Good morning house,

I just a masters offer from University of Rostock, I need someone to help me out on how to go about my visa application.

Please any one in Rostock kindly reach out to your brother in need of assistance
Hi,
1. Go to the embassy's website, open an account with Finitiba (It's faster considering the time constraint). When you get your account opening details, scan with a copy of data of your international passport and your admission letter to the embassy so as to get a date for your visa interview.
2. Download the necessary documents from the embassy 's website for visa interview, prepare and go for your visa interview.
All the best!

The visa application form is it filled with a computer and signed by hand or everything is filled & signed by hand?
My friend and I have have been arguing on this since morning... Abeg help settle this small quarel
Visa interview 80% loading...
Anyone goes. But if it's gonna be hand written make sure it's in capital letters, then you sign. Mine was handwritten and it wasn't a problem.
All the best in your interview!

Hello people. I must first commend how helping one another isn't such a big deal on this platform, that's rare and very well appreciated... as you're bout helping with mine grin

Got admitted to study Aviation management in Wildau Institute of technology(yes, different from courses and schools I read here + I'm paying big) cry, blocked account with Fintiba sorted in about 48hrs(funding going on in bits), visa interview date immediately requested, got August 10th.

My questions.
1) In a case where my block account hasn't been completely funded on interview day, what is a suitable answer when asked by the visa officer about funding?
2) Date boldly written on my admission letter as programme start date is September 1st(this is only 3weeks from interview date) but lectures starts Oct 9th, 2017.
I'd like to know if I'm at risk of visa refusal.
I read earlier of someone that was refused because there isn't enough time for visa processing.

Thanks in advance wink
1. That won't be a problem. You can say you are in the process of funding.
2. Since lecture commences on the 9th of October, and your interview is on the 10th of August, I'll say you have ample time, since they saw this and still gave you an interview date. What you should be worried about is your enrollment deadline.

Not true all the time. Both of the schools I've gotten admission to specifically asked to take the original letter of admission to the visa interview.
My dear, the embassy actually does accept a print out of one's admission letter. That was what I used for mine.

Congratulations. I also applied for MSc program in Physics (Applied and engineering) 17/18 winter application, though yet to receive application update. Is there still hope for me? What year did you applied?
Of course there is hope. As long as your documents got there on time. I got admitted last summer (around February) and deferred the admission to this winter term. If you didn't apply before January 15th, then you'll probably get a response around August. Just keep checking your tum online.
All the best dear! Would be glad to have you as a course mate!

All, this platform is a very informative and as really helped me and a bunch of people a lot.....

Please i have a quick question:

For those that have gone to the embassy lately for interview:

1) The SOP/LOI, if u write one from home, will you be requested to write another during the interview?
2) Funding, do u need take a bank statement to the interview if u havent funded, or just the blocked account opening confirmation is enough.
Lastly, 3) Is the primary school cert asked for, or just the secondary school upward is enough.

I will appreciate a response to the above questions.

Thank you and GOD bless.
Hi,
1. Type and make three copies of your SOP and you would be fine. That was what I did and I wasn't asked to write another one on the day of my interview.
2. Just a copy of the blocked account opening slip or details (depending on the bank you opened with) would suffice.
3. Yes, the primary school certificate and 2 copies thereof, will also be requested from you.
I wish you the very best!

Hi All,

Please I have trying to apply to TUM for masters in Data Engineering And Analytics, and I have been facing the problem of selecting degree programme. I mean the course I want to study is not listed.

Just like week when I tried; there are just two courses for the masters degree program. I wrote to the to complain, while waiting for their response I decided to check this morning again and the course is still not there, but there are about nine degree courses to be selected now.

Please what other method can one use to apply to TUM.

Thank you so much for your contribution.
TUM?
I think their deadline (May 31st) has passed. You should probably prepare your documents and apply for next summer/winter intake.

Hello peeps!

Hope y'all have a wonderful day in spite of the rain and dreariness. Congratulations to all who have just got their admissions in hand, and best of luck to all having their interviews later tonight.

My date with destiny at the German consulate next month fast approaches.
However, there are many issues regarding filling the application form and the interview in general that are still unclear to me.

I'll briefly state them below, and would appreciate helpful responses from those who have gone this path before or those very informed about this process.

First of, and most pertinent, is this confirmation of blocked account matter. Is it ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY to have the required funds in the account BEFORE the interview, or is it only AFTER the interview is done and one is asked to make the transfer? I no' sure say my money go complete before the date.

Second, I'm looking at my birth certificate right now but it's waaaaaay older than 1992. Is it valid for the interview or do I go swear an affidavit at the court?

