missbond007: Nnanna Okoye is the CEO of skincare brand, Youtopia. As expected, a party was thrown in her honour and she came out decked in this expensive dress. The David Koma dress which has cutout, mesh panels is worth almost N1,000,000.
Rokiatu45: No man is asking three weeks after his woman gives birth for se.x
When I was doing a posting in the O&G dept of a hospital I did my housemanship, a man whose wife had delivered 4 days earlier asked when we wer discharging his wife because konji was disturbing him.
ModestGal: She has no explanation than to tell me im stingy and i should get a good phone
You don’t owe anyone any explanation. It’s your life, your money, your decisions. Do what makes you happy. Buy the phone you want to buy.
I live my life the way I want to. When I buy an item, I buy it because it’s what I want, not because of what people will think. I’m on my 3rd iPhone. I have my personal reasons for using them. They are easy to use and the software and interconnectivity with my iPad and MacBook is seamless. I often hide the Apple logo because I don’t even want people to know I’m using one. I do realize that not everyone likes iPhones or the Apple brand entirely, and that is ok. I’ve used Android phones before, and I disliked every moment I used them.
I once read the biography of a young American tech Billionaire who could afford literally anything in this life but preferred riding his cheap bicycle as his primary transportation within the city and traveling economy class whenever he needed to take a flight. He wasn’t a miser, in fact he constantly gave his money away to charities. He just enjoyed living life simply.
Not long ago Sadio Mane (former Liverpool football Legend) was photographed with a cheap old mobile phone that was being held together with rubber bands.
The bottom line is you don’t need to explain yourself to anyone. Within the limits of the law and your conscience, live your life as you wish.
buygala: Advice your uncle to keep a low profile and avoid cruising around in any of those mentioned cars, or any very expensive vehicle at that, unless he has multiple armed security personnel who can guard him 24/7..Even at that sef, his security isn't still guaranteed...Many VIPs have been killed or abducted in Nigeria despite having armed security with them.
Too many criminal elements abound in the country now, looking to make a fast buck by kidnapping or/and robbery...no need drawing unnecessary attention to oneself by going around in these flashy vehicles....
In fact I won't be shocked if some of these criminal elements are on this forum shopping around for lucrative targets to rob or kidnap.
Yes, I know that in 1st world countries, the vehicles you mentioned are not really ostentatious vehicles.. But in Nigeria where area boys fit begin reason your matter just because you buy Toks 2010 Highlander, advice your uncle to pipe low and enjoy his life quietly.
You spoke my mind I swear I will never buy a 2022 benz G63 or 2022 Lexus LX600 because of the insecurity in this country even if I had $10bn in my account.
Abeg, even though 60yrs is a milestone age, advise your Wealthy Uncle against buying any of these cars.
Rekhina: Allah is great ,Yarbawa sun zabi Buhari ya ruguza arewa, ba a bukatar mambobin jam'iyyar APC a arewa. I heard they are killing APC supporters in the north , someone shud verify kwuma.
Benz Are Taxis In Germany - Portable Mocks Nigerians Bragging With Benz (Photo, Video)
Popular Nigerian singer, Portable, has mocked Nigerians who brag about owning Mercedes Benz car in Nigeria, IGBERETV reports.
The Zazu Zeh crooner who travelled to Germany, said the luxury car which many Nigerians take as a symbol of class and status status, is used as taxi in Germany.
He shared a video of himself saying this in Düsseldorf, Germany. He captioned the video on his Instagram handle;
I think the amount allocated to Lagos is wrong. Dangote has been doing a lot of business and paying so much tax to Lagos government, the money should be deducted and given to Kano before hunger finish hi brothers up north
A whole Kano, with over 10 million people in population is doing only 40 billion with Edo sitting on top of Kano, looking over its head
Bini no dey carry last abeg
South west #972 billion North West #174 billion Only? Haba, upon all the landmass, and small South west is still beating them silly?
Lagos should just buy over Yobe state
Proudly Lagosian
I served in Kano in 2011/2012. The biggest challenge to generating IGR in Kano is that Kanoman no dey gree pay tax
RingRoadMafia: Lagos state has been on total lockdown since morning! Igbos, yorubas, hausas, everyone is here!! Obi should just go and prepare his victory speech. It is finished! And to think that this is not even an official rally
Agbadorians should watch this video on twitter under the watchful eyes of a loved one, because hypertension is real forget these fake scanty videos Nairaland is showing you, look at the current situation of things on this twitter video below. We called for 4 million man March, Lagos turn am to Exodus
Don't say I didn't warn you Chai! Lagosians are too wicked!!!
We Nigerians desire peace and prosperity all of which are impossible without good governance. Enough is enough abeg. Peter Obi represents the hope for a better tomorrow.
MikeofAfrica: The issue is that many poor people play lotto with procreation. I once met a poor man with 7 kids ( 5 boys, 2 girls) and he confided in me that he is confident that at least one of his five sons will be successful in life even if he did not send them to school. Hence for a poor man with such mentality, the more kids that he have, the more his chance of producing the next Dangote. It is really pathetic but poverty has made many people to reason like animals.
MufasaLion: They should focus on having a better apartment instead of breeding like rodents in a studio apartment.
Exactly. The fertility rate among poor people is alarming. No money to afford the basic necessities of life but they will just be knacking themselves continuously and churning out children. Then their children can’t go to good schools, end up with menial jobs, some get pregnant or get girls pregnant, some go into criminal activities/ prostitution and the poverty cycle continues to the next generation.
For every decision we make, the pros and cons have to be considered. Truthfully, if I do relocate out of Nigeria, the main reasons will be the horrible state of insecurity and little hope for the general improvement of the quality of life in Nigeria. God help us all.
jedisco: Lol... In life, there is no easy way out. There's no medal given for being in one country or another. Many of the achievers we know are those who left their comfort zone to improve themselves, conquer other worlds and return. I'm sure you have remained where your ancestors originated.
Man has always been a migratory being and even within a nation, people migrate for different reasons. You could ask our leaders why they send their kids abroad to study and return to pick up the juicy jobs.
The fact that you loiter around the travel section shows you're interested in travel. Quite an irony.
