I agree with you. You see, God is not tied to religion. GOD is a force, your faith or beliefs does not affect or change the principle of God. The only thing our faith or beliefs would change is us.
God cannot exist without religion. Faith and blind belief are products of belief

What counts in making heaven is the works of our hands.
This is a product of wishful thinking. Do you have proof that heaven exists?

When I said God, I did not tie it down to any religion did I? So what is "your God" you are talking about?
You do not need to. From the way you write it is obvious you are referring to Jehovah. Or am I wrong and you are referring to Zeus or Allah as the god you serve?

Sorry bros. But I believe there is a divine force. The Creator and law that guides the universe. I believe all it takes is faith in that force to lead you to your destiny.
See, this situation you are in now, do not let it get you down too much. Keep faith. Tell your spirit that you believe there is a divine force that guides you and it is working for your good. Surprising thing with God/ Creator spirit is that it surprises us. Where you are looking at for help may not be where God would use to help you. Just keep an open heart. Try to live life the best way you can in your situation.
Wishing you the best.
You are not helping.

There people who believe in your god who are successful and others who are suffering

There people who believe in other gods who are successful and others who are suffering

There are people who believe in no god and are successful and others who are suffering.

The belief or disbelief in any god is not a guarantee for success or failure.

The op should be in the business section

For over 20 years, I have been praying for and against things.
Yet bad things keeps happening anyways.

Like job loss a day after wedding and non till date.

Trying to be self sufficient with my skills but things are stiff.

I have done sacrificial offerings, fasting, seed sowing, praises, prayers all the time, but he is too powerless to act.

If it's the devil that is responsible for these bad stuffs, why can't destroy it or them so that I can concentrate on worshipping him.

Obviously prayers doesn't work or except to some other powers that I'm yet to discover.

But right now, God does not exist and if he does, he has no power and if he's got some power, maybe he is bias or selfish or he does not care about some people.
Lol. This is actually the problem.

God is not responsible for you not getting a job. You are.

There is no need shifting the blame on god.

I would advice you start a business. If you cannot get a job, create one.

We cannot control what happens to us in this world, we can only control how we react to it.

There is no devil or god. Just humans.

Take responsibility for your life. No need to play the blame game.

Just what kind of evidence can we all agree on to be a good evidence for the existence of a god? (This question is particularly for the atheist on here.)

Whether it is a voice coming to you in your sleep (or perhaps when you are awake), a figure showing up in the sky and declaring 'itself' a god; Is it not subject to your own interpretation?
God has to knock on my door and say, "hi, I am it/he/she god himself with the capital letter G"

Then I will give it/he/she a quiz.

Who created you?
Why do you sit back and watch people die?
Write an essay with 200 words on what you understand by the words, "unconditional love"
Do you think loving someone unconditionally also includes threatening them with hell fire?
Why have you not forgiven Satan since you are all forgiving?
Why did you create Satan since you knew(you are supposed to be all knowing) it would be evil?
Why did you creat evil?
What happened to the dinosaurs?
How come you are not god of Africa and only god of Israel or Saudi Arabia?
Do you feel you are a failure since you destroyed the world and killed women and children in Sodom and Gomorrah because of sin and sin still exists?
What style did you use on the night you impregnated Mary?
Don't you think you need psychiatric evaluation and maybe go on medication?
How many times a day do you mastrrbate since you watch so much porn daily?
How many wraps of weed did you smoke to earn the title "the most high"?

We can start from here cheesy grin

ColdHardTruth:
We have great, incredibly open discussions and I feel his honest love for myself and my family. This helps a great deal considering my wife and kids (and myself) still attend the local congregation (called a “ward” in Mormonism) often. I have no horror stories to tell about local leadership like some others do. They have been loving and supportive.

I was incredibly happy before I was a Mormon. I was a very happy person when I was a Mormon. I am very happy now. My conclusions are different, but I am the same person throughout my different perspectives on life. Some people become quite bitter after they leave a faith. I honestly loved being Mormon, but I believe I have better information and understanding now than when I was a Mormon. That personal, better understanding and information has led to a different conclusion. While I surely disagree with some beliefs (and approaches when it comes to being honest about the church’s history) in the Mormon faith, now I hold no hard feelings against the church. I think the church is a collection of people doing their best with the information they have (they likely think the same of me!). My experience in Mormonism was so positive. But that positive experience hasn’t stopped when I stopped believing. Life is just as rewarding, exciting and meaningful now.

Many people who leave Mormonism are bitter towards the church. I have found a great sense of community amongst other people who have left the faith but lack the bitterness. We discuss philosophical questions, Mormonism and our newfound perspective on it and just life in general. It is a great community.

