Education › Re: Does Biggg Money Make Someone Lose Focus In Studies? by Hahjascho(m): 1:45pm On Jan 01, 2021 |
Thecreatorx: Happy New year's Eve guys.
Please be honest, does making big money as an undergraduate distract students from studies?
I'm asking cuz most of my former classmates and coursemates who started getting money from their business or a job or politics have totally lost the passion for studying, and I don't wanna go through that path. I'm a bright Student, with a first class cgpa and highly determined, but this Covid-19 made me read and Practice making money stuff, in getting paid thousands of dollars monthly from Google and Fiverr, so I'm thinking will it affect my grades negatively?
I imagined a life where I'll study every night, attend all classes and still make millions of naira from young age, but I have a feeling I'll make the millions and lose my grades, this is bleeped up. And sorting in my school can't get you first class, you need pure brain and perseverance so I don't sort. It's hard but it's not impossible. Focus on the one that is of higher priority to your way of life.... meanwhile, money can always be made while cgpa is timely and forever. Follow your instincts. |

Just say you're the one, nobody will beat you.. .. and it's more relatable that way. However, except you've realised medicine is not your way due to some conditions such as low grades, reluctancy, loss of interest, etc. else, I will advise you finish your MBBS strongly while making any specialized It skill as your hobbies... after everything, you could just pick a major and current IT skill and do a few years course on it. Most importantly, talk to your self, weigh the pros and the cons... |

You attract what you give to the world.... that's just a foolish being seeking for a Playboy or manipulator.
Ladies like this end up being frustrated in life after the temporal pleasure they seek is no longer there..even when it comes to settling down. They're everywhere around you.
Nobody wants a weak fellow. However, being bad or good has nothing to do with being firm, protective, confident etc. as projected by most ladies.
You attract whom you are... stop complicating issues.

That's a nice write up @Op.
However, the challenges 'Nigeria English' face goes beyond grammar but also pronunciation. Basically, Nigeria was colonised by the Britain around 1901, this proves the normal style of English Nigeria is entitled to naturally emulate. However, different exposures have changed the orientation of Nigerian English.
Most text books, journals, news-casters, TV stations, public speakers and even the common computers being used locally are programed in American English.......some Britain also did 'Americanize' their pronunciations.
This really causes confusion in the vocabularies and pronunciations being spoken... most importantly, the inconsistency being encountered in Nigerian pronunciations. |

1. ```The 14 to 45 year old males will be bearing arms directly whether or not they like it. About half of them will die within the first year of conflict. At least 30% of females in this age range will be raped and probably killed.```
2. ```The bulk of 0 to 13 year olds will grow up as orphans. 10% will be killed in the first year and another 50% will perish from neglect in subsequent years.```
3. ```The population above from 46 to 65 years will have their dreams finally destroyed and will die out rapidly from lack of a will to survive the hardship and stress.```
4. ```The population above 66 years will have no support to survive and will die slow lonely deaths, some through starvation and neglect.```
5. ```Crime rates will multiply ten fold given the unbridled access to arms and ammunition. There will be no safe havens given current trends.```
6. ```Life expectancy will drop to 21 years from the current 47 years.```
7. ```If the conflict lasts longer than one year the worlds largest refugee problem would have been created. Nigerians will flee into Niger,Togo, Ghana, Chad, Benin Republic and Cameroon. A one way journey for most as these countries are completely unprepared for the potential influx of humiliated Nigerians.```
8. ```Through CNN, Aljazeera, SABC, BBC and other media houses we will become the global laughing stock with no idea of what next to do.```
9. ```Present day uncompromising voices will run away to safety. Shamelessly so. The afore mentioned victims will be drawn from ordinary folk.```
