I've read it.

- "The Yoruba people are irrevocably commited to a fundamental structuring".
OK... why? I say economic hardship

- "inaliable right to self-determination guaranteed by the United Nations Charter".
No country is obligated to recognize anything, unless it serves their own interest. Leave charter alone.

- "cannot be carried out under the present National Assembly... does not recognize the will of We the People".

Fine. You are welcome to challenge the sovereign with violence (which is its right to resort to, as mandated by its Constitution). Good luck. History has shown that the UN (I really mean the Security Council) only recognizes the side with superior firepower, and many millions are displaced/killed/starved while UN countries make money selling arms, planes, and relief supplies.

I've no problem with restructuring, and I will gladly apply for visa if Oduduwa Republic becomes a strong, prosperous, sovereign nation.
I'm not sure I read it anywhere in the post where violence was mentioned. There you go again being dishonest.
If Yoruba no longer wish to be part of the federation which is not what the advert is saying then I challenge you to come and stop them with your "superior firepower"

OK, I must be mistaken (and I'm not trying to be cheeky).

Please quote the article and make plain its main thrust. If people were gainfully employed with good jobs, schools, hospitals, etc. do you think this advert would make any sense? Intellectuals just get together and demand restructuring because everything is going well? Consider the following:

"Everyone is eating well and is healthy, so let's restructure for some other undisclosed reason" <- this one doesn't make much sense.

"Everyone is suffering, there are no jobs, so let's restructure" <- this one makes more sense, which leads me to my conclusion.

Instead of just stating that unemployment is not the main thrust, please put forward a plausible reason for the advert. I've given you my plausible reasons for my conclusion.
Basically the constitution we are operating is not a federal constitution. Nigeria became an independent country and got a carefully negotiated constitution agreed to by all the federating units.
What we have now is not working for anyone, except maybe a few who now have some advantages as a result of the skewed constitution.
States for example should not be going to Abuja every cap in hand like beggers.
There are several other issues affecting states which Abuja should have no business dealing with.

Coneheads were the mumu errand pigeons for mallams (as typical slaves)in the war against the crusader,Nnamdi Kanu. They were the empty barrels and high sounding drums, shouting anti Kanu bla bla bla.. They were foaming in the mouth and dared Kanu to enter Lagos. Operation python dance became more popular than the birthday, life and times of their great Otapiapia hero grin

Now they wan port to their amala kwantiri of coneheads where they will be free to pick pocket and harvest their heads for rituals, whosaai grin grin

Where is Nnamdi Kanu? What happened to Biafra or death? I bet Kanu eventually chose death and killed himself.

What Im trying to say is that Igbos once left Nigeria. This is a feat that the Yoruba nation can only talk about but can never ever attempt. There are somethings that are beyond the capabilities of Yorubas and one of them is secession.

The Yoruba man is not made of the stuff needed to be a secessionist.

That is why most Igbos will laugh at any talk by Yorubas to leave Nigeria, it will only end in talk, same as YOLICOM.
Yoruba man not made for the stuff needed to be a secessionist? I'm I supposed to be debating this nonsense with you? Is there anyone specially made to be a secessionist?

I guess it took ibos 3 million dead and 52 years in political wilderness to wake up.
Even when the call for restructuring started ibos were noticeably mute.

Are we reading the same advert? Those are clearly economic/employment concerns.
The guy you replied is just being dishonest. How can you read the post and conclude the thrust of the advert is unemployment!

Yorubas dont have what it takes to leave Nigeria, they are not Igbos.

The North will reject restructuring and Yorubas will go back to chanting 'one Nigeria'
They are not ibos, are ibos now independent? Have they gotten a tiny little concession from Nigeria ever since they started yelling and bragging about some imaginary largest army in Africa?

