with election approaching this weekend eksu has decided it's the right time to declare school open. this violates students voting rights as some would be forced to abandon pick and right to pick presidential candidate of their choice. ...not to mention safety of students lives especially as many live outside school premises and would therefore be exposed to any eventualities of election within such areas. ✅ The meeting held today,Wednesday 20th February, 2019 by Ekiti State University Stakeholders produced the following:

✅ Exam begins tomorrow,Thursday 21st of February.And for the sake of emphasis, there is Exam on Friday 22nd and Monday,25th, February as against contradicting rumours.

✅ Furthermore, the *NO SCHOOL FEES,NO EXAM* policy is fully implemented and will be handled with strict rigidity as all HOD's have been ordered to download the list of all their students for clarity purpose.Thus,all Eksuites are advised to pay up their school fees and other dues to avoid impediments on examination day.

➡ Meanwhile, we wish to inform all eksuites that *The Smart School fee* can now be paid online via the new portal www.eksueportal.eksu.edu.ng .This will help in curbing the rigours of queuing in banks.

�Conclusively,all students who have completed their registrations must log into their portals to print out their clearance slip which in turns serve as *EXAMINATION PERMIT*.If you still have any outstanding payment, you will be required to make the payment before you can be eligible to print the clearance.

I hope you don't..... it ain't a bad idea by the school.....many students were in school during last governorship election in fact it was a period of school Examination and everything went well.

So, Friday is a general public holiday....everyone can still make best use of it.....and returns the next week.

I thought it was a simple process, it thought the process to achieving success was: Going to school, ensure you become the best you can be in school, Finish school and then become successful. Of course, that was the key back then, try asking our men of old and they will tell you that is the process. Once you are done with school and you have gotten good grades then you are sure to get a good job. That was what our fathers told us “Education is the best legacy”.

I was in a bus some days back, a public bus to be precise. I thought the well-dressed guy sitting just beside me was also a passenger, I was shocked when he got up and asked us the real passengers for our transport fare. What got my attention wasn’t exactly the fact that he was well dressed, his use of English swept me off balance. Yes, I am not a conductor but I was sure then that if I am to be in a debate with that young man in the bus that morning, a debate which counts base on your fluency in English language, I won’t be worthy to untie the lace of his shoes. Thank God I was to drop at the last bus stop (The point where the bus itself is to stop), I so much longed to speak with this educated conductor. I stylish waited behind like I was looking around for something until the coast was clear before I took my shot. “Good morning” I greeted the young man who was now busy counting the money he had made from the first trip of the day. “Good morning” He greeted me back as he rose his head to stare transiently at me. I paused, I didn’t know how to present my case, I didn’t want to sound rude and I didn’t want him to feel offended. “Are you the conductor to this vehicle?” I blurted out my question. He immediately stopped counting, look up at me and nodded with a smile on his lips. “I have been the conductor for some months now, I can’t just stay idle after my graduation from the university” He told me. The surprising thing was how he maintained the smile on his lips all along. That was it, he is a graduate, a graduate of a prestigious university of our wonderful country. Hmm, that guy I spoke with that morning is someone who had the best legacy “Education”. Didn’t they tell us that education was the key to success? Didn’t they lie to us that if we are educated then we are meant to be successful? Didn’t they paint education to us as the ultimate all? What then are our educated youths doing in the bar every night drinking themselves to stupor due to frustration? What then are our educated youths doing in the police cells? I thought if I am educated then I should be successful. Isn’t education the key anymore? What then is the new key? I think I know it.

You won't get the answer until you get the real definition of EDUCATION right.

The answer is also based on what every individual views EDUCATION to be....

Anyone who believes EDUCATION is only going to school, earning a degree and waiting for a white- collar Job is still not getting it, might be frustrated or may not just last in the organization.

The impacts of EDUCATION to a Nation is so great an effect that one can conclude is not the key based on the conditions attached to it in this country NIGERIA. Don't let the country state of *Academic -health* limit your thinking.

EDUCATION is beyond what you learn in class room.

RIGHT EDUCATION will unlock your innate cave of KNOWLEDGE ACQUISITION...... any successful man who underrate the role of Education (knowledge acquisition) in any FORM may not last.

You can make research on the importance of EDUCATION....

SO YOUR MINDSET ABOUT EDUCATION WILL BE THE INSTANTANEOUS ANSWER TO WHETHER IT IS OR NOT THE KEY.


What then is the key??

EDUCATION coupled with [self discovery ( your passion), right Information, clear vision, right Networking, focus, hard work, right knowledge and skills acquisition and CONSISTENCY is the KEY.

You need to condition your mind and brain....why?....because Reading is a mind game.

1. First of all, convince your mind on why do you have to read the books..... what grades do you aim to get?....what type of results do you wish to achieve ? ....how many pages or topics do you wish to cover before starting?....having these mindset will help you.....WRITE THEM DOWN AND PUT IT BESIDE YOU.


2. You cant cheat nature! It's more easier and better if you take a rest/sleep prior to the reading time or in betweens. But if you still feel dizziness , pause the reading ,move to where people read in group, before sleeping tell them to wake you in the next (say 20minutes at most). You eyes should be clear by then. DONT DO IT ALONE O! I REPEAT so that you don't wake up the next day...lol



3. have you observed or discovered the best time you realised is ideal that you assimilate better?? Note it and religiously follow it.


4. Have you noticed if you are trying to follow someone's else reading pattern? Don't be a copycat.... Stick strictly to what suite you best and apply commitment.


5. After all this things, if you see no changes then you need a strong willed commitment.

You will have to force yourself o...and do anything to keep you going so far it's what you have to do.... you are in already...

Take snacks as you read!

Walk around as you read!

Move to where serious students read.

Don't overload yourself, read No2 again.

I'm sorry guy, but you won't find your answer here. Most people here are frustrated 3rd class graduates who only finds validation in discrediting anything that look like merit or first class. They're quick to point the fact that there are many first class graduates out there without job, and they themselves are the future entrepreneur lord like Elon Musk, Steve Job who will employ the first class graduates and give them job in the future. All that they need to do is to graduate with 3rd class or even drop out and become Mark Zuckerberg.
