Christianity does not promote immorality. Far from it. Moral standards you enjoy today mostly come from the Aristotelian/Judean/Christristian teachings and traditions. Christian moral ideas from Jesus down through Augustine up to Calvin and the modernists like Dietrich Bonhoeffer (I leave out more than 30 other philosophers out of consideration for space), are responsible for much of the modern values we take for granted.

Christianity is at the root of the legal code practiced in just about all of Europe, America and the former colonies of both. Even Asians adopt many of Christian codes of conduct indirectly.

The killing of twins was stopped by Christian doctrines, the forgiveness of prisoners can be traced to christian ideals, same for the equality of the sexes and universal suffrage, Democracy is a Greek idea polished by Christian influence. Christianity preaches against usury, polytheism (partly for its destructive effect on society,), murder, adultery, stealing, bearing false witness, and showing unconcern at our fellow beings suffering. Even a respect for animals can be traced to Judeo/Christian teachings (one of the barbaric acts the Israelites noted about the Philistines was their habit of cutting off the leg of sheep for meat to keep the animal alive and the remainder fresh).
Finally, Christians and Christianity more than any other group brought and spread education to the world. This is no small feat. I would argue it is the strongest foundation of modern civilization

In the passage you quote, nobody, least of all Jesus is advocating that evil should go unpunished. Instead he means that no one is so bad that he will not be accepted into the fold if he repents. Remember the principal message of Jesus was forgiveness, love and repentance. The same Jesus declared a strict division between the religous and the political institutions : "Render unto Caesar what is Caesars ...."(Mark 12:17)
A world without punishment is not a christian world. A world without redemption isn't either.

I tend towards deism / theism/ agnosticism but that is not to say that I would support a misinterpretation of Christian doctrine in pursuit of my motives.

May I remind you of the fact that (in time past), I was a devoted Christian for 22years. All my life, I thought the Bible was right and without errors until I started to read again with an open mind, relating events together.

Do you wanna tell me you understand the Bible more than I do just because you label yourself a christian currently? If yes, what are the criteria used to understand the Bible?

It's unfortunate you had to run to the emotional angle instead of the rational or reasonable. You can easily prove if there's is poop in my head or yours same way a doctor determines if you had fever or diabetes. There are scans, machines and signs that can be used to determine and ascertain this. There are studies and trends on the human body, the digestive tract, circulatory system etc. Indeed, it is one thing to go to school, it is another for school to pass through you or find it applicable in real life scenarios. No need sending a scanned copy of your C6 result in basic science/biology. It misses the point.

We don't know totally what Energy and Consciousness are but we believe in these things. We experience them . There's even a philosophical position that posits that the mystery behind consciousness can never be known - we can never fully understand consciousness. With your logic , we are all now fools simply because we may not unravel the mystery behind these things?

Anyway , you only prove or provide proof in Mathematics . In other areas of life , you provide evidence or reasons why you accept or reject a particular belief , position or stance . As a theist , I have myriads of tenable logical reasons why I acknowledge the existence of God . As an atheist , give me your best reason why you think there is no God .

It'll be a waste of time explaining to you... Obviously you made this out just to get attention (which you did). However, on a general note for the sake of people who have gotten curious, God is not a mindless punisher as a lot of people paint Him to be. There was no law then, so people only did what they either had been instructed by God or what they felt was right. The only punishments were for wrongs that those people were aware of. Lemme stop here for now
