Na only beer factories I dey see for South East FDIs. Make the people just dey drink dey stagger. My only anger is that the man in the north who forbids alcohol because of Sharia will collect his share from taxes collected from beer drinkers without asking the FG to remove it from their allocation angry angry

You wan drive Hyundai, but now MTN is driving you crazy with daily N100 deductions forcefully taken without your consent for being unwise.
Seriously, I feel your pain of being cheated for thinking that the promos are real.
Anyway just call their customer care and ask them how to unsubscribe. And next time dont fall mugu again. All thse GSM promos are not what you hear on their adverts using Nollwood actors.

b03liberty: I will definitely edit my contact. places i use mtn to glo. its becoming phenomenon for mtn to be deducting their customer airtime of no any account. the first time they deduct my airtime, i called their centre and my money was refunded, albeit i was first accused of subscribed for their promo which i did not. and since that day, it has become every 4-4 days of removing 100 naira from my balance. call their centre they will not pick or when they pick it they will argue that i subscribed for their promo. its crazy for mtn undecided
All this TEXT and WIN people. How sure are you that you or someone has not registered your phone for those fake promos.

Any I have an MTN line for receiving calls while I only buy credit for my Glo Infinito which I have enjoyed for long now. I have so much Glo bonuses that I am looking for Glo subscribers to call

@Post: Obviously, posters here are being disingenuous and downright stoopid to even suggest that any comments from the SW portrays Abiola not to be liked! This is not the issue at all but it seems like the dumbass president, some people only want to ignore the main issue and major on the minor:

1. A real honor is renaming democracy day after him and recognize his place as president posthumously, this will get the support of everyone or most reasonable people.

2. The SW people are the most sophisticated and progressive people ever and see no point in having a built up brand after 50 years destroyed by someone who is too silly at 54 to know that the university was established by an act of parliament and cannot be changed fiat. Why not announce a new Federal university after MKO and see it grow to towering heights in a few years?

3. Due process. In a democracy, the people come first and he should have consulted with the students, alumni and the people who are stakeholders before trying to steal glory he knew nothing about or reap where he did not sow.

4. Brand recognition is a big deal when you try to do your graduate studies in a foreign university or work in the Microsofts, Googles, etc of this world because they immediately know and can recognize the brand of the certificate and transcripts you have. It is a big setback to Nigeria and Nigerians if they have to surmount a totally unnecessary obstacle like this in the process!

Rename Eagles Square Abuja after Abiola thats where political parties hold their conventions and inauguration of Presidents and Vice since this democracy. UNILAG as a brand name should not be used to score cheap political points
Politics › Re: So They Never Really Loved MKO by Guyman02: 3:57pm On May 30, 2012
Kobojunkie: Na lie! If MIT got renamed Albert Einstein Institute of Technology, I bet you would get little resistance. This is about the quality of the new name and not the renaming per se.
Albert Einstein yes i agree because he was an academician, I would have prefered renaming UNILAG as Wole Soyinka University. Why not rename Eagle Square Abuja where PDP normally holds their convention and presidential primaries as Mashood Abiola Square since we are talking about democracy here and live out academic institutions.
Politics › Re: So They Never Really Loved MKO by Guyman02: 3:33pm On May 30, 2012
Oga Jona, abeg build something else and name it after the democracy icon MKO. UNILAG has become a unique brand that some of us who schooled in better schools still rever that name UNILAG. Its like the US Govt renaming the Masserchussets Institute of Technology (MIT) to George Bush Institute of Technology (GBIT) or jibiti.

The Company belongs to the brother of the FCT Minister and is run by guys from mostly Bauchi State and headed by one Alh. Kaltungo as the COO.
I went there and I realised why the North is desperate to get power back, its a money spinner for these people and what they get is not included in FCT budget.
I was given a ticket for N15,000 for clamping of my tyres and recovery of my plate numbers.

NAIRALANDERS, POT HOLE NEARLY TOOK AWAY MY LIFE LONG ORE ROAD IN 2009. G0D SAVED ME AS I DID 360 DEGREES WITH A HONDA ACCORD CAR. I CAME OUT UNSCATHED. THE ONLY ISSUE I HAD WAS THAT A TRAILER BRUSHED THE PASSENGER SIDE OF THE CAR'S FENDER AND AND SMASHED THE ENTIRE FRONT CUT INCLUDING THE WINDSHIELD.