Changing our foundational beliefs about how the world works and how to make sense of it can be difficult. There is a feeling of loss that comes when you change something so drastic concerning your world view. But life is full of wonder and beauty. You just need to find what makes you fulfilled and happy. For me it is my wife, family, discovering new truths and serving others to reduce the suffering in the world. Those things have stayed constant despite my apostasy. I find great happiness in them.

Lol.
I think that since May 29th 2015, Nigerians may have woken in an alternate universe where everything, every known law of economic management seem to be upside down.
For example, after winning a historic election, the newly elected leader, rather than attempt to unify the country, opted to divide the country into 95 percenters and 5 presenters.

Rather than quickly assemble a team to hit the ground running from day one, he runs a sole administration for 5 months without ministers.

Rather than present a budget that encapsulates his economic vision, he presents a copy and paste, inflate and pad budget that actually encapsulates his LACK of VISION.

And for first time perhaps in modern history, we see a government almost double it's budget at a time when it's primary source of revenue is down 70℅.
If that was Not pure Voodoo, I don't know what is.

He talks diversification while the information ministry gets a budget bigger than agriculture and labour ministries combined.

He shops for loans to fund the budget while still promising welfare payments to 1 million ghost people.

The finance minister tells us that the budget cannot be fully implemented, and then the next day, the government goes to the Parliament for a supplementary Budget.

We hear that budget is being successfully implemented, but NOT a single CAPITAL project has taken off.

Rather than prune the civil service for efficiency and more productivity, the government is promising to hire hundreds of thousands of more civil servants, while still shopping for loans.

After announcing that they are shopping for a record- setting $30b loan, with no economic blueprint attached, this government is announcing a planned increase in workers salaries. huh

Basically , this government is mortgaging the future generations of Nigerians just to do political PATCH PATCH jobs of today.
What a monumental tragedy. undecided

I wish this 1and half year trip to the Alternate Reality is just a bad dream that we can all happily wake up from soon.
It is actually a bad reality sad

For wine to be alcoholic the grapes must have been fermented and Jesus did not need grapes for the miracle all he needed was water so where did the alcoholic content come from?

https://i2.wp.com/listverse.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/04/baby-dionysus-reni.jpg-tm.jpg?zoom=2&resize=269%2C350

Dionysus was born of a virgin on December 25 and, as the Holy Child, was placed in a manger. He was a traveling teacher who performed miracles. He “rode in a triumphal procession on an ass.” He was a sacred king killed and eaten in an eucharistic ritual for fecundity and purification. Dionysus rose from the dead on March 25. He was the God of the Vine, and turned water into wine. He was called “King of Kings” and “God of Gods.” He was considered the “Only Begotten Son,” Savior,” “Redeemer,” “Sin Bearer,” Anointed One,” and the “Alpha and Omega.” He was identified with the Ram or Lamb. His sacrificial title of “Dendrites” or “Young Man of the Tree” intimates he was hung on a tree or crucified.

I am not a Nigerian. I do not even live in Africa. I am bemused and astonished by the way Igbos are regarded and treated in this forum, and in the nigerian politics. I always ask my dear friend Johnydon22, if this enmity reflects in the real life of nigerians.

How can this be? Why would a region with such huge potential and proud people, be completely marginalized, under the monitoring - and sometimes pleasure - of other tribes? I am completely amazed.

I understand there was an attempt to secede from Nigeria and form Biafra. Is it the reason for such hatred and marginalization? In Germany where I live, and many other european countries, there are regions who want(ed) to secede. it has never led to such pitiless horrible tribalistic policy against those regions. Whether it is Scotland, Bayern, Catalogne, L'ile de corse (in France) and so many others. I have lived in several european and african countries. In ALL of them they were always groups and tribes who at some point in time wanted to secede. But I have never witnessed, such systematic organised marginalization of those groups, under the watch of the rest of the population.

Worst still, Igbos, as I perceive it, are neither welcomed to stay in Nigeria, nor allowed to to go away and have their Biafra. What nonsense is that? It has gotten to the point, even igboic tribes are fighting here to claim they are not igbos, as if being Igbo is a curse... shocked
Even people who I somehow admire, like my Chief Sukkot, are day in day out insulting the tribe... undecided

I know Igbos have their flaws. But what on earth could justify such common behavior? I think, the igbo problem, is the single problem between Nigeria and Greatness.

I am not a nigerian, nor am I a specialist of nigeria. But i have been in Nairaland for a very long time, and I silently scrutinize most trending threads almost every day since 2010 (reading is my forte).

Please Plaetton, Hahn, Sonofluc1fer, stephenmorris, jackbizzle, Bigfrancis21, Johnydon22, Hardmirror, Benodic, Sarassin, Deepsight, Mrpresident and others, do enlighten me.
