Happy birthday to NL and Seun. Keep this legacy, don't change the site totally but only modify. Happy Bday. |
Demdem:Can someone's head be shaven behind his back, do you know what they call having stake/interest in something? However you look at it, the Britons should have consulted the Italians as it was not only their national that was kidnapped. indirectly or directly and with the ill-advise and security reports that okayed the strike, the British have contributed in the deaths recorded. |
Funny thread but a sad reflection of Nigeria's past, present and future. Even pastors that are supposed to be the most pious/spartan are now traveling with retinue of aid; some don't even carry their bible on their own again. |
Cameron is not Obama, neither is the Britain anything near America. Trying to spring an Obama surprise failed woefully. this has only bought him fury from the Italians and recriminations will come even from his own parliament. |
Whatever it is (falsehood or Truth). I tell you we are stewed, smoked and fried in this country. |
These are not names, state name and where it is made. |

They should get their money invested back if they do go ahead but my one question is, 'why did OBJ remove the old toll gates? If NL guys remember, the road went totally bad after that because the trailers were no longer being controlled. Case in point is near the Abeokuta link-bridge, the section shows obvious tyre pressure form heavy machines; this road was not designed for such. If i get OBJ's quote on why the old tolls were being removed, i'll paste it here but bottom line is we have hypocrites as leaders and this is very sad. If the SA banks invest in the road, certainly the toll must come back to ensure maintenance but why should a supposed African leader make something (road) bad in order to repair the same thing? |
I am not sure if NTA can bring back Andrew (Enebeli Elebuwa)'s advert in the 80s. Things staretd getting bad a long time back, not surprised madmen are also tired of the rot. |
@Ikenna351, this is a spam email and i am sure generated by a spam-bot. How is it possible to have this same email on all sections of NL (44) at about the same time? Mods should delete this spam. |

jeak123:Cashless policy to the rescue, when it will be possible to monitor who spends what. I doubt if they will ever allow this to come to fruition. Why should they carry so much cash, haven't they heard of promisory notes? |

The red card Sanni Kaita bagged at the last World Cup in South Africa was as a result of tactical ineptitude by Eagles’ coaches, as it could have been avoided if the coaches were in tune with modern day coaching. Former Super Eagles’ coach, Chief Adegboye Onigbinde, made this assertion at the weekend in Lagos. Onigbinde said that instead of condemning Kaita for the red card offence, he should be celebrated because he did what any player that lacked tutorials from his coaches should have done. He was, therefore, of the opinion that Nigerians should tender apology to Kaita, while the football federation should pay him for the trauma he had passed through over the incident. “I was disappointed to here that Kaita was a villain instead of being celebrated as a hero. If Nigerians could recollect the scenario that brought about the red card Kaita picked at the World Cup in 2010, they would recollect that Kaita was moving with the ball, but he was disposed by an opponent and when he watched his back and saw that there was no player covering him, he chased the player and hacked him down,” Onigbinde recollected. “The coaches were not alive to their responsibilities. They were more concerned about winning the match rather than covering their tracks, hence the country paid dearly for it. Ask any knowledgeable coach and he will analyse that scenario the same way as I did so far he does not attach sentiments. “I don’t hate the coaches, but the truth must be told. They went as far as telling Nigerians that Kaita was the devil plaguing Nigerian football, but I am of the opinion that an apology should be written to the young man and Nigerians should be told the truth.” Onigbinde also said that contrary to insinuations that he hates Coach Samson Siasia, he is Siasia’s greatest fan. He said that he only tells the truth whenever he is called upon to air his opinion on national issues. “I don’t have any issue with Siasia. In fact, I am his fan. But I had to say what I said after we failed to qualify for the last Nations Cup because of what Siasia’s contract stated. I know he understood me perfectly and I wish him the best in his future endeavours,” Chief Onigbinde concluded.http://sunnewsonline.com/webpages/features/sportsonthehour/2012/mar/06/sportsonthehour-06-03-2012-001.html |

The leader of the South African contractors partnering Bi-Courtney Highway Services to reconstruct the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, Group Five, has demanded a firm commitment from the Federal Government on how to recoup their investment when the project is finally completed. Although Bi-Courtney has sealed a deal with the foreign partners, including the sharing of approved toll proceeds to defray the cost of construction, Group Five is said to be jittery following the controversy that almost stalled the collection of tolls on the Lekki-Epe Expressway by the concessionaire, Lekki Concession Company. Residents along the Lekki-Epe Expressway had last December protested the introduction of tolling by the Lagos State Government and the concessionaire after the completion of the first phase of the road expansion and modernisation project. They also dragged the state government and LCC to court and the face off did not abate until alternative routes were provided. The Chairman, Bi-Courtney Highways, Dr. Wale Babalakin, according to a source at the company, has forwarded the request of the South African firm to the Presidency as a fresh condition before the proper commencement of work on the highway. The indication came on Monday after a committee set up by the President Goodluck Jonathan to review the entire concession agreement had recommended that Bi-Courtney should be allowed to continue with the project. Babalakin had last year given an assurance that the road would be delivered in three years as scheduled, stressing that work would commence as soon as the rainy season ended. The reconstruction of the road was given to Bi-Courtney in 2009. Although the company has been doing some remedial work on bad portions of the road, work proper is said to be delayed due to inadequacies in the project design and inability of the concessionaire to promptly secure funding. A statement signed by the spokesman of the company, Mr. Dipo Kehinde, said the project would now be financed by Rand Merchant Bank of South Africa. He gave other partners on the project as Vela VKE (supporting engineers and consultants); Project Management International (construction experts); and Yola Consultants. The Minister of Works, Mr. Mike Onolememen, who in November received the partners led by Babalakin in Abuja, had said, “It is a project that is very important to us in the country, considering the busy nature of the road, which records about 3,000 vehicles per hour. It is the foremost dual carriageway in the country. It is, therefore, important for us to start work on time.” When contacted on the latest development, Kehinde said he had no comment. |
COMPLACENCY and lack of concentration sums it all up. Allegri should work on this as we get to the business end of the CL and i believe MILAN might still pull through a double (Serie A and CL) or at worst Serie A and CL final appaerance. Who is next? |
Definitely Tom and Jerry for us NTA / LTV-kids. Others (nouveau riche) kids will have a deferring opinion on this one. |
There was a time when tithes were goats, sheep and farm produce, but it is now paper money and very soon it will be virtual money. In all these, the church has evolved and will continue to evolve with the society. |
Emperor, it is your business and reputation being thrown into the mud. Rise up, and defend yourself from this accusation with either posting the vin or the car history. Will like to know the end of this cos someone already got a thread going on car-seller's dishonesty in Nigeria. |
Tried opening the link and its a blank page. So paste the story. |
Catchy topic but thread is blank with only a link which will not open on some mobile devices. kindly paste the story from your link to get comment on the story. |
Kobojunkie:You appear high on drugs. You head (which you have used to respond here) is drugs filled (Junkie). If you work in this sector (oil), you will UNDERSTAND that many of these IOCs try so much to minimise their landed investments e.g refineries and buildings in the Niger Delta and Nigeria in general. In future when the true story of Nigerian oil and its wahala is written up, you will see (if you are not doped) the true reason these coys do not want their assets located in the country where they make profit. |
Final Score Palermo 0: Milan 4. |
