Funnyandviral:I really shared your thoughts. Read through my first post to you again. We are saying same thing as regard powerful countries invading one another with great caution. They all know what is at risk. In the past decades , US often invade less powerful countries. Biden has been hit and jeered the more because his voice was louder and sounded as a warning to Putin before Russia invasion, only after invasion, almost a whisper from Biden is all we could hear. Can't really blame him, it would be foolhardy of him to go headlong against Putin. Severity of Covid, none has fully recovered from. It caused US a whole lot more, can you see inflations going through the roof because of excess dollars in circulation? It will be suicidal to now head to war again at such a time as this. People saying Putin wouldn't have tried it with Trump are saying factual lies, yeah because Trump was getting in romance with Putin until ousted from the White House. Even Trump would have chosen his battles with utmost care. He talks more than he thinks and his brags are nothing but surely brags. |
cyprus000:Shitty head, stop mentioning me. I never quoted you. I don't quote withered brain who name-call and can't argue objectively. Follow your ilks and get lost. |
FERNANDEZISBACK:What future effects to come would be worse than this, many dimwits on here have been saying those sanctions won't amount to anything. Let's wait. |
Funnyandviral:Your assertions are partially true. Wealthy countries with robust economy also control power to a degree. And it is true that the world powers will really really hesitate among themselves to invade one another. Not trying to justify US at all; US has her lopsided approaches and view, depending on factors such as party in presidency, personality, present economic policies, etc Having stated that, it is however not on the same ground that US 'invaded' Syria, Libya and Afghanistan that Russia is invading Ukraine. All those places you mentioned have been having internal issues. Nation-wide protest was going against Ghadaffi already causing unrest, Syria was having almost decade-long crisis, Afghanistan's was traceable to al-queda and terrorism seat, and especially, more like a revenge of September 11 attack on the US. All these don't look exactly like Russia taking war into Ukraine because of Putin's insinuations into a country (Nazi's affliation, tendencies of joining issues with NATO , etc) which is not facing internal turmoil. I am aware of Donetsk and other place within Ukraine declaring for Russia, but yet, the aggression of Russia against Ukraine can't be termed as that of "intervention". |
The most critical and pathetic former POTUS alive you seem. Criticizing everything breathing or dead like a destiny call, leadership-to-the-dog kinda human. You would not see past POTUS taking on their fellows like it's a life mission, but garrulous Trump. Biden has plenty errors, but alas! It's his time. Go sit yourself down and breathe freely. He defeated you, for once try to recover from that |
Shame yet on Russia. With all the ammunition and boasts of superpower, Russia couldn't humiliate Ukraine, so much that they would have to resolve to using nukes not proper in modern day wars?! On a levelled playground, you are already a failure so far, so cheat has to be introduced. Cheat remains a cheat |
PrinceOfLagos:Same with Russia. Anyone without much knowledge of international policies and relations will say those sanctions against Russia by committee of nations are nothing. Just wait. |
obedience4:Are you minding them, so many teenagers on the platform dabbling into discussion they ought to rather learn from, just because of availability of cheap data. |
mike8804:"Russia is the only country that can't be conquered" sounds so far, far fetched. Because of 11 timezones? Germans military and weapons couldn't do well under the extreme cold in Russia as they pursued the Russians further in, which was a trap in itself, they had to abandon them within Russia territory and capitulated in that pursuit, Russia didn't win because of their military prowess but weather that destroyed mostly Germans weapons. Check history well again. Beside, Germans couldn't overcome RAF (UK) which was why Hitler didn't invade Britain. German army spread too thin, fighting hither and thither, without Russia, they couldn't have won the war even till the end. Again I say, check history well. Turn it around, if it had been Russia against the rest of the world, I am sure this narrative of "the only country that can't be conquered" won't be it. Russia shares border with about 14 countries, that's a vulnerability alone in itself. And your post is almost applauding Russia for invading a sovereign nation on the basis of what can't add up from the lips of Putin. Let Ukraine add the media propaganda or whatsoever you call it to their fight, I think they need it, Ukraine never boasted that she's more superior to Russian might, so they need sympathy, enough of which I feel they have got and still getting; rather Russia should be ashamed that days into their war campaign against an underdog, they have had more casualties than necessary. Shame on Putin. |
As if the world has not experienced turmoil enough. Next time, before any country rolls out drums of war, count and weigh the cost... More implications yet to come. |
Looks like a foolish decision, especially to many ignorant ones right here, but that's actually what's best to do. 1. Not all wars or battles are yours to fight. There are wars you win by avoiding them. He who fights and runs will live to fight another day. 2. The war of 21st century is war of supremacy of economy. Any world power that goes into war these days won't recover economically for decades to come. Germany is still paying for the foolishness of Adolf Hitler for plunging the world into WW2 3. The invasion of Ukraine by Russia doesn't concern US directly. Ukraine has never joined NATO officially, so US will be on her own, to go headlong into war with bloodthirsty Putin. The best bet would be NATO against Russia(had it been Ukraine already belongs to NATO), not US all alone. Nuff said... |
timefarm:How men can repeat history with such precision! |
olatade:Exactly. So talented a man... So unique like Akon's voice, even more. There's hardly anyone who does it better than him in his part of the country...perhaps |
Always using fine names for these destructive elements... E be things o |
Grow up Cuppy |
