Estimable: All of u shouting up Putin, take ur time and listen to CNN read papers and u won't support him again....He's busy supplying armour to russian rebels ,invading Ukraines privacy.....
I am surprised that there still people here who watch and believe CNN propaganda which has no credibility even in America after the lied to the people with Bush that Saddam has WMD. You have the internet, research for balanced news not CNN or BBC my guy.
Nobody quotes them even in the US or UK.
Northern Nigeria is facing a crisis because their source of news and information comes from BBC Hausa service which is used to spread hate as a British policy unlike in the South where information comes from local FM Radio and TV Stations which comes with several versions of the same news by different broadcasters. Grow up, times have changed and be smart.

Thats what you get for being the number one beggar nation in Africa. Oyinbos will impose their own culture on you while giving you their 'aid'.
Many Malawians were embarrassed that their country could not host the AU meeeting last year because the US threatened to stop their aid if they dont allow for same sex marriage and arrest the President of Sudan.

Guk: You do not need a mole to know what #Bringbackourgirls is all about. All their activities are open for all to see and participate. Read through their twitter handle and you would understand their mindset and i can tell you categorically that every single KOBO donated to and spent by #Bringbackourgirls is detailed to the last kobo and can be accessed if you ask for it. Oby Ezekwesili does not give a hoot to all your accusations by FG, this woman has been like this since i first met her in 1992...it is not in her DNA to thief anybody's money. She is one of the most principled Nigerians you can ever come across.

As for Madam Ogar, her seating posture on TV yesterday at the press conference says it all.
Nonsense! Where was Oby, Elrufai and Melaye when OBJ invaded Odi and Zaki Biam and a lot of lives including women and children were lost? They were Ministers and a rep in that Govt and didnt resign or condemn the action.
When PDP threw them out, they quickly become 'emergency' Human Rights Activist. Nonsense!

Spot on: Many of us who have followed the CIA inspired Arab Spring protests and the most recent one in Ukraine for 'Regime Changes' in the middle east knew that the Chibok protests were not genuine and had foreign interference and interests.
Anytime you find all the foreign media consistently focusing on one event at the same time, know that their countries have interests on the country. CNN, Fox, BBC, NBC etc lied to their citizens to support the invasion of Iraq which is still at war over 10 years after.
What the SSS is saying is what we in Abuja already knew and that was why they had to pay people to protest and when the couldnt get the desired crowd in Abuja, the western media and their CIA moved to Ukraine and left Nigeria.

As we say in Abuja, the US Marines are in Nigeria looking for GAS in the Lake Chad basin and not Chibok GALS. Across the Borno border Chad produces Oil run by French and Chinese companies

Residents of Abuja protested the other day about the high rate of unemployment in the city. Mini buses were banned and the SURE-P buses are disappearing gradually from Abuja roads.
Lagos alone generates 43% of IGR among the 36 States and FCT. This Govt is failing and the President needs to get his acts together. The level of brazen looting in govt is becoming alarming and fearsome for the ordinary citizens.
Militants are building Universities overseas while Nigerian students are sitting at home due to the lingering ASUU and ASUP strikes. Which way Nigeria.

I didnt see any AK 47 guns and bullet proof vests with those guys. Probably they are ushers in the church which you find in virtually every church to maintain orderliness. Even the pope uses security to protect himself and I dont see nothing wrong with having security afterall most churches in Northern Nigeria have Soldiers and Police gurading them. next topic please.

The Chairman will be installed and not funded while the appeal is ongoing till the tenure of the LGA Chairmen expires.
Nigeria is operating like a jungle city where those in power interpret the rules according to how it suits them at any point in time.

Na who be that person wey beat me for FTC? Why you come first me take something wey suppose belong to me? lipsrsealed lipsrsealed lipsrsealed

GEJ needs to be well prepared and explain to Nigerians why implementation of the current budget has been abysmal as only 40% of the capital expenditure has been implemented. Its mostly the capital expenditure that affects the average Nigerian on the streets.

