Hello guys, so I'm skeptical about this decision I'm about to take, my girlfriend will be joining the next batch of NYSC and I have been thinking of telling her to work it to Lagos.

Truth is, she learned fashion design sometime and she likes modelling for clothing brands and she teaches too, I believe with all of this she stands a chance of getting something tangible in Lagos than going to serve in one village.

My fear is this, (I recently got an accommodation, a single room self contain on the island, haven't even told her yet)
So I need time to plan my future, I'm not fit financially to start fending for someone, if I am then my younger sister should be the one to come over ( though her service year is next year)

But if my gf is to come here, the agreement will be clear and concise, you fend for yourself while I fend for myself, don't worry, the relationship is that defined and she understands.

My reason of wanting to do this for her is cause she has been very nice to me and she has helped me out financially and otherwise in the past though I repaid her.

But guys, my major fear is living with a girl in the same house, won't attachment get serious, what if she gets pregnant? I don't want anything to hinder my plans, I'm 29 actually and I'm not planning to settle down anytime soon.

Take it from me, nobody who lives in a self contain can work NYSC to Lagos for anyone. In fact if you have the money for working her Nysc to Lagos,the chances that you will succeed is very low. Not to talk of a poor guy like,even your savings isn't enough.

I thank God for the opportunity to open this thread, for my life, the body of Christ and all Children of God whom he will use to speak to me via this thread!
I am believer for 11 years now, I attend a living Church, a minister in the youth department of the church.
My life is in a standstill or rather in a retrogressive mode financially. I am 37 years, single brother, a graduate, but no employment, no money, no house. I am still living with my elder brother. Any business I lay my hand will crumble, I have never secured a good job since 2013 I left service, I worked as teacher in a private school in Lagos for 5 years but couldn't save any thing. I discovered that once I save up money, a mysterious power will just scatter it one way or the other. At a point I stopped saving.
I resigned from teaching and opted for many business but they all failed, Every night I dream of either when I am still in primary, secondary, university or NYSC. I just wake from one of such dreams where I was doing a menial job I did in 2007 to sponsor my University education.
Brethren, I have fasted, I have prayed, I have gone for deliverance severally. I have done three days dry fasting two times because of this problem.
Though I am giver, I don't receive favour, people in church believe I am a man of God.
I have so much failed in business that I am now afraid of attempting any new business. My elder brother (in whose house I stay, married with two kids) is almost tired of helping me. Currently I have no job, no money, no business yet I faithfully handle the Church finances.
At a point I will become so depressed and frustrated that I will begin to pray for death. If not for offending God and HELL fire, I would have commited suicide long ago.
My case is so messed up that men of God in the Church believe I should be the one praying for people!
God seemed silent in my matter, I am not motivated to fast or pray about my condition again!
I teach seminar in the Church teaching youths how to make money, full of wisdom, ideas, integrity yet financially miserable.
I just woke up from one my miserable dreams, created this new moniker to hide my popular identity on nairaland.
Note, I am already used to all manner of attacks in the dream! Cob-webs follow me everywhere, even sometimes in an open field or in a place where someone has passed before me.
What could be happening to me? I am trusting God to use a Spirit-filled brother/sister to speak to me.

Your problem is you think your problem is spiritual,your mind has been made to think some higher power are holding you back. That's why you are loosing,you have been defeated in your mind.
First,you must free your mind from the imaginary bondage you put it. Your dreams are a replay of your past experiences.
Your situation is as a result of Nigeria's economy and lack of opportunities. If you meet the right person today your story will change. You need a job. When you are gainfully employed and doing ok,all those rubbish dreams will stop.
The worst years of my life was the time I prayed most and was very active in church. Until I realized that God is good,even to non Christians. He doesn't need my prayers or church activities to bless me,now I pray less thank God more and rarely go to church. And my life is better than ever.

What is love? Love is not emotions or feeling good towards a girls beauty. Love is commitment,an action word. You can't say you love a girl and want to get married right away without any source of living. It's wickedness.
