giftq: Do whatever you want with Yoruba language. While Igbos do whatever they like with Igbo language. Exactly! This is how it should be, no one is telling Ibos they cannot teach or speak their language. Why in the name of ipob are they doing that? |
Politics › Re: Sardauna's View Of Igbo: right or wrong? by Guestlander: 4:22pm On Dec 30, 2017 |
giftq: But Igbos need to speak Igbo in Lagos na, dont you agree? Ibos can speak their language anywhere they choose to speak it, that is perfectly alright but they have zero right to tell Yoruba not to teach or speak Yoruba in Yorubaland. This type of thinking is what Ahmadu Bello was alluding to. |

Alariiwo: Very Very Very right.. Infact super accurate.
They came to SW as labourers trying to survive. Now they want to rule over their benefactors. They foolishly call Lagos no man's land as if the traditional ruler is Eze or igwe. Despicable lots. Ibos by themselves reinforce this perception of them. If for example you are eze Ndigbo of Akure and you try to carve out your own fiefdom within the domain of the Deji of Akure some people going to be very very offended. If you call Lagos a no man''s land people are bound to be offended. If you think Yoruba should not be taught and spoken in Yorubaland you will raise eyebrows. Etc, etc. |

LionDeLeo: As in to have become the president following the demise of yaradua?
Honestly, that would have been one of the best legacy obj would have bequeathed, but instead, he supported that shoeless drunkard from otueke who just exchanged the country for one old cvnt of a frog eyed thief.
NOI being the president in that circumstance would have been an invaluable blessing to this country honestly. That is what I thought would have happened. Perhaps she wasn't interested as well. I thought she could have contested on her own after Yar' Adua. No one knew Yar' Adua wouldn't complete his term. |

hypertension: Yeah, you are right..but its difficult to blame PDP now..they are not in power.
If things are bad, blaming PDP 3 years later does not add up.
If we all blame PDP, and then, APC continues with this kind of bad leadership...THAT MEANS, NO HOPE IN SIGHT. It is far easier to ruin things than to build them. I will give you an example; when Obama came into office, the American economy was in a free fall, people were losing their homes, big companies and big financial institutions were on the verge of bankruptcy. Obama then decided to bailout these companies and also put policies in place to help home owners and jump start the economy. These were not easy decisions to make, the people who caused the problems in the first place, the (Republicans) started calling him a communist and refused to support him. Some even said openly that they wanted him to fail. Buhari also met an economy in a free fall but unlike the USA, the government is too broke to bail out itself not to mention anyone else. It will take longer to fix Nigeria than it took to ruin it. The PDP is just trying to deceive Nigerians and then pretend they have no hands in what is going on right now. If they get back to power they will only continue where they left. |

Everything is not politics..Sometimes use your head.
There are areas buhari tried, but generally, and to be frank, i never expected buhari to be this poor.
In fact, people are losing jobs. Personally, for december, the hospital i work only paid a percentage of the salary.
Dont act this way until things are better, because if things improve, you and I will surely rejoice. You have to be honest as well to admit that the PDP is wallowing in hypocrisy. |

This has gotta be the stupidest thing I've ever heard officially coming from an opositon party.
Sounds more like a friendly jab from drunk a party pooper. They are not stupid. They just know the people they are trying to reach have a very very short memory span. We still remember the Ebola case and the actions of the Lagos APC government compared with the PDP led federal government. |

@wekky23: “On the continuous silence of Prof wole Soyinka, Pastor Tunde Bakare and co ,my conclusion is that they are cowards, that lack the courage and determination to admit their mistakes of misleading many Nigerians astray."[b] Best responses so far.Meanwhile Soyinka's cowardice is the main reason. He isn't wishing the boy evil. He's simply saying those praying for the boy turned deaf ears when agatu, shite Muslims and others were murdered by herdsmen and Nigerian military.
You need a quick mental evaluation before your baseless anger turns you to a permanent psychotic What a load of horse crap. He isn't wishing the boy well at all. What you wish on others will surely befall you. It is as simple as that. Baseless anger towards whom? You mor.on. How old are you by way? What protests have you led in support of the Agatu and other victims of violence accross the country, which obviously did not start with Buhari? I'm sure you have done nothing but you cowardly cradle your cell phone waiting for something bad to happen to Buhari's son as if that will be enough compensation for everything wrong with the country. You need to get off your stu.pid arse and do something about what you don't like about your country. Wishing someone dead is not going to change your life one bit. |