Third, the form requests for my means of subsistence. Do I simply fill in... funds from blocked account, or is there more to it?

Fourth, it asks for Residence permit no. I suppose I'll simply ignore since I never ever go there before?

Finally, is there anyone at HS Rhein-Waal here, or can anyone connect me with someone at the school already. I hear accommodation can be difficult to come by, which implies one has to start the search for a decent and affordable place months in advance.

Looking forward to your helpful responses/suggestions.

Thank you!
Nope, it's not. You can go with the blocked account opening slip or the details(depending on the bank you used) for the visa interview and fund afterwards. It isn't compulsory to fund before your interview.
For the birth certificate.... Save yourself the stress and get an affidavit if the one you have isn't from NPC

Please I av 2 questions to ask
1) the Skype interview,is it conducted by the embassy or school? If school, why is it conducted after admission has been given and wat if someone fails, does it mean the admission would be withheld?
2) the blocked account,is it just the confirmation that is needed before one goes to the embassy or does it already have to be funded?

Gurus pls come to my aid.
Thanks
1. If it's the visa interview you're referring to, then it is conducted by the embassy, and No it doesn't affect your admission.
2.You can go with the confirmation slip or blocked account details (dedepending on the bank you use) for the interview and fund afterwards.

hello every one, please I need advice on what to do. University of Freiburg sent me scan copy of my official admission letter and said I can use it for visa application. Please, what am I suppose to do next? Please, i need detail advise. Thanks
Hi, the next thing is to open a blocked account, you can use Finitiba bank in order to save time. When you've received your blocked account details, scan your admission letter, the blocked account opening slip or sponsorship letter (depending on the one you're using) to the embassy so as to be given a date for your visa interview.
All the best!

Yeah bro! I already downloaded the application form and the declaration from the site. Other documents seem not to be directly under the student visa and are kind of confusing. Moreover, ain't we suppose to take any of our other documents like certificate and all there?
Go back go to the website, and you'll find a list containing the required documents for student visa application.
Good luck!

Oga, use abj.

It's even easier over Dia. Mail the embassy
Oga calm down. You don't chose where you'll be interviewed.
Visa interviews are done at the Lagos embassy. Except for last year where some persons were asked to go to Abuja owing to the large number of application they had. So, it's not in his hand to chose where his visa will be done.

Hallo Leute

I've opened the fintiba account but my funding is not available now, but it will be paid into my Fintiba account September first week. My enrolment date is 25th of September.

Please I want to ask, can I schedule for the visa interview without the account been funded and I don't have any other statement of account to show.

Please I really want to know your take on this, what are my chances of getting the visa.
Go ahead and book for your interview with the account details slip given to you by Finitiba bank. You can fund after your interview.

My people,

please I have 2 more questions :

1) must the statement of account have a min balance of the required 8640 euros or it's only needed to rate the account's cash flow based on previous transactions?

2) while filling the DB account opening form where they asked of the additional amount I will be committing to the account (something like that sha). I simply subtracted the 8640 euros from the specified amount on the admission letter. I then entered the balance on the form. I hope I have done the right thing? **before I shoot myself in the foot.

3)lastly, if you have been granted access into the embassy and there happen to be an error on your account opening form, what happens? can it be corrected there, or can you go out to correct it then come in again to continue...

I am PHC based and it costs me quite a lot shuttling from PH to Lagos.
Since you stay in PH, why don't got use Finitiba bank so as to cut cost?
1. Yes. It should have the equivalent of the amount in the account. E.g 3.8M/4.0M
2. I don't really know about this.
3. Try as much as you can to avoid any error in the form, as you maybe bounced by the guy at the entrance.

On the application form : it stated where do you intend to stay in Germany?
What is to be answered there? Been that I have not gotten there to rent an apartment
In my opinion, I don't think adding a health insurance will matter... Since after the interview you will still be told to get one....
I think it's wise to get a 2 months insurance from mansard or mutual benefits.... To save time
What do you think?

@bigman when is your interview date?

You don't need to get any insurance for the interview.
Just chill. After your interview and if successful, you'll be told how many months travel insurance to come with for visa collection.

The first step is to google Daad international program, then filter to your desired course, check the requirements for the courses you're interested in, and then take it from there.......You should also read up the previous pages, and then you can ask for assistance where necessary for proper guidance.

Go to uni-assist. Register there, and start looking for schools that offers your course. No need referring people to start reading from page 1!
You can do better, by referring to specific areas where you lack knowledge of what is obtainable therein.

Its as simple as that- lets stop making it a big deal!! V

Why advise the person to register first with uniassist. What if the the school he/she is applying to isn't under uniassist?
Reading from page one isn't so bad though......
