freddiley: Good day all. I have been invited to write an admission test in Munich on 27 May 2017. Has anyone here experienced such? Please i need advice. It depends on the course... When I had mine it was via Skype, but due to network issues they called my line. I was basically asked some basics from my Bsc, why TUM, why this course, and the courses I planned to take if admitted to the Msc program. Good luck with yours! 2 Likes |

Rapahel1116: Thanks a lot.....is there any way I can get a German language cert without going to Goethe institute Lagos....cos i stay in abuja...wat am saying is ,is there any substitute for Goethe in abuja?quote author=hadassaheke post=55894362] My dear for Bsc you'll need a 100 level transcript or HND transcript for English taught courses. As for language course, why don't you attend Goethe institute in Lagos? If what you're going for is between levels A1-B2......then the embassy might defer you to the language school in Lagos....... Just my opinion. I don't know of any language school in Abuja. Goethe institute is only situated in Lagos currently. |

dasoul: Hello Scholars, I just got contacted for TUM power engineering interview. Any useful tips from this forum would be greatly appreciated. Just google TUM MSPE interview questions, and you'll see some past questions online. Also, know why you chose TUM and the course in particular. Then learn some basics in electrical/mechanical engineering depending on your Bsc...... you can also make enquiries about on going research in that department. You should be fine with this. Finally try reading Lobito's post he was admitted for this course and posted his interview questions last year. All the best! |

hello, please can you clarify on this. I made some research into about the travel health insurance issued by german insurance companies. it is called incoming insurance and it only covers you from the date of your arrival to the date you enroll in your school, then the statutory insurance plan takes over. I don't think a school would enroll you with a travel insurance. meaning the amount you paid on it would still be wasted because you still have to pay for the statutory insurance from your blocked account. I might be wrong though, So anyone who knows the assured way this thing works can pls enlighten me. You're correct the travel insurance cannot be used in lieu of the health insurance required for enrollment. |

Hello please I'll need to get enlightened about this "certification of documents". From what I've read on the thread, ones academic docs could either get certified at German embassy or a notary public although I stand to be corrected. Then on the long run (ie. after having gained admission), will certification of docs at the German embassy have any positive impact on one's visa application other than those who didn't certify @ the embassy. I might sound like a JJC but we all know that getting well-informed is the currency of success these days. No, it won't. |

And also which documents are required for opening a blocked account with Fintiba? Pls let someone assist me answer my questions. Thanks ! Hi, you need to book for certification at Abuja embassy too, as it's also compulsory. For Fintiba bank, just follow the instructions on their website, you don't need to go the embassy to open the blocked account, everything is done online. Good luck! 1 Like |

Marael: Thank you Sir I am really grateful for your response. I will stay back here and study for 2 years so I can get the transcript as you said. And please what site can I check for the scholarship? And if I go there will I continue my tertiary education or start again? For B. Sc, your 100 level transcript (first and second semester) will suffice. You don't have to wait until after you're done with your second year in order to apply. It's either a 100 level transcript, HND transcript or perhaps another B. Sc transcript. 1 Like |

alloyflamez2007: I really need enlightenment on a few things. I recently secured admission to study in Frankfurt this winter semester. My issue is with the block account. Read on the website that I have to book for an appointment for opening the account using the online portal and not by email. The next available date I can see for embassy appointment is by June. Does it mean by the time I finally open the account I ll av to book online again for the student Visa interview ?
The process seems confusing. Can someone please show me the right path abeg !!!!! Yes. You'll have to book online again for the student visa. So the earlier, the better. 2 Likes |

bochu03: No...Buh if its available u can..if not wait until u receive E-Mail from embassy You don't need to wait till you receive an email from the embassy. You can go ahead and fund after your interview . Also, you can go for your visa interview even without funding. But you'll have to have opened the blocked account and present the slip or print out (as the case maybe) as evidence for proof of funding. 2 Likes |

Also, do I need first school leaving certificate (FSLC) because my mum said the school couldn't find the certificate If it's visa interview you're going for, then Yes you'll need your FSLC. Also download the checklist on their website so as to have guideline to the required documents, you're expected to come with. I wish you the very best! 1 Like |

gracious136: Thanks very much I also have another question.
I authenticated my documents (WAEC, statement of result, transcript) at Ministry of Education in Abuja. My question is
1) is my documents going to be accepted at the embassy?
2) do i need to also legalise my documents at Ministry of Foreign Affairs?
3)please, who is also going to landau?
Thanks
Hi, Good morning, you said you've gotten admission right? If so, why are you authenticating your documents again? Also, after getting your admit lerter you don't need to legalize any document at ministry of affairs, unless of course you're about applying. So which is it? Lastly, I think you should just read up the previous pages to get more accurate info. |