There was a country. They need to fear because it wasn't possible for Kyari to be doing all sort without the knowledge of his superiors, might not be all, but definitely some. Greater fear is that getting to the conclusion of the whole matter is not promised. Most eople in power mostly are there to use power to serve themselves first and keep their dirty stuff in the dark forever. Power corrupts. Tell me one singular power broker on the corridor of power who doesn't misuse power ... especially among blacks?! Simply, Kyari has backers and business partners among his superiors. |
HantaVirus:Exactly! All these toddlers saying that US is a coward or Russia is so-so are nothing but as they are called. Even for the country with most buoyant economy, no one has enough resources for war in this 21st century. No one can estimate right the cost of war unless when war is concluded. Germany is still receiving sanction for the role of their dictator leader leading to second WW. Japan still has not forgotten scars of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Not even the war that might be fought with chemical/biological and nuclear weapons... No country can ever be ready. War is not funfare, even any country which claims to win at the end of a war will record losses and licks its wound. It is babies who think reluctance to fight a war is cowardice. US has much more to lose. |
The world doesn't belong to just one person. What goes around, comes around. |
oluseyiforjesus:Common sense they say is never common. That's why they say these guys don't just value Nigerians. What's happening across the breadth and length of the country on a daily basis is enough reason to declare state of emergency on national security here and there. Worse still, so called 'war' against terrorism and banditry is compromised to the full. |
phemmyfour:Orin wa, asa wa.. ko s'ohun to daa to... |
What inspired these names they gave these children? Odiegwu |
Prophet777:Well done sir. You are a big daddy for bringing this title to the fore. It has been ages. |
YinkaOlusesi:Exactly... Stranger than fiction it is. And you know what? American lifestyle gets copied and pushed to the rest of civilised world so easily... This pattern is becoming a norm in many places among celebrities. In fact, it is not new again. New age, new order. |
PrinceOfLagos:Exactly. Misleading caption. But you know they wouldn't, those ones are instruments. |
FreeStuffsNG:David wasn't a Christian that's why he could fall right? May be you can throw more light, whatever you meant by that. Your own definition of discipline is for his assembly to be done away with him and never to have anything to do with him again according to 2 Thes.3:6 you quoted? You care to explain yourself again, because it seems you are the only one who knows what you are talking about. You admitted that his Church must discipline him, what did I write earlier? Or how if I ask should the Church discipline him aside from the things I mentioned earlier (counselling him, suspending him from officiating, praying for him, etc), going by the Scriptures you quoted, "... withdraw yourselves from everybody that walks disorderly..." is that the discipline you are talking about? I don't have problem with the fact that you don't know that people higher up in pedestals face more temptations than people on ground or low cadre. Maintaining the top is harder than getting to the top... Whichever way you interpret that doesn't ruffle me. Now about he who has desecrated his marital vows by impregnating someone else, I don't know him personally, I ain't writing to absolve him of his errors. Whatever has led him to that isn't one day's errors, and consequences of errors are real, thus you don't need to feel like I am taking side with him. My point is that your Scriptural quotation doesn't apply; to discipline a fallen Christian isn't that the Church must withdraw from him or cut him from their gathering and have nothing to do with him again, especially if he wants to repent and admit his errors. You saying that he did all those willingly is as saying that even if he turns to God truly afterwards and wants to stop his deliberate sins, God won't hear him ever again and Church should cast him. Let him that stand take heed. |
FreeStuffsNG:Suspending himself is for himself, his personal ministry I think. Another suspension ought to be from his own Church which he attends. That's the way it is done. And the length of church suspension can't be determined by him but by church authority. 2 Thes. 3:6,14 doesn't really apply. There are enough doctrinal Scriptures that talk about how to handle someone who falls, which include prayers for the person, counseling suspending him from officiating and so on, none is about sending him away from the midst of brethren if he truly REPENTS and serves his suspension with remorse to show for it. Lastly it is easier to criticise someone when it is not you. I am not speaking for him that he did well. Foundation of God is sure, and God cannot be mocked ... However even Bible warms that if anyone falls, a standing brother should help him stand in the spirit of meekness and not of pride, lest he be tempted himself. There are have been men of God perceived to be bigger than him and have fallen in this country and have truly repented and restored. Criticizing someone after he fell doesn't make the critic a better Christian. There is no one who can't be tempted ... It takes the grace of God and a whole lot of personal self-denying to keep up, and even after falling, to still return back to God. It is easier to handle failure than success. Successful people have more doses of temptations than someone still struggling to stand. David didn't fall until he became comfortable. |
Quest7777:Good one. Balanced views of things. I like your analysis. |
Even the dumbest knows this. |
dfrost:No coach can please everybody. If you check the thread of Nigeria Vs Tunisia, that's what many were recommending. And truly how many attempts came from Awoniyi, or even combined with Ihenacho? I am sure if he didn't eventually remove them, people will still blame him. Sadiq and the other Yoruba guy who came in, I checked both were striking... Just my thought. No coach can please everybody. |
humberjade:Even after campaign and being sworn in, US leaders still do most of these things as their schedules permit. It's a normal thing for their Presidents to go for district schools sport festival, visit ailing and sick people in the hospitals, and so on. Obama was once found in one of his terms fracternising with ordinary citizens in a pub |
