Ireportlive:There is nothing actually as immunity after office. It is just politics, party interest, and then nothing else |
You see? There's no way Emefiele would be tried thoroughly that it won't implicate Buhari and others. We are not ready yet... |
What in the name of common Sense is 40+ ministers? They justified it by saying that so that many people will be employed under the ministers? To think this is the best thinking that can come from a government claiming to be on the side of the people. Their soldiers on NL are swearing with their lives it is the best move. Shitty craps |
A typical Nigerian loves poverty more than having great leaders. What have you to do with food that can't last 2 weeks? Government has already inflated the money budgeted for it. The contractor has more than enough made cutthroat gain... |
Cogs:They can never arrest him. Falana has always been vocal even during Buhari's era, and he couldn't arrest him. For what will they do that exactly? For saying the truth/fact? Buhari with past military couldn't even do that. Abacha is no more alive. Even during military era, Falana has always spoken. He is not a strange to an arrest. Present government is sitting delicately. They seem not to ever want to do what will cause uproar, for the fact that many seem not to have confidence in the government. Judiciary verdict still hanging. Govt is acting like they want to please the masses, but it is all sham though. They will do anything to appear like pleasing the people. |
Some have been stealing since over 20 years ago, and they are still going stronger. |
Tntsi:Watch out for them. I don't need to read these plenty threads, but I am very sure those slaves will still come on here to defend their slave masters as though their lives depend on it. |
Dialpad:Yeah indeed it quite small. But if you want to sincerely answer this question, the answer is glaring already: does an average politician sacrifice anything for the good of this country? Of course, this may be argued that they are not politicians but appointment-based. Even with that, more than half of them have houses in FCT, if not all. And of course, they are actually politicians. You mentioned poverty...who created and institutionalize/weaponize poverty in Nigeria if not the politicians? Covid 19 palliatives story still fresh. When you hear that our political offices are too attractive, that's what it means. Nigeria is in red, there is none of them who could sacrifice nothing. May be one in hundreds could... I am aware of a governor who was not collecting salary but was diverting his salary to add up on pensioners in his state. So we heard, either true or not. If true, he's a rare breed. There was a story of some particular senators in the US who after getting to Washington (Capital) from their respective states rented apartments and shared lobbies or so, which they were paying for from their personal monies. It wasn't a big news to them because they were elected to serve, not to come and become wealthy. There is hardly a Nigerian politician who would do that. |
For individuals who have possibly billions already as a result of their past milking of national cake. To think that politicians will sacrifice for you in Nigeria is a delusion... 40+ ministers multiplied by 7.7M... |
aybabz101:You said it all. |
General Shocker. Nigerian biggest leadership error. |
Really? |
LIVINGICONREBOR:You are a comedian in Chief ![]() I sincerely heard the comedian voice behind your first line! Lol Some people want to get happiness by all means even in tribulation, sorry, tinubulation |
spiSeyi:I wonder why none of them is thinking in this direction. How can a nation this big not have a working refinery?? Taking bad loan to offer temporary solutions?? I think it is true when they said that not making refinery to work is deliberate. |
Temporary solution. When will refinery work ![]() |
Inherited it from who? Did they force him to inherit it? |
Engage with a property lawyer. |
Dey play. How many charges against Buhari who he worked for? Did Buhari say Emefiele didn't work for him? |
Jestin:Exactly! They have left the major, they are looking for the alternatives or just temporary mopped up solution. No agenda to fix refinery whatsoever. Dangote is the monarch of Nigeria. |
Taylor90:You said it all. Same crop of old non performing thieves. Almost 50 ministers in this austere economy. |
Racoon:Say it as it is. They took government out of propaganda, reason they are not fitting to remain there. All the foot soldiers I wonder if they are not experiencing same economy now. Their voices have drowned. What policy has government done to salvage the free fall of naira till date, with all the praises people have heaped on him as the one who tamed the Atlantic?! |
Racoon:You nailed it. Labour leaders already caught feelings. Believe politicians to your own hurt. Beside, this particular statement is chief among other lies. |
taylor88:Sanwo-Olu is from Ogun. |
Ikaeniyan0:That's the way it should be but you see that Akpabio, he will do anything to make the one who saw to it that he emerged the Senate President happy. Moral tendencies are at the lowest even if it exists at all, of course while the system that brought them there in the first place is so flawed |
Too bad |
But blinded "our mandate" folks on NL keep saying that Nigeria has ability to prosecute war. Many of them are still tied to their parents apron. Anyone who has seen war doesn't pray for war again. Even as a winner in war, you still lose a lot. And Nigerian economy is best described as comatose |
Winters23:You are too apt and on point |
negaiyke:Master Strategist my foot. Appointments of rewards for helping to stand at my side. Obasanjo who was not termed a strategist assembled more bright minds and achievers than this na my-turn appointment. |
tsdarkside:Baby's talk. Baby's babble. What do you know about manpower and economy? People who can lecture even your teachers are on public forums sending subtle messages to FG to never go for needless war, you and your lots are on NL rambling in the name of opinions. Why is US not going for war against Russia leading NATO despite enough provocation from Russia? It is because US is lacking manpower and arsenal right? Nigeria is struggling economically, then they should go headlessly into war? You think only what is needed to prosecute war is manpower? Baby with baby's talk. |
tsdarkside:In war, all parties involved lose. Let's forget about Nigerian military being the strongest. Nigerian millitary that has been overstretched? Fighting insurgency for more than a decade? With new service chiefs still adjusting? Nigerian economy is in shambles presently; you don't fight war independent of your economy. Why didn't US go into head-to-head war with Russia despite Russia provocation to lure them in the Ukrainian war? US has not recovered economically from war campaigns in the middle east Nigeria being the largest in the West Africa will be expected to contribute more than the smaller countries. The war won't be Nigerien war alone, you can see collaborations and solidarity coming up for Niger. The West want to use West Africa for the next theater of war. War isn't fun. Ecowas should think more than twice before throwing caution to the wind. |
Self-destruct mode. Who incarcerated Kanu, who is suffering sit-at-home? Your people or above-the-law government? |
AmadorSays:Yeah! But you know that when we don't have many standards here, where it is normal for public office holders to mismanage funds and go away with it, when eventually we see one that tries to actually carry out his responsibility and fulfil why he was put in place, even by 50%, we begin to hail and term them huge success. In the grand scheme of things, compared to real success they are meant to be measured against, they didn't do well. What makes some governors look performing much in Nigeria is premised on the fact that they didn't "steal" like their predecessors or borrowed more in order to look like doing more. Governor Otti of Abia State has a great chance to be seen as very "successful" as a governor eventually. You know why? It is hard to say if any governor in Abia State since 1999 has done anything substantial. |
