that she will think you are just encouraging her.

Also, i will suggest you confide in an elderly matured, very matured man, let him know that you dont want her to know that you read her diary, hence, d man should try and talk to her as if an elderly is just advising a young woman, which she may not really read any meaning than God-sent to.
Pls, dont tell woman o, you know we woman, when it has to do with our children, na so so shout shout you go deh hear........"heeee, omo yii fe pa mi, kini mo se fun e, e gba mi o".....etc, are what d woman will just be shouting without any concrete action being taken.
Do not tarry, take action now b4 its too late.
May God help you.

P.S....... Before that lady can be depressed to that level, i want to believe d parents have failed to a certain extent........ I pray that after this problem is solved, it will serve as a wake up call for them..... Amen,

FamilyRe: Save This Situation- A Teenager by greatgod2012(f): 11:48am On Jan 02, 2013
I'm sorry to say this but the irresponsible attitude of his father is the root cause of the young man's problems.
All he needs now is some fatherly love and attention and not just putting food on the table and providing a roof over his head. Someone needs to talk some sense into his monkey brain.

Smh on how parents sometimes mismanaged their children.
thank you, Brand new........ some parents are just terrible, a child misbehaves and d next thing is to start cursing d child, threatening to disown d child.......blah, blah, blah....doesnt it occur to them that they are presenting themselves as a failed parent when they put on those silly actions...hhhmmm .... smh for that his dad.
FamilyRe: Should I Go Ahead And Propose by greatgod2012(f): 11:39am On Jan 02, 2013
@ op, let me ask you few questions, why did you think her pregnancy was rejected by her dad, did she tell you that, if yes, did you ask b4 telling you? That thought is a terrible thought, u really need to erase such thought and ask questions instead of speculating, if need be.
Now to d post, if you really love her and her character, propose to her and if your parents raise any eyebrow, try to respectfully educate them on why you think that is irrelevant. You are a man, you should know what you want, if she is d type you want as a wife, i dont think d sketchy background, as you called it, should separate you.
May God help you to make d right decision.
FamilyRe: Can You Allow Your Child To Live With Another Person? by greatgod2012(op): 11:04am On Jan 02, 2013
Thanks all for your responses.
@ chaircover, ileobatojo &others who asked for why...... This is what really happened:
The aunty is d elder sister of her mother, all her children are grown-ups, they are all based in abroad.
My friend took her children to d aunty for a week holiday, and when d woman brought them back to their mother, she claimed to love one of d children dearly claiming she is d most well-behaved among them all, and that she will love d child to be living with her, and since then she has been pestering my friend to allow d kid live with her, which she has now granted her.
But as for me, i dont think its right to train d children under different persons, d girl may likely not like to be separated from other siblings, which she may not know how to explain. Above all, how do i know d woman will really take good care of d girl.....these and some others are my fears....
Cheers!
FamilyRe: Please I Need Advice-i Don't Wanna Do Something silly by greatgod2012(f): 7:41am On Jan 02, 2013
First of all, i love you for not wanting to hurt your mum, keep it up, God will help you.
I think she is trying to protect you from being wayward and being misled thru friends, but believe me, she is using wrong approach, that is d mistake that some parents make, preventing their teenage children from making open friends, instead of encouraging them to have open friendship, open friendship in d sense that, they allow their children to bring home their friends which will enable them (d parents) to know d types of friends their children are keeping, thereby, using d avenue to guide them, having used their own experience to study d so called friends, which may even sometimes lead to s.e. x education, instead of bragging around d house.
The parents who tries to prevent their children from bringing home their friends have forgotten that they cant follow their children everywhere and that the more secret a friendship is, d more harm its likely to have.
They have also forgotten that, if they refuse to educate their children accordingly, d children may seek confidants from outside, which may be harmful and misleading.
@op, i personally will encourage you to tell your mum how you feel about her restrictions as regards disallowing you to make friends. Try and educate her on how she can be of great assistance in your choice of friends, which cant be possible if they are not allowed to come visiting you at home. Start from there, and if shes adamant, we can go from there as to solving d problem in a more complex way.
I wish you goodluck.
@ parents, this is an eye opening thread, lets allow open friendship with our children, it enables us know d type of friends they are rolling with, which can be used as d criteria for guiding and educating them.
May God help us all.

jidegirl12: That's a tough one o madam, I always bluff about this particular situation but honestly I don't think I can sleep at night without all my kids under the same roof safe and sound... especially under 6 is complete no no..... some people just do things to make other people happy I get it but flying your kid like a kite should not be part of it .... So what's her hubby's take on this ?
i thought im d nly ne thinking like this.
As per d hubby, since she said she is granting her aunty's request, i guess she had talked with her hubby into acceptance.