TOWED THE RIDE TO LAG AND FIXED IT WITH OVEN BAKED SPRAYING . GOD IS GOOD !
Thank God you are alive to tell us the story. May the soul Amb. Pindar rest in peace. Amen.
Govt must ensure that our roads are fixed, we cant continue to loose our citizens to bad roads and infrastructure.

Another achievement is that during the tenure of Orji Kalu, Abia State was practicing MAMACRACY but now it has been changed to SONOCRACY a situation where his son goes about with thugs intimidating the people of Umuahia until he was unlucky to meet an Army Colonel recently whom he humiliated by throwing out of a supermarket and the officer decided to invite his soldier boys who beat him Chinedu Orji and his thugs to pulp and he had to be flown abroad by his father Gov Orji.

Politics › Re: Obasanjo Slams Nato Intervention In Libya by Guyman02: 9:07am On Sep 01, 2011
Obj has spoken the fact. You cannot bring change from outside and expect western kind of democracy to work in a tribal society like Libya. With 50,000 dead in six months I wonder what kind of DIRTY DEMOCRACY NATO wants to bring to that country. Meanwhile all EU countries are already scrambling for the oil like piranhas when the war is still on trying to lay claim to oil blocks and quickly sign contracts with the NATO Transitional Council (NTC)

The most appaling thing about the rebels is the indiscriminate killing and lynching of black skinned Libyans and Africa migrants calling them mercernaries like the Ku Klux Klan did in America back in the days

Politics › Re: FBI takes over UN bombing investigations, sidelines Police, SSS by Guyman02: 3:55pm On Aug 29, 2011
Tell which country that FBI has been able to tackle terrorism. This month alone over 70 people where killed in Iraq bombings where the US still provides security.
The Taliban killed 30 Navy SEALS with one shot in Afghanistan when they brought down a Chinook helicopter.
The British Centre was also attacked in Kabul.
The fact is that GEJ is some how jittery when it comes to the Americans, British and French. That was why he quickly accepted the Shell sponsored UN report on Ogoni oil spills and the proposal for a thirty years cleanup operation if they are allowed to resume operations.
Let the Americans show us the technology involved in forensic analysis, we can even improve on it and work with it. Those guys just want to sell their gadgets to us, Shikena.
The more you involve the Americans the more radicalized people you push into joining BH, they will believe it is an opportunity to fight the great Satan (as Islamic militants see the US) who oppresses Muslims around the world.
Politics › Re: FBI takes over UN bombing investigations, sidelines Police, SSS by Guyman02: 3:20pm On Aug 29, 2011
It could also be a basis to gather information for a future war if Nigeria decides to nationalise her oil. Iraq allowed the FBI, CIA UN investigators into their country and after some years when Sadam fell out with the Americans they used the info gathered to attack the country. GEJ is becoming too much of a stooge to the West. The events of last week led to the bombing. First the American AFRICOM Commander came here to make so much noise about partnering with Nigeria to deal with Boko Haram.
Secondly, we broke ranks with the African Union and decided to recognise Libyan rebels on behalf of NATO without condemning their violation of the UN resolution which we signed for a 'NO FLY ZONE' to kill Libyan civilians, assassinate political leaders and embark on regime change.

Even if GEJ wants to hand over the investigation to FBI, it should be done silently afterall the Americans with all their arsenal on ground have not been able to defeat nor even weaken the Taliban insurgents in Afghanistan.
Crime › Re: Nine Nigerians Caught By Rebels In Libya. by Guyman02: 2:57pm On Aug 29, 2011
The Libyan rebels are racists and they are killing black Libyans and Africans. Those Nigerians were trapped in Tripoli at the beginning of the war and had the choice of either escaping through the sea in dingy boats that got sunk by NATO war planes before reaching Italy or completely abandoned to drown in the Mediterranean when the boats ran into trouble. Many opted to stay and hoping for the end of the war and now the rebels are targeting them.
Its a difficult time to be a blackman in Libya and we should be concerned because NATO and the white guys dont care about what happens to these black Africans, they are only concerned about the oil.

