EducationRe: My Experience Playing Virtual. How I Broke The Addiction by Greenarrow01(op): 10:46am On Jul 08, 2018
Iamgrey5:
it is very possible

I believe you need to walk into your department of faculty office and request for your transcript. A transcript is a list containing your academic record.

The transcript will give your university or any other universities you decide to complete your degree an idea of the subjects/courses you have completed and the ones you still need to complete.

You will require an institution to institution transfer if you are transferring to another university. Hence, you might not be able to access your transcripts yourself.

The procedure to secure a transcript in most state/federal universities are always stressful and tedious. So I suggest you start as soon as possible if you attended a state or federal university.
Thanks so much.. how long do you think this will take.. and i attended a state university.

I wanna resume next year. It will be 4 years after I left the university with no letter leave of absence or whatsoever

Nice story, Any form of Addiction is not good

I still don't know how people get addicted to gabbling tho, but then I am addicted to sugar and most people also find that silly

I think the major difference between you and guy on front page is the suffering and pain you went through after you made the mistake.

The guy on the front page will not heal as long as his parents are always there to provide support and love
whenever he screws up.

It is like giving money to a drug addict

He must learn to be a Man first

About your question, Please clarify your last statement.
Thanks
I wanna go back to school next year...
I still have a semester left.. is it possible?
I left about 2 years or so ago

Lessons.

Look for a girlfriend that is responsible..who will spend time with you and try to take it off your mind.. (bae was instrumental in helping me drip this habbit.. always nagging.. insulting and threatening me lol)

Leave where you are right now go somewhere far..where there is no virtual shops there... for example.. up north.. there are only few betshops ..due to strict sharia laws and stigma attached to it...

Pls find something to do.. you can volunteer in an organisation or look for a job that will always demand your presence.. something to keep you occupied.. just something.

Talk to the person you respect most it maybe your uncle..pastor or imam.  Just someone you 're afraid of and value their thoughts towards you.

Prayers doesn't change this habit guy.. just do something with your time.. something that won't give you the freedom of leaving for 20 minutes during the day

Give your most trusted person any money or fund that comes your way..(bae became in control of my finances then.. I couldn't spend a dime without her knowing.. the money was with her.. there was no way I could ask for money to bet.

Quick question guys..

Is it possible for me to finalize my education after 5years of leaving school i wanna go back to complete my last semester in two years time..
In advance countries.. you can come back after 10 years to complete it.. don't know about here..

I am about to start an online degree.. but it is really expensive and I am just sceptical.

Was with bae for two years and things got better thou..
With help from my crazy parents.. bae and  my will, I was able to get over it... after a long time...
But I dropped out of the university with just a semester remaining.. and lost really good friends..

Within less than two years of stopping virtual, things have gotten better.. my only regret is that I have lost time and I can't recoup it..

I now have a school in a small village up north where I teach (Hausa kids) pro bono (free) I also have 4 other staff members.. i now have an international partner/mentor who believes in me.. and we 're cooking up something. Not quite long.. I won a 1 million naira entrepreneurship competition...(I have once applied for this competition nd failed). I will be 24 soon and I am so grateful.

My project money too was spent on virtual.. I was living in a flat before then.. I spent my house rent on  virtual.. my school fees on virtual.. and lol i was a final year student..
The top of the matter  was when my very good friend gave me school fees to keep for him.. already spent baes school fees without her knowledge on virtual.. I used my friend school fees to pay baes school fees. Cause her exam was in two days time and she was already heating things up.. my friends exam was in two weeks I think then..

My friends were so mad... they called my parents and reported to everybody possible...
My school won't allow people to write exam then without  paying school fees..

My landlord was already impatient.. I think it was already getting to the seventh month of owning house rent.
One Sunday afternoon. Out of the blues.. policemen came from the state CID lol to whisk me away.. everybody was outside.. begging and pleading on my behalf.. I was this good street boy and everyone loved me.. so they couldn't bare to see me handcuffed... lol pls note ... I don't drink.. smoke or womanize... I go to church daily and I was just this damn good boy.. very respectful.. my saving grace was the fact that my aged neighbour..whom prior that.. I had always fetch at Least 5 buckets of water for everymorning for about two years..was a retired police officer..

I was told to sign an undertaking and my parents were briefed about the situation..

My parents borrowed to pay up.... i couldn't complete or even start my final year project nor write my exams and 4 months later, my landlord evicted me and I had to put up with bae.. in her hostel.

I was always hungry.. sometimes will go days without food... look I am not exaggerating, there was a time I spent 3 days with only 2 cups of garri and no sugar as food.. despite all this.. I will trek about 3 kilometres to visit my bet shop.. when I get there I will borrow 50 or so just to play virtual.

Good morning, folks
First of all, don't mind the English, be more concerned with the message I am trying to pass across.

Base on a front page topic this morning, I decided to share my experience and I hope one or two will learn from it.

My sincere apologies to my dad(a nairalander) bae and all my friends who are nairalanders and may see this

I was a good gentle man full of business ideas and a good dreamer before I met virtual.  I was (am) good with stuffs.. was a reader.. I know a lot of stuffs about history, about religion, about politics, about technology and whole lots of stuffs.  my mates could attest to the fact that I was super intelligent. And in vogue.   my mechanic dad nd trader mum had high hopes.. been the first to get admitted into a university in my extended family (paternal).
I made friends and the my future looked promising..
Got admission into the university 2012.

2015, I started gambling.. after I failed to convince my friends to allow us to be the first set of people to open a virtual shop in my city then.
I did something crazy then.. got a winning formula I discovered and used then, i didn't tell anyone while playing real games.. until 1960bet packed up.. so i forayed into virtual. Spent all my savings and pocket money on virtual..

.This is what we 're saying..
This politicians think it is their right to steal our commonwealth.
Pls nobody should say APC, or PDP here,.. they are all bunch of thieves.. and they have blinded us with jobs like social Media assistants, peanuts like boreholes and painting of primary schools..
In sane countries.. just for this headline alone thousands will march to the state house to demand his resignation.
But in my country.. people will march for 500naira to support this idiot.
This country's hope is damn slim.. the youths that should rescue this country are fighting for nairaland likes.. .. even the mod is struggling to push "chioma rocks new hairstyle to front page"
I don't even know what to type again..
A damn shithole country..

I was at pvc registration centre in a small village: Dutsen wai.
Dutsen wai is just this small village with no bank, hospital and just a single secondary school.
Population is about 20,000
It is located in kubau local govt. Of Kaduna state.
People here are fighting and doing everything possible to register for their pvc.
Both women and young boys came out in large number to get registered.
I was shocked because this is Ramadan period and I took this pictures exactly 12 noon under the scorching sun. For an exercise that will take place daily this people don't even care.

Most nairalanders shouting back to Daura don't even know where to get a pvc.

BUHARI is banking on these people to win another term.

Pls no one should come with Atiku will divide northern votes. That is a huge lie. After prophet Mohamed. BUHARI is the next for most northerners.
Atiku can not even win Adamawa.
Lol even Sen Makarfi cannot win markarfi.
You should all face reality on ground especially my igbo brothers. Allow BUHARI to another complete another enure. So the east can have a shot at presidency come 2023. Should Atiku win.. then you guys will wait till 2027.
That was what made Jonathan to lose 2015. The Hausas wanna complete 8years.

Pls I am not advocating for pmb or am I on his payroll
Just stating the obvious.

Abeg no insults and don't mind the english

if u intend making the school a "government approved school", ur headmaster or principal must be an education degree holder.
I know about that regulation.
But I have seen schools with head teachers who are just nce. Holders.