Even though i didnt see this thread on time, i will still comment.
There is nothing so special about d day, it has d same 24 hours other days are having, it has morning, afternoon and evening other days are having, it has d same day and night other days are having. People die and get born on d day just like every other day, so, nothing special, only that it get overated by people.

FamilyRe: Can You Allow Your Child To Live With Another Person? by greatgod2012(op): 5:37am On Jan 02, 2013
dayokanu: It depends on who the person is and the circumstance

If my kid has to go to school in a far away city and a very responsible family friend lives there, I dont have any reason to stop him
this is another case, d kid im talking about here is less than 6 years old.

But, even in your case, i will prefer hostel to living with a relative.
Remember.... Human heart is desperately wicked, no one can know it, says d bible, u never can tell what a person can do with your child when you are not there. Me, I no fit o.

Happy New Year to all and sundry.
Yesterday, a friend of mine came to celebrate new year with me. Along the line, while gisting, she told me about how her aunty has been begging her to allow one of her children to live with her and that she has decided to grant her aunty's request. All my explaination on the dangers involved fell to her deaf hears, saying, i was only being selfish and overprotective. But to me o , if im still alive, i dont think i can leave any of my children to live with either a relative or a friend. So, whats your take on this, am i truly selfish and over-protective? What are d dangers or benefits involved?
Expecting your mature responses. Thanks.

somebody: Happy new year Ikanium, I transferred the 45,000 naira to your account, please confirm receipt - I would appreciate that ALL my details are kept confidential. When you pay your fees and do this ASAP, post the teller on this thread so people who want to help you with living expenses can do so with confidence that they are not funding a scammer. If you fail to do this, then I guess the people doubting you would have been right. I too have promised a token for your living expenses but that will only be till i get confirmation that your fees have been paid. Also, please send your email address by PM, I will like to keep abreast of your progress. God be with you.
you have done wonderfully well for this young man, may God continue to water your garden, in this new year and beyond, may you not have cause to regret being good. Thank you.
Happy new year to you! kiss
FamilyRe: My People I Need Help by greatgod2012(f): 3:37am On Jan 02, 2013
Kobojunkie: Your story is typical of many, in fact most who have, in at least the last 10 years, moved back to Nigerian only to regret it. I suggest you first spend some time figuring out why you are not happy living in America. Then work on that problem, so that you do not carry them over to Nigeria and possibly ruin your chances there too. There are tons of stories of people like you who moved back, and for one reason or another had to find their way back. Some others are still struggling trying to make sense of it all. Many came back dejected and bitter.

Also, the fact that you have no clear idea what you want to go do in Nigeria( no laid out business plan and no definite on how things will work) is indication you are not ready for Nigeria.
well spoken, im in Nigeria, not that she cant make it in Nigeria but d fact that she doesnt have d clear picture of what she is coming to do in nigeria is d beginning of her failure. Thanks for this eye opening advice.
Happy new year to you!
FamilyRe: Pls Advice I Love My Wife But Something Is Happening by greatgod2012(f): 3:29am On Jan 02, 2013
@ op, i have vowed not to insult anybody, but, pls, dont push me to d wall, you are really tempting me, i feel like insulting you from morning till eve, but i will indulge you.
Try to get a job.
Stop tempting yur wife, because if both of you dont stop now, you will definately loose her to him or to someone else, because of d long throat that both of you are endowed with.
With d way you talked, you sound more like an adolescent carry over adult, so pls, grow up and act as a real and mature guy before it gets to d stage where your woman will bring in a man into your house and you will be asked to entertain d man, because of what you stand to gain at d end of d deal.
Above all, both of you (you and your wife)are frauds, you need to be avoided.

Heeeee, i almost forget, who is using d BB your benevolent sent to your wiffy, i guess you are d one, its part of d blessing too, abi? Ole...... Oh! You finally push me to calling you "ole"

FamilyRe: Can You Remarry Your Divorced Spouse by greatgod2012(f): 3:06am On Jan 02, 2013
jidegirl12: Wow at the bolded...... Anyways IMO why not?.... some people will do anything to get their parents 20 something years broken marriage together so 7 years is a piece of cake ..... I'd say he should go for it .... as long as they want to start on a clean slate.
my sister, it happens, just as you said.
Precisely, May 2012, one of my hubby's aunties came back together after more than 20 years of divorce, thru their children's intervention and pleading. Though, none of them remarry after d divorce/separation, i think that made d coming together easier.