The civil servants and political appointees ensure that recurrent expenditure is almost expended entirely on travel estacode, salaries, seminars and trainings that add little value to the system.
While presenting the budget it is anticipated that Nigerians will be informed about the mechanisms to be put on ground for proper monitoring of capital expenditure to ensure at least 80% implementation and not make budget presentation just an annual routine.

100million Nigerians live as destitutes.
100million Nigerians live below 1 dollar per day.
100million Nigerias suffer from river blindness
100million Nigerians dont have access to toilets.
100 million Nigerians bla bla bla.....

Nigeria economy is among the worst in the world yet this ldiats repartriate billions from Nigeria to their countries daily ask MTN or Shell how much they make daily here.

This foreign bodies have never given any positive stat about Nigeria e.g 100 million Nigerians celebrate Super Eagles world cup qualification.
Its only negative statistics, its high time we ignored all this useless stats.

naptu2: Saw it on tv. The Police Commissioner said that the terrorist were engaged in a gun battle with the army. This distracted them and they left the hostage's cell door open, which gave him the opportunity to escape. He later saw an okada rider who gave him a ride to the police station.
And the yeye ransom paying French President want to take all the credit without paying due respect to our gallant JTF and C-JTF who are facing the terrorists bullets.

The French govt under NATO armed and backed Libyan terrorists to remove Gaddafi and those arms are all over Africa and they acted as mercenary airforce for alqaeda in Libya. All those French and NATO supplied and stolen Libyan weapons are being used even as I am typing by rebel fighters in Tripoli Libya and in Mali and by Boko Haram to commit murder.

Next thing their World Bank and IMF will claim that there are 100 million destitutes in Nigeria. I think NLers should start posting pictures of destitutes in US, UK, France and European Union

Since my wife got an appointment that pays her well, she has started locking her phones so that I wont find out when bank alerts come into her phone and how much money she makes; ordinarily I dont even go checking her phone.

As a husband my phones are open without code but hers is coded and she refused to give me the password when I requested for it (wouldnt have asked if it was open and I dont even go to her phone) and thats making me to believe now that there is something she is hiding from me. Please somebody should advise me before I destroy those gadgets she calls phones.
A poster here talked about how his wife built a house without his knowledge and did all the transactions for several months during the building erection until he heard it from the rumour mills and confirmed it to be true.
What do I do now please, do I just ignore her totally or insist on her keeping her phones uncoded or give me the password?

Like some posters here have mentioned, you find several houses unoccupied for 2 years because of the high rent and the owners dont care. Tells you that they got easy money and are not concerned with recouping their investments. $65K with Service charge of N2m for a 3 bedroom. And the company have refused to increase our salary after moving me to Abuja, in Portharcourt I felt well paid and a semi bigboy, but here in abuja? ojigbi-jigbi-jigbi
i think d OP exaggerated d price of rent in dose estates tho
No he did not exagerate. I went with my French coleague recently to look for a house for him and the prices the OP gave are very very very true. The company ended up paying $65k in Ancestors court Maitama because their government warned them about certain locations due to security.
Properties › Re: Abuja’s Most Expensive Estates by Guyman02: 3:55pm On Nov 08, 2013
Many people in abuja work just to pay rent to the landlord.
I was transfered from Portharcourt to Abuja on the same salary and all I spend my time thinking is how i am going to pay the next rent. Iam paying 3 times what I payed in Portharcourt for a 3 bedroom flat for a 2 bedroom in Garki Abuja.
Areas outside the city center are prone to demolition by FCDA as they will claim it violates masterplan.

To cap it all there are several unoccupied buildings in Abuja, built with stolen funds by politicians who dont care how long it stays unrented if nobody is willing to pay their asking price.
Its good this is making front page so that those who want to come and visit their relatives in Abuja and the guy has been dodging will have an idea how expensive it is to live here and why the person is dodging you.