You must hardly use your thinking faculty if you think it isn't joblessness that would push grown men to advertising restructuring instead of approaching their representatives to push such an agenda or do they think their advert will scared the populace into submission? Gerrarahere if you are not interested in reasoning.
Scare? You believe this is an attempt to scare anyone? No wonder Kanu and his ipob morons failed miserably.

By "common destiny" I'm guessing you are referring to the common attributes of laziness, street begging, illiteracy, religious violence and intolerance, corrupt Babanriga wearing kleptomaniacs.

I agree with you. It's hard to say which of the two between Yorubas and Hausa excels in backwardness.

Yorubas should be made a case study in proof of the theory that education will not stop a people from embracing ignorance, if ignorance happens to be their natural genetic inclination. How else can one make sense of the mindless support Dullar-dinho still enjoys amongst the supposedly educated Yorubas, inspite of all the crimes against humanity that have happened on his watch.
Natural genetic inclination! Perhaps acting first and thinking next is your own genetic inclination. Didn't ibos support a clueless Jonathan? Is there not a PDP controlled Yorubas state? Compressed and flattened brain does make for proper thinking.

Foreign AffairsSouth Africa, Ghana Summon US Diplomats After Trump Remark by Guestlander(op): 4:20pm On Jan 15, 2018
Washington (CNN)A growing number of nations are summoning US diplomats in the wake of President Donald Trump's "shithole" remark.

Top US diplomats in South Africa and Ghana were called on to meet with those governments, Undersecretary of State Steven Goldstein told CNN. Haiti, Botswana and Senegal have also summoned diplomats over the matter, and more diplomats are expected to be called this week, Goldstein said.
The summons add to the fallout over Trump's comments last week in which he referred to African nations as "shithole countries" during an Oval Office discussion about immigration. On Friday, he denied using that language and specifically denied making derogatory comments about Haiti, and went so far as to flatly say over the weekend that he is "not a racist."

South Africa's government announced a formal protest of the remarks on Sunday, acknowledging Trump's denial that the exact language was used but "noted further that President Trump's denial was not categorical, referring only to Haiti and not addressing the entirety of the statement attributed to him."
State Department officials said diplomats have been advised not to try to interpret or soften the President's remarks. Rather, they are encouraged to listen and acknowledge the countries' concerns. They were also instructed to emphasize areas of shared cooperation.
"The President has the right to make whatever remarks he wants and we respect the President," Goldstein said. But diplomats have been instructed to "reaffirm that the US remains committed to its relationships with these countries and cares deeply about their people," he added.
"They will have to work extra hard to send that message right now, but that's part of their responsibility. It doesn't change what they do," Goldstein said.
CNN's David McKenzie contributed to this report.

Pls tell me you are joking
Is this supposed to be a solution?

ok. The farmers spray the chemicals and all the cows dies. do you think that will stop the killings? Is killing another persons animal not a crime in itself. Do you think you can stop a crime by commiting another?

More importantly, to show you your suggestion is one of the most ridiculous ideas, what will you do when the herdsmen attacks the community for killing their cows? Will you spray chemicals for their guns also embarassed Or you think they will just take it as a act of God that lots of cows just dies after grazing on a particular community?

This is why this country is in this situation. We lack deep thinking. We feared this will happen because we suspected PDP does not have the right intellectual capacity to be a good opposition and put APC on their toes.

What we should do is continue to mount pressure on the government and do its constitutional role of protecting lives and properties. Get justice done. Arrest the killers on both sides. Seize the killers' cows and farms and hand over to ministry of agric or something or put an army barrack there - just build a barrier like ranching as has been suggested.

Killing the cows is stup!d and counter productive.
This bloodletting must stop.
Are you suggesting farms should be seized? The herdsmen are the aggressors in all of this and it is a pity the government is not doing anything to protect the farmers.
My take on this is simple, if the government will not protect you, then you have a God given right to protect yourself and your family by all means necessary.
The idea that you can toil daily in the African sun, plant your crops and then have some cows to feed on it is unbelievably unjust.
