DeepSight: What has happened to you? ? ?
It appears you have conflated spirituality with religion. . . .
You know very well that these two things are different.
If not for the pursuit of the spiritual, what purpose and inner meaning can a human being put to life? Would man not simply exist as a hobbesian beast?
When you look at a human being, what do you see?
When you look at yourself, what do you see?
A meaningless physical agglomeration of darting physical micro-particles which somehow comes together as one, not just to feed itself in physical terms but to even project ideas to change the world. Is this the thing that you believe is a mere beast, nothing more than an intelligent and advanced beast?
Regardless advancement, do you not see a clear - and - improbably too wide gap between the faculties of man and those of other creatures?
How often have you sat before and contemplated the dead body of a close friend or relative? If you have done this, you would understand that there is absolutely nothing to the physical life save the pursuit of, and refinement of our real spiritual existence outside this vehicle called a body. Do you realize that "our real spiritual existence" is subjective? You believe in one version of the postulation of an afterlife while there are more than 4,200 other versions. Why is yours any more real than the others? And why should we indulge in such wishful thinking despite lack of evidence of it's existence? This life is the only thing that is guaranteed. Here and now. It would be a more profitable venture if we focused on making the best of what we have now in this present time because this is the only thing that is guaranteed. Don't you think? |

adjoviomole: Have you tried giving your life to christ and see if its actually true or not? Have you tried giving your life to Mohammed to see if it is true or not I have tried and I am more than certain that heaven and hell is real... Do you have any proof of this? Since you don't believe in God,you don't have to be scared of hell. But der is something I would have loved you do. There are over 4,200 gods. I do not believe in any of them including yours. You believe in only one. The odds are not on your side Why don't you keep an open heart and just try God by asking him to reveal himself to you if truly God exist... If you are sincere my friend, God will reveal himself to you, he loves you more than anyone will. Please give it a try before you conclude. Please you have nothing to lose just ask him to reveal himself to you if truly he exist. Thanks and may God bless you. I do not need god. Tell your god to heal all the sick people in the world and eradicate disease which it created then I will take it serious. Until then, it will continue being treated as non existent May Satan bless you |

So make your choice and live your life bro. The problem is that your god threatens to burn people in hell just for not believing that Jesus is his son. Also, your fellow Christians go around threatening people to believe in this god without evidence or go to hell |

No one can say they don't know what is right from what is wrong. So this people will be judged according to their works on earth be it good or bad. Of course na If we will all be judged by our works then what is the use of preaching or accepting Jesus? |

Seun: This is why atheists are sometimes overconfident that God doesn't exist. If God existed, people wouldn't have to use deception to hype him.
John Lennon made that statement in 1966. He was shot in 1980. That's 14 years later. If God killed him for that statement, why wait 14 years?
There's no evidence that he ever made that statement. Go ahead and search for it. It's just another religious lie. Also, he was 75 years old.
First of all, he died of AIDS, not lung cancer in 1990 after coming out as HIV-positive in 1989. His death was inevitable due to the lack of treatment options for HIV/AIDS at the time. Also, there's no evidence that he did what you said he did. Also, that's not even blasphemous.
The titanic was not built by one man. There were thousands of people involved and many of them must have been faithful Christians. The fact that the man's name was not mentioned should have aroused your suspicion. Also, there were thousands of people on the boat when it sunk. Many of them must have been devout Christians. Are you saying that God killed thousands of his followers just to punish that unknown man?
1. There's no evidence that she met Billy Graham 1 week before her death. 2. "I don't need your Jesus" is not blasphemy. Millions of people have lived to a ripe old age after saying things that are far worse. 3. She died of a drug overdose, which is very common for famous musicians.
"Don't stop me; I'm going down all the way, down the highway to hell" is not blasphemous. It's not even referring to God or the Christian hell at all. Those kind of lyrics are very common in rock music.
1. The is no evidence that this story ever happened. Anyone can make up such stories and send them to strangers. 2. Why would a mother allow her daughter to enter a car that's being driven by a drunk person? That's incredibly stupid, to say the least. 3. If a car that was being driven by a drunk person crashed, isn't it more reasonable to assume that their drunkenness is what caused the crash? 4. Do you really want to portray God as a person who would kill a group of friends because of what just one of them said? Don't you think it's bad for God's image?
1. There is no evidence that Christine Hewitt ever made that statement. Go ahead and search for it. It's evil to smear a dead person's name. 2. Richard Dawkins once said that, "The God of the Old Testament is arguably the most unpleasant character in all fiction: jealous and proud of it; a petty, unjust, unforgiving control-freak; a vindictive, bloodthirsty ethnic cleanser; a misogynistic, homophobic, racist, infanticidal, genocidal, filicidal, pestilential, megalomaniacal, sadomasochistic, capriciously malevolent bully." He is 75 years old and still going strong. THREAD CLOSED |