Before he released the press release; nairalanders have already posted exactly what is expected from the glueless GEJ and his 'advisers' and it is not different from what Dr Abati just released.

So whats the point in his release when we could easily predict the format and contents of the usual press release?

Next time be careful of what you say. NATO is killing Africans in Libya and all you could do after signing the so called UN resolution of a 'NO FLY ZONE' which was violated by US led NATO is to recognise the rebels and ask Gadafi to step down (a man more popular than you in Northern Nigeria).
The UN is an imperialist tool used to steal resources from Africa and they come back to give us aid through their agencies such as WHO, UNICEF, WFP etc after intentionally inpoverishing the continent.

The UN is busy giving access to American, France, Britain, EU to steal Libyan money and assets under the guise of 'FROZEN FUNDS' and you offer them credility in their criminality by recognising their rebel creation.
Politics › Re: Bomb Blast At United Nation Abuja -- BREAKING NEWS by Guyman02: 4:14pm On Aug 26, 2011
Is like GEJ didnt reckon with how popular Gadafi is in Northern Nigeria for him to have made that careless statement of asking Gadafi to go and recognising the rebels. You need to googl pictures of his visit to Kano to know what I am talking about.

The bombers felt that UN under the cover of NATO are killing fellow Muslims in Libya with the support of our loud mouthed president.

coolkaboom:
It usually takes about 1-2 months from processing, provided all necessary docs are fully enclosed. The checklist is as follows;
letter of last employment
letter of disengagement (must be over 6 months)
last pay slip
current account number
letter of indemnity from your last employer (stating they are not owing you and have paid all your entitlements)
standard application letter
your bank account number
I told you earlier that my colleague who retired has not been able to access his fund and got so frustrated from visiting their offices that he left his money with them.
The issue is that its very easy to open a PFA account but very difficult to get your money when needed or when due; our retrenched driver has been coming to the office everyday asking for one document or the order requested by IBTC to get the 25% that I feel for him wasting money on transport with no result.
Pension Fund in Nigeria is equivalent to Kalo Kalo (jackpot machine) what goes in can come out but very dificult.
Investment › Re: I Want To Withdraw From My Pension Fund Account! by Guyman02: 2:38pm On Aug 25, 2011
Somebody is asking how he can get his money at least to feed before another one comes and many are speaking grammar adding to his problem. Ok I have about N3million based on the last alert i received, i have been contributing for several years and you guys dont understand how I feel sometimes when iam broke and I receive alert that I have N3m in my account from IBTC.

My colleague who is over 60 years and have left the job has been struggling to get his money for the past several months that he got so frustrated and abandoned the money after endless come today come tommorrow by IBTC.

This whole pension stuff just like every other Nigerian initiative is like kalo kalo, they even reduced my money sometime in 2009 and blamed it on the crash in the capital market which affected returns that they expected from invested funds.

My guy if I may advise from the experience of my coleague, the amount of time and money that you will spend on transport to their office at this critical time is better invested in taking care of your basic needs until you get something else to do.

The pension stuff for now is not different from GSM lottery, easy to send text with your money and promises of millions. The more text messages you send the more money MTN or Glo makes while they encourage you to wait for the draw date which in this case is 65 years after.
Foreign Affairs › Re: Rebels Place $1.7m Bounty On Gaddafi’s Head by Guyman02: 1:51pm On Aug 25, 2011
This war has also exposed Russia and China as unrelyable allies who abandon their friends in times of need, at least America never does that no matter how hated you maybe by your people thats why Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Jordan have survived the arab spring.

The only reliable ally in Africa is South Africa, they never give up their friends to their enemies just like America and that is why Mugabe has survived.

No matter how bad Charles Taylor was Nigeria betrayed him by handing him to ICC and also allowing the French to push us into agreeing to a UN mandate to remove Gbagbo from Ivory Coast and signing the 'NO FLY ZONE' rubbish, America has many fugitives living in their country who protected American interests in their own countries including many russians and they will never extradite them.
