You can use your expired passport to Nigeria provided it's not over six months expired by your travel date. You must produce your British passport at the Airport too. Make sure your wife renew the Nigerian passport before returning to Britain.

Please can anyone advise me on how to go about renewing my wife's expired Nigerian passport, we are due to Travel Next month but from what I gather it is already too late to renew it and I have been told that emergency travel certificates are only processed 2 or 3 days prior to departure. Please does anyone have any ideas?

On the new visa4uk site, to book an appointment, there's only Lagos but on the vfs site (old site), there's Abuja.
I would really like to book at Abuja. What do i do now?

I think I saw Abuja on the new visa4uk site, and i think you should select your appointment venue from the visa4uk site not the vfs site. thanks

naira. people dat wana take d test many oh... so dey booked me for next week...ukba wan use dis tb test stylishly dey chop our money too oh!

I have Paid all for tuition and a lil but for accomodation

mrkossy: Re to the remaining fees, that includes your school fees, accommodation. I.e if you paid half of your tuition then the other half is a part of the remaining fees so goes for accommodation as well.
Re to the original documents supplied, it is your bank statement showing the money you ve held in your account for 28days.

Please while filling the online visa form on the new UKBA website, these two questions are confusing me :- Please does anyone know how best to answer it?

Do you have any remaining fees and maintenance still due for payment? and
What original documents has been supplied showing evidence of funds for the fees that still need to be paid?

bunburized: I was at vac 2day but still nothing. The dude who attended to me assured me it will be there 2mrw. However, after reading royalsweet's post that she got an email I had to check my spam and voila bhc abuja had sent me an email since Friday 13th Dec that my visa was issued. I have jst been unnecessarily worried since friday evening. Thank y'all for ur patience and assistance.

miz Gene: Actually dt is not right. Prospective students dnt hv to prove how they got their funds . If u ask me, it is an obvious fact that over 90% of students don't sponsor themselves,usually relatives or companies or well wishers are d sponsors so it shdnt be surprising to see a large lodgement. also it is specifically stated on the ukba site that proof of source of funds isn't needed for students.

You must prove that the money is yours to use.
They are looking for "money lodgement" where people borrow money to boost their account then turn up in country with no funds to support themselves.

So how do I prove it's mine?

Please does it matter if the name that deposited money in your account isn't same with yours? I mean can a friend deposit on your behalf in your account or must the name of the depositor be yours. Thank you

Don Oms: Just use your Schools' International office address or that of your school. You may then stay anywhere (like a hotel) while you sort out accommodation.