If you are a salary earner who prays for the month to end to collect salary, this town seems to be not for you as you continually feel the pressure.

The alternative is to move to Nyanya Maraba axis of Nasarawa where you feel your lifespan being reduced by the kind of hold up you meet everyday to come to come to work in Abuja city.

WildChild00: I can seems to understand wat is going on in here, what is GNLD to start with? And who authorized these thread to be on front page, without proper defination and terms and meaning?
google is your friend. See their website. http://us.gnld.com/en-us/home/

They deal on healthcare products and nutritional supplements that are normally expensive and are sold mostly by networking method; kind of you buy and sell to your friend to make profit and your friend buy and sells to his friend and you also make profit and on and on. The more people that register under the people you introduce the more profit acrues to you.
Beacuse most of the products have not being scientifically proven to be effective, you need marketers to promote it as doctors hardly recommend them for patients.
Jobs/Vacancies › Re: Is GNLD Now Dealing With Touts, Illiterates Etc by Guyman02: 3:30pm On Nov 08, 2013
All this pyramid network business is a case of monkey dey work.
Ladies in the office fall easily for it and then they come to me begging me to register as their down line and spend 50k for combo pack.
I look at the content and I see Chinese honey costing 10k per bottle. At the conference I attended at Sheraton it was videos and pictures of Nigerians being rewarded with Cessna private plane and latest BMW models and all of them started with nothing.
Me I no believe in pyramid biz, its better you take your money buy beans and fry akara on the road side and live within your means than living in a utopian paradise of upline and downline pyramid network.

It is actually not fraud as some are claiming here, because there is a product to be sold, but it is not as easy and simple as being portrayed in their seminars and you cannot make in a short time the kind of money/profit that is being proclaimed by the GNLD of Forever Living Product FLP agents/sub-distributors..

Its like Indians back home home dont actually know that there are hundreds of thousands of their citizens here working and doing business here while there are only 40,000 Nigerians there.
They underpay their Nigerian staff; bring very old retiree parents here. Nobody asks them to show their expired Visas on our streets or in their premises.
They repartriate so much profit home? Do they want us to bocott Indian products like Tata, Chi sugar drinks (Hollandia, exotic necta, chivita etc) Bajaj Keke Napep, Park and Shop, restaurants, pharmaceutical products (most substandard), Dana etc.?

Politics › Re: Nigerian Man Publicly Beaten In India - Video by Guyman02: 6:15pm On Nov 07, 2013
I work with Indians in the same office and they always have good things to say about their country inspite of the negative reports I see online about India.
They are treated like lords by the junior staff and like westerners also make so much profit from here which is evacuated back to their countries without anyone questioning them.

You cant take £5000 pounds out of UK to Nigeria without the country knowing but their citizens come here empty handed, get loans from our banks, invest in business, make huge profit, repartriate the profit home like MTN and Shell and come up with Standard & Poors statistics that we are the number 140 on a list of 143 countries surveyed for worst places to do business.
And all we do most times instead of challenging them and projecting our image (not as bad as proclaimed) is to fight about which tribe is the victim from. I dey vex!!

If she doesn't entirely open up about all that transpired and the roles played by various parties then nothing is solved. Is she ready to show you all the documents involved and do a change of ownership to reflect the Mr and Mrs just like you did in other properties.

For me I tried to swallow everything after my wife did a similar thing so that there would be peace, but after sometime, I still feel betrayed deep in my heart and this is affecting the home to the extent that finding her so feminine and gentle like back in the days to make love becomes a problem. Sex with her becomes a routine and something you do so that she doesn't accuse you of abandoning your matrimonial functions, that's one effect that most unmarried people without experience here will not understand.
Trust is very important in any relationship and when that is impacted by situations like this it takes time to rebuild, please don't allow it to affect your health, just try and be happy with yourself and children and be your normal old self.
