lawmerchant: TRV is different from Permits (that is, your status in Canny: Visitor, Student, or Worker). TRV is what is stamped on your international passport (and your status is written on it). It is TRV that allows you to travel out of Canny and back until you get to the point of entry (CBSA) where you will be asked to provide your Permit (this time, Student or Worker). You got no MSP and your medical insurance through your school may not cover for the delivery so it may be safer you defer. Except you have enough money to cover for the medical bills yourself here in Canny. |

You may wanna wait to graduate and get your PGWP, then apply for OWP not Visiting visa oo for your husband. I was in your shoes on this. opeyemi87babe: 2 Likes |

I'm not sure if you can apply as an accountant because you have no work experience directly related to the field of accounting. But as a caterer, you may qualify; please check this link: http://www5.hrsdc.gc.ca/NOC/English/NOC/2011/ProfileQuickSearch.aspx?val=6&val1=6311&val65=* Your husband may qualify too as a principal applicant (NOC 0431 and 4311 as a Police officer) if he has directly related work experiences. Choosing who the principal applicant will be depends on your CRS points (which comprises of a number of factors like who has more work experience, etc). If you decide to come school here in Canny, your husband and children could join you in about 6 months. spicengo: 2 Likes 1 Share |

@dupyshoo, that is a very comprehensive, complete, and true info from the 'poster'. Thanks. I keep wondering why people focus on Manitoba and Sask (Majorly) when other provinces have their programs. My major concern, however, is on British Columbia's Express Entry BC – International Graduate, number 4 requirement. The statement "In addition, you must have 2 years work experience directly related to the job that is offered." may not be that exact because this is the stream a friend of mine that we graduated together applied for just last month (and he has not been working for up to 2 years). The minimum requirement basically is 1 year (equivalent of 30 hours per week) but generally, that info is complete and accurate. Also, the program guide and technical guide of the BC streams (PDF) will give more info as to the minimum points one needs to get an ITA (105 points for some of the streams). 2 Likes 1 Share |

Check this link for a centre in Nigeria: http://takeielts.britishcouncil.org/locations/nigeria Please also ensure you write the General IELTS exam for this immigration purpose. I hope this helps! CalcreteJB: |

Bro, i don't think there is any condition attached to that. Change of marital status will not change your study permit status. Also, your spouse will be given the Open work permit after you get to Canada. I was once in your shoes, so no worries! noblealuu: 1 Like |

Hmmm...his cousin and brother would have to apply for themselves differently because they are not his dependents (wife and/or children). His children are his family members that can/must be disclosed in his application for immigration (PR). dejilale: |

amehR16: Verifying the highest degree will surely give you more points (Masters in this case). Check the link here: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/express-entry/grid-crs.asp#a1 |

hustla: If the two semesters would last for 8 months (which is usual duration), then no PGWP. If it is 1 year, then 1 year PGWP. You can apply for MSc in other schools during or after the program. I would advise you get another 1 year program before you decide to apply for PGWP so as to get a 2-3 year PGWP. That is not the route to Skilled migration but CEC. |

WES should evaluate any degree that is verifiable. I would suggest you send the degree (B.Sc. or PGD) that directly relates to your previous work experience. To get more CRS points, you could evaluate both degrees 'as in this case'. Ladon7: |

If you know someone in Canada that can help make the payment, you can talk to the person and you pay the equivalent in naira. That is the easiest way!!! poppywasiu: |

I'm gonna advise that you include both Fixed and Personal accounts with a letter to explain that the funds were being transferred on a regular basis for the PR application. There is no harm in giving them all your shots. No document is too much for them to handle. For the records, no one would ask or confirm anything before they send you ITA (they don't have the luxury). They can only verify after you have applied for PR itself and make sure what you filled in the EE pool is the same with your PR application. I hope this helps. ramsol00: |

If his work experiences are majorly in Engineering, his B.Sc is more important to IRCC for EE. Because when filling the application for EE, he will be asked what qualification he has and the date he became qualified to start working in his NOC category. I hope this helps. oloriesther: |

Yes you need to write a language test like IELTS before you can create an Express Entry profile. You may want to start the process for getting a police report, and ECA report (for your degrees). flyboi1: |
