They should not go. I 100% support these Great Ifes. My friend Ibukun was killed in Jos during his NYSC service year after spending 5years in Ife. I trust my Alma Mata to support these potential alumni of Ife not to go to Borno.

PoliticsRe: Tambuwal Is The New Speaker For The 7th Assembly by gymer(m): 10:04pm On Jun 06, 2011
mikeansy:
@gymer

ACN's vote is a message to PDP, you do not have absolute majority and can not impose your wish on a house as complex as this one. (not everything is about Yoruba vs everyother tribe, because not too long ago you produced the President).

Maybe going forward bills will now be passed based on negotiations between the parties. The trouble is that the debate between parties may not centre on crafting better policies in the interest of serving the public, it may be about how best to share the loot because lets face it no matter their party affiliation these lawmakers are still Nigerians.
Thanks mikeansy

1stCitizen:
Africans and our inferiority complex. Anything the whiteman says is right is right and anything he says is wrong is wrong. When the whiteman took Africans as slaves it was right, he did a turn around after 300 years and it became wrong. "Whites only" was labelled in buses and restaurants for several decades and it was right, later it became wrong. Homosexuality was wrong about 50 years ago and now the whiteman says its right. handling another man's wife in the name of acting is right now. Wait until the whiteman gives 101 reasons why married woman should not take part in such scenes, you'll see how we Africans take it down hook, line and sinker.

Soon boys will start kissing each other in Nollywood in the name of acting. Did I hear someone say her husband is comfortable with it. Tell me which fool will be comfortable watching his wife's nipp.les being kissed by another man because she is an actress. Why do Hollywood marriages always crash?

How many Indian films have you seen with actors groping each other on set like that? When will we be able to stand up, look at the whiteman in the eye and say that something is immoral because it does not conform to our beliefs, tradition and culture. Must everything conform with theirs?
God bless you.
PoliticsRe: Tambuwal Is The New Speaker For The 7th Assembly by gymer(m): 5:50pm On Jun 06, 2011
Where is the SW now in the scheme of things in Nigeria? No 1 to SS, No 2 and 4 to the NW, No 3 and 5 (senate president and Chief Justice) to NC and  No 6 and 7 (deputy senate president and deputy speaker) to SE. I just need somebody in the house to educate me of the benefits of the ACN controlled SW voting for Tambuwal. Good analysis please.

Nairaland GeneralRe: Do You Believe In Destiny by gymer(m): 2:22pm On Jun 04, 2011
Destiny is God's divine purpose for a man's life. It is what God has decided concerning a person before he/she was conceived. It is alife-long affair. To fufil it or not, is subject to one's personal attitude and agreement with God. If we agree with God, His intention, counsel, etc, destiny will come to pass. If we refuse to surrender to God, destiny (godly plans) will remain a dream. Destiny can be destroyed by our wrong attitude. Some destiny destroyers (why some people could not fufil destiny) include: Pursuit of vanity, lack of knowledge, lack of faith/self-believe, disobedience to God and his word, generational curses/problems (which only God, the architect of a man's destiny can remove), powers of darkness ( when you are in christ, you automatically overcome the influence of the powers of darkness), sin, pride, etc. I believe in God, I believe in destiny, I am fufiling destiny.

NYSCRe: FG Promises N5m Each To Families Of Slain Corps Members by gymer(m): 11:02am On May 11, 2011
Please before all you anti-GEJ crucify him on NL pick a copy of today's Punch, Guardian or the Sun newspaper to see details of what transpired yesterday. GEJ did not only promised the cash, he asked the families to proceed immediately to the NYSC office to collect the money as he has instructed the NYSC DG to pay the money immediately. He also promised automatic employment for immediate siiblings of the deceased who are graduates. He assured the families that perpetrators of the crimes will surely be brought to book. On a final note he mentioned that the money and kind is not to compensate them as no amount of money will do but to let them know that FG and Nigerians share in their griefs. The last he said is on immortalizing the dead corpers.

JaaizTech:
It seems GEJ supporters are very jittery; no one has been talking about the Presidential candidates but GEJ supporters keep dropping snippets about how peoples mind would change on sunday or how GEJ should be commended for these outcomes, on how election winners would return to the PDP. My advice to them is to keep calm, it is just 6 days away, and since free and fair is nearly guaranteed, no one needs to worry the most popular man will win.
In my Etsako federal constituency and Edo North Senatorila district, ACN candidates have been declared winners. Feelers from my brothers and contacts in Edo state however confirm that the presidential election is for GEJ in Edo state.
