- The building is within an estate.
- Regulations are made to put controls within the estate. Some folks can anyhow in an unregulated estate. The restrictions are fair enough in this estate.
- In terms of security and infrastructure development, estate plots are better.

Mind you, I don’t cut corners. Your roof is:

- 0.55 step tiles
- it is step tiles roofing and not long span roofing as you claim. A professional roofer can see the step tiles corrugations. See the white marks on the pic below.
- the person who plastered the house for you messed up the sheets by placing planks on it while plastering the pent.
- Your issue is completely error in design and you’d always be having issues in the 2 first floor parapet wall area and not on the pent floor.

Always come to class next time and don’t always sit at the back sir.

He went ahead and tell the architect who designed the house to come and explain how to do the roof

Walking away is not an option because obviously I’m the one who is breaching an agreement.

The scope of work includes roofing a house. So all the excuse of the roof design won’t work or not is not my headache.

In government agencies, there is SERVICOM, to the public there's Public Complaints Commission, in corporate organizations you find that box with special inscription: "Complaints". Some provide a toll free telephone line to address criticism and dissatisfaction.

Brabus has his complaint box filled. Let him attend to it professionally.

They might be trolls to you but I see complainants that if not addressed fully may damage his business. No business man need a bad review.


I got a contract to repaint a huge public building. I mentioned my paint maker in the same complex and they guys I employed to paint the building who doubled as staffs in the complex vow never to use his paint cos he produces a bad paint. According to them the paint maker paints has greatly put them into problems that almost sacked some that I should go outside the complex to purchase quality paint.

I insisted and went to the paint maker with all the allegations. Surprisingly, he owned up to producing bad paint when he set up the factory new but over time he has improved on the criticisms and experiences. He promise to give me dulux standard and eventually delivered over 150 drums of paint which is still glittering till date.

My point: Brabus learn a thing or two from that build that will improve his next job. So please don't call experience maker a troll.

There was a time 8 storey building collapsed in Rivers state. You need to pass through the site to imagine the professionalism, materials put into the project but it eventually collapsed maybe due to structural error does that mean the engineers or the firm has not been building houses before? Who'll do trial and error with a building contractor with a multi storey building?

Mistakes happens. Put up a worded apology and move on. You can never be right all of the time. You were a professional in the site...calling land sellers or what not as witnesses is immaterial.

Meanwhile I follow you cos I like your concept and packaging. Your building and thought processes are futuristic while leaving others with modern techniques.

He is a contractor.
If he is not wrong he must not make mistake of admiring to been wrong
Except he believes he is wrong.
If he admits to been wrong when innocent, they will use that to nail him forever.

When we were using NextHome dump truck, they told me it can’t deliver sand to my site.

I wasn’t surprised though. Lagos is a state filled with educated illiterates.

They said what I brought is even bigger than trailer so I have to pay double.
I really don’t mind so far I have what’s required to execute my job.

People come here with plans for scrutiny, boq and estimates for advice, etc. Maybe people have successfully built their house on this thread without paying a dime to any site manager, purely supervising their project from start to finish.
A lot of DIY projects equally got completed on here.

The thing surprises me a lot. The unrelenting attack on n3xt, 'codedly" and "uncodedly" surprises me a lot. People are even afraid to mention his name. He has never hidden his address, number or place of work. I believe that people that have genuine issues with him knows where to get him. Raising accusation without proof is not good. He has contributed a lot here and people will still vilify him. They say it is all packaging. My brother, you can never be a good marketer without packaging. I work as an independent consultant myself and I do packaging to win people over. if I don't have it, I fake it, as long as I deliver on my clients request.

Please, I don't know him as a person. So, I am not holding any brief for him. All my projects have been handled by nairalanders here without any issue. The only issue I had was with HSL Broker on my large windows, which he later delivered after some delays. I earlier wanted to vilify him but shelved the idea after listening to his submission - weather true or false was not my concern again. I was even accused here of trying to protect him. Whether he scammed people before or not, I wouldn't know.

Character assassination is bad and should be the last resort. I have someone here, a very popular aluminum guy that brought broken windows to me. I have been on his matter for the past seven months to replace them but he kept shifting the goal post. I wouldn't want to spoil his business but when it becomes extremely difficult, I may have to call him out with all facts. That's the way it should be. All accusations have to be proven.

As someone mentioned on Michliin, I remember the bullying he suffered here, but the guy was a determined fighter, with good sense of decorum, uncommon with people in his profession. He has since risen to become a poster child now in iron works here.