THE ALMIGHTY GOD
Memorise : For the scripture saith unto Pharaoh, Even for this same purpose have I raised thee up, that I might shew my power in thee, and that my name might be declared throughout all earth.- Romans 9:17
Read: Exodus 5:1-4
5:1 And afterward Moses and Aaron went in, and told Pharaoh, Thus saith the Lord God of Israel, Let my people go, that they may hold a feast unto me in the wilderness.
5:2 And Pharaoh said, Who is the Lord, that I should obey his voice to let Israel go? I know not the Lord, neither will I let Israel go.
5:3 And they said, The God of the Hebrews hath met with us: let us go, we pray thee, three days' journey into the desert, and sacrifice unto the Lord our God; lest he fall upon us with pestilence, or with the sword.
5:4 And the king of Egypt said unto them, Wherefore do ye, Moses and Aaron, let the people from their works? get you unto your burdens.
MESSAGE :
God is the creator of Heaven and earth. He is the Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, the first and last, the one who knows all things and can do all things. All power in Heaven and on earth belongs to Him, which is why He is called the Almighty God. Though it is not possible for man to fully comprehend God, but a better understanding of His creative power, wisdom and authority can be made visible by considering the works of His hands according to Psalms 8:3-4:
“When I consider thy heavens, the work of thy fingers, the moon and the stars, which thou hast ordained; what is man, that thou art mindful of him? And the son of man, that thou visitest him?”
Consequent to the almightiness of God, whenever He says yes, one cannot help but wonder why anyone would try to oppose Him. But from time immemorial, human beings have been found in opposition to the Almighty God, all to their own detriment. Striving against God is the fruitless opposition of the ungodly to God’s will and purpose and to the struggle of the righteous as they seek to obey God’s commandments.
Many so-called Christians today are equally striving against God by holding a worldview that is contrary to the Word of God and by their sinful words and immoral actions. Incidentally, some are ignorantly striving against God like Apostle Paul in Acts 26:14
“And when we were all fallen to the earth, I heard a voice speaking unto me, and saying in the Hebrew tongue, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me? It is hard for thee to kick against the pricks.”
It does not matter who anybody may do, if God says yes, no one can say no. God says in Isaiah 46:10
“…. My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure.”
Also Proverbs 19:21says :
“There are many devices in a man’s heart; nevertheless the counsel of the Lord, that shall stand.”
Do not resist the Holy Spirit, or be found arguing with God. Don’t ever try to attack God’s people or practice unbelief, lest you be found guilty of striving against God.
PRAYER POINT : Father, please don’t let me ever be found in opposition to your Word in Jesus’ name.
BIBLE IN ONE YEAR : Jeremiah 38:7-40:16; Psalms 56 |

But you should consider that I spend some money going around and also spend on recharge cards to clarify issues on phone and make the deal possible! The only time he spends for transport is when the deal is set and we are going to conduct the seminar! Don't you think I deserve more for my effort? You are a marketer. That is his sharing formula and N10,000 of N30,000 is fair enough. I would advice you focus getting more clients. Building wealth is not about making big money at once. It is really about putting kobos together. Take a look at vicks lemon plus and baba blue. They retailed at 1 for N5, imagine how much profit the manufacturers make off one. Probably below N1 and yet they sell millions daily. Don't be greedy. Get more clients and your commissions will also increase. Good luck |
