He should rather respect himself further by not seeking to go back to Aso Rock. He didn't forget anything there. Devil wants to soil the honour he has been able to garner for himself by leaving power voluntarily back then, if he attempts becoming a President again. |
orohbiro:Putin was never a general. Like how? He first studied law even before joining the army. Becoming a general is not an easy feat, and beside experience,it takes many years. His highest rank before leaving army was lieutenant colonel. Get your facts together. |
Nameislong! |
SmartProf:Prof, take it easy for him o. You have come gun fight with nukes and all. He deserves it I think. ![]() |
9182736455O1999:You can imagine! No wonder they often choose the kind of leaders they have got per time. To many Nigerians, Putin is the hero. They have a thing for oppressor in leadership |
Northernblood5:If you ask them further, they might say US also invaded Libya, Afghanistan and so on, and no body raised eyebrows |
Kastonkastroll:In wars, there are always professional individuals who still deliver their duties, examples, war-zone journalists, red-cross/WHO/health officials trained for that mission, normally they are not supposed to be killed except for stray bullet or the likes. They are don't always take side with any warring parties. The account of this man says he has been doing this for years. |
Righteousness2:Why didn't you limit yourself to your italicized comment on your righteousness episodes. You are becoming a preacher, the judge and the politician all at the same time. Politics isn't your forte, what do you know about America not having power again? Is China a Christian country? Is China powerful or not? |
Dreamhighnow:I wonder o... And Ukraine isn't among the highly-ranked world power militarily o. The gods, I think, have made Putin mad already, before he would eventually be killed. |
MajesticKris:The fearful aspect is that some people even on this platform will defend these lacklustre human beings at goverment seats with their lives. How can a country be getting lower and lower with every emerging government? APC, PDP alike, and same ![]() |
Pauldollars:Don't know why those criticizing Ukraine President can't reason in the line of your statement. Putin is dragging a whole country down because of blind and somewhat personal vendetta against Ukraine or Ukraine president. So much for a President that his Ministers are at arm's length and almost everyone is afraid to say the truth. Is that one a democracy again. Putin runs Russia like a personal estate, being a President for a decade or more. So-called Oligarchs are said to be his frontmen for running his businesses all over the world. You wonder why Oligarchs' businesses are being sanctioned everywhere if not that those businesses are principally owned by Putin as a major stakeholder in them. Just a single man. Yet, it is Ukraine's President who refuses to submit that's the problem. |
This man became more foolish when he took up this appointment. Where will he put his face when his time or appointment elapses? We should encourage the President to do his work?? Seriously, if the President of a Nation needs courage to do his work, he has no moral reason to be a president in the first place! They call President the number 1 citizen of the land, meaning the very best of all things are there to serve him, even if the poor masses are dying of hunger, so with all the luxuries that go with public offices, especially in Nigeria, we still need to encourage him/political office holders... |
And so what? This is why Nigeria remains a dwarf. Is Russia doing a right thing? Forget if US has once done similar times past, what is bad, is bad. If Nigeria is truly independent and a giant, why will Nigeria be afraid to say facts as facts are. Everything is imported, everything! |
You no get past, raise your hand. Besides, nothing to be ashamed of, in as much he was not into stealing |
Bobloco:Hmmm Sincerely... And 2015 isn't too long or so far away year really! What a legacy for the present goverment. |
Power... So transient, yet so intoxicating to humans! Man will exercise power as though he'll not eventually leave power and it'll at last be out of power, as though he has never been in power. What have you, that you were not given? If you were given, why bragging as if you were not given in the first place? |
Better. Bring it on. |
sanpipita:From this unfortunate war alone, it has let me know that there are so many uninformed minds on this platform than I used to think. |
Kingpin1000:Anyone calling for boycotting entirely anything US will possibly go and start from the prehistoric time again. No doubt, there's division already. |
But you are acting like a saint right? Sanctions will deal with you, you will forget your name |
. |
Everything you say about him is true. Ordinary "eye" can't contact madness |
Allies of Putin on nairaland would wish otherwise |
joyandfaith:Bless your heart! That's why American democracy is still the ideal, and most embraced one: do your maximum of two terms and vacate that office. US isn't perfect on many fronts, but the standards they created as the foundations of the country set them on a path they are today. Man shouldn't and can't be trusted with absolute powers for too long. Putin has been the President for more than 10 years or thereabout. He has equally been a prime minister before. Power-drunk. |
This same bloodthirsty Putin is many people's hero on nairaland. History, they do not know. |
Now you know. A puppet to do all his biddings. Man is a selfish creature. A selfish man with power is as a loose cannon. |
Dream and reality. |
Svlla:Well, perspectives are meant to differ. But mark it, even if China or any country with mad leader like Kim of North Korea, with nukes in their arsenal pose a threat to Russia, Putin will think twice before invading them. Whatever he is doing to Ukraine now, it stems out of the fact that Ukraine is never a match in everything for Russia, yet, days later, they can't still totally subdue them. Ukraine has never been part of EU, until now that her application to be part of EU is being filed, why would EU negotiate on the part of Ukraine. All the supports with ammunition has been by individual's countries and it is more like an indirect message to Putin that he goofed with his moves. Look at FIFA and co sanctions, I am sure FIFA is non-native of just Europe, they are passing a message to Putin. More or less like saying NATO should help the two negotiate. |
Svlla:Not saying that EU is doing the best or not, but what do you think that EU should have done better? Continue to look as a superior nation squeezes to death a neighboring country? Two wrongs don't make a right, however Russia started in the wrong first for invading a sovereign state to squash her because she feels she's superior in every sense. I'm sure Russia won't try that with China or even North Korea. What should concerned countries have done including EU, because supports have been coming not only from EU? |
FERNANDEZISBACK:Yes, he needs it, hopefully he will serve as lessons to "power-drunks" like him. Some still believe all these sanctions mean nothing. Let's see how far he can fare. He who the gods want to destroy they must first make mad. |
Prudent5217:I appreciate that you argued and brought out your lines without abuse. Not so many folks like that on this faceless site. |
Prudent5217:A rather partial claim from you there: Ukraine bombing Donbas region. What led to this conflict you didn't tell us. Separatist regions being backed by Russia militias to become rebels siezing goverment-owned properties and all , fighting the Ukraine federation in the name of independence because of Russian government, do you expect Ukraine to fold arms? Even with all this, does this warrant Russia to declare war and invasion on Ukraine |
