That's true, most people in the country only talk about USMLE and PLAB. Yes you can send pm about the exams, etc. But if it is about PR process, you can ask questions here so that others will contribute and benefit. Uglyduckling: |

The steps you need to take are: -Evaluate your MBBS with MCC (physiciansapply.ca) and get your ECA report -Do other requirements for Express Entry (write IELTS, proof of funds, reference letter, etc) -Write the first MCC exam (called MCCEE)* or WAIT till you get to Canada. After all and sundry, you land in Canada. The next step is to write the remaining MCC exams (MCCQE1 and MCCQE2) to be able to practice as a Family Physician/General Physician. Some provinces may give you a JOB OFFER after passing only MCCEE and/or MCCQE1 with your past work experience. However, if you want to do residency, you need to write MCCEE and NAC, and also apply for the Canadian Resident Matching Service (CaRMS). Check and browse through: http://www.carms.ca/en/match-process/your-application/your-carms-contract/r-1-match/ *MCCEE can be written in some countries outside Canada emelueobi: 3 Likes 2 Shares |

They just sent out ITAs too today, April 19. https://www.welcomebc.ca/Immigrate-to-B-C/B-C-Provincial-Nominee-Program/Invitations-to-Apply jelmusboy: |

Bolded is a major requirement in most of the PR programs though. So please let's not be carried away by the low scores for ITA (it is only an invitation). We must meet the requirements under the program you got an ITA for. FSW, CEC etc. This is not to scare anyone. It is just a fact oo! http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/tools/perm/express/refuse.asp Onlineise: 1 Like |

Licensing is required for practicing. For ECA, WES will need the same documents as a regular degree holder. Lufthansa: |

Just the normal way other degrees are evaluated. I only know of WES. They evaluate such degree as Bachelor of Veterinary medicine, 5 years. If you are looking licensing, you would have to go through the board. Lufthansa: |

Not necessarily! What i meant is that: if you wanna choose a not-too-expensive province, stable economy and pay higher for child tax benefit and all, you can choose one of those provinces in the Atlantic region or Western Canada. To get more detail info, you can check the different programs offered by provinces (in terms of child benefits): http://www.cra-arc.gc.ca/bnfts/rltd_prgrms/menu-eng.html Bimpsy99: 6 Likes 1 Share |

Bolded are the languages of agents trying to make money. It is possible but if i were you i will not tread that path. www.cic.gc.ca does not contain those bolded information so i wouldn't do such except and of course maybe refugee/asylum claimant. abansc: |

Yes you still need to evaluate his Bsc from Nigeria since it was not obtained in Canada. Accompanying spouse does not need to submit reference letters and the job does not necessarily have to be in NOC O, A, or B. If the job for the accompanying spouse was not in Canada, reference letter is not mandatory. Epudome: |

Please don't get your Medical degree assessed by any evaluating body other than Medical Council of Canada. See the link: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/assessment.asp If you want to be the principal applicant, you will need to evaluate your degree through MCC (physiciansapply.ca) and the process/final evaluation usually takes longer than IQAS, WES etc. Lochinny: |

NOC 1111 is better and more suitable because most of the functions are in line with it. NOC 1311 is majorly a bookkeeper/Accounting technician category and generally, a bookkeeper does not prepare financial statements, review FS, or even deal with proper recording of fixed assets (maybe they do in our country sha, lol). I would suggest you go for NOC 1111 which is higher and better than NOC 1311 and more align with the job descriptions below. Both categories are under the required skill level 0, A or B anyways so you should be fine. Congrats @40manlappy and others! Moving on to the next step! Chinnie4Jesus: 2 Likes |

Yes bro. Any score/EE profile updated when the round of invitations begin 12:09:10 UTC, April 5, 2017 (in this case) is not eligible until the next round of invitations begin. The duration April 5-6, 2017 is when ITAs will be sent out and received by those that meet the cut off point. 40manlappy: |

Express Entry Improvements starting June 6, 2017 -Additional points for candidates with strong French language skills, with more additional points going to candidates who also have English language skills. On June 6, 2017, Express Entry candidates with strong French language skills, with or without English language skills, will be awarded additional points by the CRS. A total of 15 additional points will be awarded for test results of the Niveaux de compétence linguistique canadiens (NLC) at level 7 in all four language skills in French (listening, speaking, reading and writing) and an English test result of Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) 4 or lower. A total of 30 additional points will be awarded for test results of the NLC at level 7 in all four skills in French and English test results of CLB 5 or higher. -Additional points for candidates with siblings in Canada On June 6, 2017, the Express Entry system will award 15 points to candidates with siblings in Canada. To get these points, candidates will need to show that the sibling is a Canadian citizen or permanent resident who is living in Canada and is 18 years of age or older. The sibling in Canada must share a mother or father with the principal Express Entry applicant or their spouse or common-law partner. This relationship can be through blood, marriage, common-law partnership or adoption. Having a sibling in Canada has been shown to improve health and social outcomes by accelerating a newcomer’s integration into their new life in Canada -Job Bank registration voluntary On June 6, 2017, Job Bank registration for Express Entry candidates becomes voluntary for all candidates. Candidates who meet the minimum entry criteria for Express Entry will be automatically placed into the pool and immediately eligible for invitation rounds. If they do not currently have a job in Canada and would like to start their job search, they will be able to register for Job Bank. Employers will still be able to use all of their existing recruiting methods, including Job Bank, to find Express Entry candidates. After doing medical for EE application, my spouse was also asked to do medical for SOWP. We eventually decided to do another medical instead of emailing/informing them to use the EE medical. This is probably a similar case with yours. If you want to help future applicants in similar case/situation, you may decide to request for GCMS note to know exactly why she was denied after your response/email to the medical request and post. Congrats on your PR approval! kasco2pro: |

1) It is not wise to state that you have been working in a country illegally and even overstayed your visa duration. Do not shoot yourself in the leg. 2) You can claim the 4 years work experience since it is within the past 10 years. The question is 'after 2014, what have you been doing if not working?' Sincerely, the ball is in your court. Self-employed and schooling will gel but only if you've got proof for the school you went and probably what you studied. As per self-employed, can you prove that you own a 'registered/legal business'. Not necessary but sufficient just in case you're asked for evidence. Zutlin: |

If you mean Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) Canada, it is NO it does not fall into the Skilled Trade Occupation. Typically, professions like welding, etc that require some form of training/practical work are those that are classified as Skilled Trade. They usually require certification, rarely degree. ysmd: |
