airprince: Evening everyone, I’m a young guy of about 22 and i graduated in 2021 from Delsu, after which I traveled to Cape Town last year and got a 3 years residency permit but I’m currently in Nigeria because the rent was too high and I wasn’t doing anything other than staying at home daily and money wasn’t coming in anymore like it used to so I went back to Nigeria.
Now I’m trying to figure out if it’s best I travel to Canada to further my studies basically work and study or stay back home here in Nigeria and start an extensive agricultural project; livestock’s & poultry(I’ve lands for that already)
Guys pls help me out I’m just so confused I just sit at home everyday doing nothing while I’m waiting for this Nysc letter it’s so boring.
Wait…wait… Are you seriously asking us for advice?
Nahunger: When are you coming back to Nigeria 🤠 So you can enjoy with us Everything is free here, in fact we barely go out to work, there are free restaurants for daily 3 square meals, there is even a free spar, gym and free money shared here on daily basis. You will love it here please come home 🥰
Dimaya: In a controversial discussion, a young lady named Bamisaye says after getting married to her boyfriend, she won't get pregnant until he earns above 200K.
How practical is this in Nigeria considering the fact that most people today earn less than 100K?
whizqueen: You might have been asking yourself if moving to Canada is still worth it and I’m happy to tell you that it is! I recently became a Canadian citizen just in 3 years of moving. Let me tell you all about it.
I left Nigeria in September 2019 to Canada as a Permanent resident all by myself! I was literally just 23 and I remember being filled with so much anxiety and fear for the unknown. Thankfully I’ve been able to navigate life as an immigrant in Canada. I’d say it took about 2 years for me to fully settle in and get a hang of my new life. Things got better with time and I’ve been able to build a strong community around me.
I migrated to Canada as a PR so my pathway to becoming a citizen was much more straightforward. You’re required to reside in Canada as a PR holder for at least 3 years/1,095 days before you become eligible to apply for citizenship. I became eligible in September 2022 and I submitted my application online. I was invited for the citizenship test March 2023 and approved for citizenship ceremony May 2023. My total application timeline is about 7 months from my Acknowledgment of receipt (AOR) date. Life in Canada is definitely not easy! There would be times you wish you never left home but eventually, you would be glad you did.
One of the toughest challenges new immigrants in Canada face is finding jobs in their desired profession. Job search is definitely hard I must say but some tips that has helped so far include upskilling, pivoting to a different career and networking.
The level of professionalism in workspace abroad is very high and a lot of Nigerians do struggle with this. You must work on your soft skills and people skills to navigate your career abroad.
If you move to Canada as a student, your journey would be much longer, expensive and stressful. Consider immigration programs that allow you to move as a PR holder like FSW or PNP. The study route should be your last option.
I encourage you to watch my full vlog on YouTube this video covers more details like my story so far, in-person citizenship ceremony, application process, timeline, and cost.
Now that I have received my blue passport, do you think I would be returning back to Naija or moving to the US? Share your thoughts in the comments.
Do you think cheating is only when you insert your prick into an outsiders’ hole?
But flirting and all is cool because you're a man? You are married and there's two of you there. Respect each other and that particular institution! From the way you sound sef, you're on your way to voracious cheating!
OP is very immature. I don’t think he was mentally ready for marriage
Medianna: They have successfully credited back again.. Next time they won't see shishi to reserve. What kind of confusion is this!
You were first paid double salary, debited the extra salary and then credited back again? This is real confusion. IPPIS should not try try this with my salary oh….
heykims: Well I have received salary on weekends in the past. As a mater of fact, this June salary en was paid yesterday, the Sallah day itself. I work in a Federal Medical Center.
OkwuMajesty: My regret: being too anxious and not assertive enough, I regret not coming out sooner. Wasted years worrying about it, worrying about pretty much everything. All the time, being too afraid to live.
I used to think my family can't survive without me, so I wasted enough time trying to be almost everything possible for them, but I was totally wrong.
Radiant01: Nonsense talk ,when Buhari was president,is from north, tanko the CJN from the north, lawan senate president also from north.... Did you complain that was unfair to south... Indeed our politicians use religion and tribe to divide us
Don’t mind them. It’s now that the idiots know that there is such a thing as federal character.
How many times we go talk am say them nor dey give award for banging..you know the funny truth that we men don't want to accept is that the male body was not programmed to defeat a woman during sex..women have upper hand and are stronger than male during sex
The elasticity of that place alone suppose dey put fear for our body not to talk of how deep it is..na there baby head dey pass steadily despite the fact say baby head big My grandfather dey always warn me say son....always use your sense when you on top of a woman..if you remove your fertile rod from her body and she hurriedly put it back with her own hands then just know you are about to die
fyzaila: Wait after 10k/month for electricity supply, you still have to spend 50k/month ontop fuel for generator? Is the power supply that bad over there? If your office is in your house then where and where are you going that you have to spend a whole 180k for car fuel? And those repair/maintenance and clothing fee you allocated is not necessary. Just busy spending people's monthly salary on this your budget.
Kingsley123456: I will go straight to the point..... I've not dated a faithful lady since I started dating and I've dated up to 6 different ladies aside from Shop and clean mouth).
My girlfriend which I thought I will at least manage to settle down with was cooking for me 2days ago and I took her phone went straight to WhatsApp and telegram to see chats. One was wooing her and she's responding normally, no iota of restrain in the chats and another was inviting her over and she said, sure, she will come.
I dropped the phone immediately , I was still thinking of where to start with her when I received a call from work and I had to leave, I message her while I was at work and asked her while she's doing all these to me, as usual she claimed they are platonic friends and nothing more.
I blocked her immediately she mention there is nothing wrong in visiting Platonic friends in open places and even at home....
This is isn't the type of woman i want.
That wasn't her first time but she always accuse me of not wanting her to have good male friends.
I'm tired of things like these, I will be 35 by September.
Initially I thought I'm getting older and I should settle down, but, will I ever meet a Woman of my choice?? Someone I can at least trust?? someone who won't be going round visiting Platonic friends, ano wan loseguard, I need a woman in my life but I think I'm giving up......
I don't want to die young... Lastly Nairalanders
Do I have to look for another relationship again or Take her back and give her last chance?? Or, concentrate on money making for another 5yr? And forget about getting married, Pls advice.
