In present day Nigeria, that is a NO and i will stand by it. Were the exams taken online?
Education › Re: How Did Jamb Manage To Release Results In 3 Days by gulfer: 9:00am On Apr 05, 2012
I think the logistics involved in getting all the scripts to a central place will take more than a day, sorting will take 2 days and marking may take less than a day. Sorting the results, filtering into states etc will take another day, all this is if they are working round the clock. This must a trial at impressing Nigerians and i am not convinced a thorough job of the marking was done, therefore the results are contestable.

gulfer: Wife of the governor of Akwa Ibom State, Mrs Ekaette Unoma Akpabio, has again identified honesty and commitment to duty as a panacea for success.

Mrs Akpabio made this known while redeeming the pledge of N2 million to Mrs Elizabeth Akande, a staff of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) who had earlier been honoured by the Sun newspaper for rejecting a graft.

Mrs Akande, was honoured for rejecting a bribe of N500,000 to aid the rigging of election in Oyo State during the 2011 general election, even in the face of intimidation.

Mrs Akpabio, who was called to present the award to Mrs Akande by the organisers, had announced a donation of N2 million to Mrs Akande, saying she was touched by her rare honesty.

Presenting the cash gift to the awardee on Sunday at the Sun’s head office in Lagos, Mrs Akpabio, represented by the state Commissioner for Information, Mr Aniekan Umanah, said her efforts through campaigns had been targeted at re-orientating people against corruption and other vices that were rocking the fabrics of the nation.

Mrs Akpabio said her pet programme, the Family Life Enhancement Initiative, has been used to provide houses for widows, empowerment schemes for youths and the elderly, as well as remand homes for the destitute and orphans in the state.http://tribune.com.ng/index.php/news/38723-akpabios-wife-donates-n2m-to-incorruptible-officer
She should be made to identitify the person or persons and whose party offered the bribe. We are in a sane world for Christ's sake!

The problem is not their death in Nigeria but the bungled rescue operation for the two men. If I was the poster in the same situation, I'd explain and state that it was the British and Nigerian security teams that killed the two hapless hostages.

I wonder why there has been very few contributions to this unlike some very trivial topics on this site. We need to sensitize people to this ills especially the very illiterate who indulge in over the counter medication. I am not saying genuine drugs cannot trigger this but the prevalence is more with substandard drugs and while it is a rare medical condition in advance countries this days, it is increasing in number in Nigeria especially; ask doctors in the general hospital. Post my cousin's demise, i Googled it that if condition is detected early, immediately stop the allergic drug, and use the common aloe Vera on the skin, also drink some of it to heal the internal imbalances from the drugs.

muyoto: Stevens johnson's syndrome isn't necessarily caused by fake/substandard medicines, it occurs when the mucous membranes react to the medicine--even the genuine one.
My cousin died due to the fake (substandard) artesunate that his system reacted to, which set off the Stevens Johnson's syndrome. Most doctors in Nigeria are unaware of this and initial treatment given to my cousin at the Gbagada general hospital was treatment for burns without proper diagnosis. Steven Johnson's diagnosis came shortly before he died from a young doctor at LASUTH; and he said if it had been quickly diagnosed at the Gbagada hospital, he might have survived.
