PoliticsRe: Marketers Eye ₦‎700/litre Diesel After Dangote Price Cut by groovie(m): 7:53am On Apr 22, 2024
On top crude oil wey Dangote dey import?? We do know that Nigeria has become a crude oil importing nation now right? So he should import crude oil and reduce to #700??

Nigerians like putting pressure in the wrong places. Put pressure on NNPCL and the minister of petroleum to make crude oil available for Dangote. Then we'll see if he won't reduce price.

If you know what it means to miss an appointment due to such issues no one would be saying "what of other airlines". Airpeace had better work on the stories of incessant delays. It is not a good thing to be associated with.

where do you people get your informationhuh At newspaper stands or what. A citizen of any country can relocate where ever he wants and cant lose his citizenship na except its North Korea. I came to Canada 3 years ago as a PR. And will become a citizen this month. So all the Nigerian celebrities and people that gave birth in USA have their kids living in Nigeria lost their citizenshiphuh Like can you guy stop all these falsehoods.

As a citizen of a first world country you have more job prospects abroad than someone from a 3rd world country. There are people who were born in Canada that live and work in asian countries and latin America. Dem get too head?
Hi ednut1.

You seem pretty knowledgeable about migration, you're well travelled.

If you don't mind i would like to have a chat with you so that i can make an informed decision. That's if you don't mind. I can drop you a mail or something
PoliticsRe: Nigeria’s Electricity Deficit, World’s Largest -UK Envoy by groovie(m): 9:45am On Oct 27, 2023
tunjilana:
This is the problem with the trader's line of thought. it is like the guy who controls 5 shops in Alaba versus the one who is sitting on the board of a conglomerate, they cant think same way, one is tactical, the other is strategic

Electricity generation is never efficiently done by individuals, it is always at a high cost and environmentally unfriendly ways, even when green technology is used, it will still be at the expense of ambience and ease-of-deployment.

Every sane country focuses on bulk generation (either by private or public enterprises ) while distributing to households.

SMEs wont thrive the way they should, if they have to focus on generating their own power, cos they will be frontloading a cost they are meant to pay gradually. While heavy manufacturers will even have to spend more, thus increasing their cost of production and ultimately cost of goods/services provided by them.

With upfront investments by government/private corporations towards boosting bulk generation, and efficient transmission to SMEs, plus stability and reliability, more SMEs will spring up and existing ones will thrive, while the investing entities recoup their funds and mak profit over time

But it is difficult to see this when wearing a trader-lens and believing society runs on individuals solving their problems and trying to be a master-of-your shop without thinking holistically about how society should function
Good analysis. The NPP project and most recently the Siemens power project that has failed, could you kindly tell the main issues that put this projects on hold that would greatly improved power supply in Nigeria
PoliticsRe: Nigeria’s Electricity Deficit, World’s Largest -UK Envoy by groovie(m): 9:28am On Oct 27, 2023
MrVitalis is correct with his analysis. Until Nigeria graduates from a vicious economy to a virtuous economy we will keep hearing the same stories. Whatever happened to the Siemens power arrangement? Any serious company can get Nigeria powered in 1 to 2 years at least but the buying power of Nigerians have been frittered away through different means

If that’s the only code you got then go ahead to change just the one sensor under your vehicle near the catalyst, drive for a few kilometers/miles and check if the malfunction light comes on again. If it does, then you’d need another scan.
Thanks alot

That code is for your secondary heated oxygen sensor. The one under your car near your catalyst. It’s due for a change
Thanks. Do i have to do any more scanning or just go straight to changing both sensors?

PoliticsRe: FG Makes Fresh Offer, ASUU Insists On UTAS by groovie(m): 10:26am On Sep 30, 2022
kafeii123:
May your gbola remain glorious.... ASUU isn't a union of market pepper sellers.... if the solution they provided was as flimsy and wishy-washy as you claimed.... your FG's agents would have wasted no time in exposing it for the nonesense it would have been.... the current IPPIS has been adjudged to be worse in all of these metrics that you listed and many more ....evn by the Government itself...so this excuse falls flat....

one is the fact that it was FG that mandated ASUU to come up with a better alternative to IPPIS which was done..... second is the fact that it is as far as the constitution is concerned, University payroll and staff management is not the responsibility of the Accountant general's office... it is constitutionally vested on the University governing councils... if you want to change that arrangement. you need to first go to the national assembly to change the edict that supports ASUU's stance. This FG has not done so.... and unless we want to continue supporting impunity... we should not have even allowed this stand in the first place..

The issues that they gave as justification as to why they need to bring up IPPIS have been shown to be worsened now that IPPIS has been deployed. with ippis....university vice chancellors dont know all their staff....they only judge by those they see on ground.... IPPIS staff have been shown to insert the details of their friends sand cronies in the payrolls of government institutions. those folks collect salaries...sometines as professors and c...then share the salary in rations with the ippis staff that ran the racket.... this evidences are already in the public domain..... what would eventually happen will be that 5-01 years down the line.... some mischievous folks will just come out with evidences and claim that thousands or millions of ghost workers were discovered in the university system.... people like you will still be the ones to drag ASUU's name in the mud for it.

You can deploy both platforms alongside within the same time period ... then hack both as you have suggested and see which ones works better than the other.... the already known weak one that fg pays agents almost 15k per staff to run currently ..or the developed one which saves money and can still be run /handled by the staff members currently deployed to run university payrolls in the accountant generals' office...

We all know what this is about.... Soft Alliance is the company running ippis database in lagos...and abuja and is owned majorly by tinubu who himself settles the necessary key government men and politicians. Nobody is even saying to take it away from him....just protect the education sector from the personnel rot that has bastardized the other sectors..simple

last is the fact that ASUU's real bone of contention go far beyond ippis... let FG treat these others...lets see if ASUU will not shift ground...not this shifty attitudes they're playing. It's not their faults.... the average nigerian doesnt deserve good education.
You're smart. Very rare in this forum

Unfortunately, I agree with you albeit to an extent. I got mine in 2012. As a techie, I don't have too much worries about what the government can do with our data. Buhari is too predictable and his won't go beyond trace and arrest. The present government is a congregation of walking relics with no tiny understanding of how the new media and technology works. It doesn't bother me.
It's not Buhari that will sell the data. It's the cronies that he has appointed by nepotism that know exactly how to use every apparatus in the government to extract gains while he looks the other way

Guys calm down... That stuff isn't less than 150k.
What you should be more particular about is that the leaders DO NOT WANT TO PUT MONEY TO GOOD USE AND UTILIZE IT EFFICIENTLY.
They do not want to drive innovation
They do not want to support a good business environment.
They do not want to support startups and budding SMEs.
Cos they know once they do they are giving the key back to the people

Put it however you like. Desmond Elliot made absolutely no sense in his speech. His speech didn't even address the crux of the matter at hand.

Next time he should learn to articulate his words without "emotions" so that he doesn't cause more problems than he is trying to solve.

I also followed his interview on arise tv... Nothing still made sense.
