I do not know why theists keep asking this question.

Atheists should be the ones asking theists who seem to model themselves after a barbaric, unforgiving, psychopathic, maniacal and savage god.

Agriculture › Re: What Can Be Grown In The North That Can Not Be Grown In The South? by hahn(m): 10:09am On Sep 09, 2016
It is not exactly about what can't be grown it is more about the culture.

The Northerners are into farming but Southerners are not. Imagine here in Ogun state where the land is very fertile and the omo oniles are more interested selling off the land for real estate. Thousands of hecters of fertile land, their ancestors were cocoa and kolanut farmers, all sold to real estate companies with one big space purchased by RCCG for their tithe and offering business. Ogun state has the capacity to feed the whole country but most youths here won't go into that.

Most things can grow here. There is a cotton tree somewhere in my hood. I was surprised to see it when I first came here.

You said l cherry picked! cheesy

Ok let us go.....I bought a kilo of rice in 2013 for 90ksh and l bought the same quantity few days ago for 95ksh. I know how much my folks back home are now buying rice.

The cabbage l used to buy way back in 2013 for N300 at Ojota market(which is not far from Mile 12 market where most of farm produce from the North end up in Lagos) is what l presently buy for 40ksh in open markets here in Nairobi. With the increase of price of petrol between then and now, l doubt if l can still get that size for N300 because Nigerian businesses are good at linking their prices to increase in fuel price.

Going by the present exchange rate, Kenyans are paying about N360 per litre for petrol but the irony is that bus fares are cheaper in Kenya than in Nigeria not to talk of domestic flights as one can do 45mins for $30 while a 60mins flight cost $40 which is like from Lagos to Enugu but the cheapest booking l got from Arik Airline for that route on Wednesday was N26,745!

We have been paying the same rent for the past 4 years (rents are paid monthly) and last year the Kenya Power cut down the tariffs to give users especially low consumers of electricity a lower power bills. We both know what is on board in Nigeria! cheesy
Most people who have not lived outside Nigeria will never get it.

Most Nigerians cannot imagine a year of constant power supply and do not know what it means to get tap water from the government. We build our own boreholes.

Can you create a thread for Nigerians who want to migrate to Kenya?

I swear naija don tire me. The noise from my gen is driving me crazy angry

If only you have understanding, you will know what to say and when to say.

If you know nothing about Law and grace i am not sure you would make any sense from cherry-picking scriptures.

What do you mean by "nothing"? False promises? undecided

The psychological cushion you claimed comes from theism is better than no cushion at all. Your fellow atheists know how much it has helped a lot of people who were without hope. how it has brought a lot of healing(even when you explain/reason them away).
Still doesn't make it real. You believe Yahweh is great, some believe in Zeus. It doesn't make either of them real. That is the point here

At least it did that. The peace and joy that godliness has ensued is unquantifiable compared to a life without God.
Lol. Anyone can lie to himself. Only theists take it an extra mile by believing the lie.

Well, whatever makes you happy. Just acknowledge it isn't real. That's all smiley

Truth be told Nigeria is lagging behind some other African Countries in some key aspects.
Sarcasm bro.

Nigeria is really more underdeveloped than other African countries but a lot of Nigerians will argue just because they have never traveled out.

Health › Re: Are Human Beings The Only Species That Drinks Another Species Milk? by hahn(m): 12:38pm On Sep 06, 2016
As far as we know, humans are the only animals to drink another species milk regularly, but only a small proportion of humans have the lactase enzyme. Cats and dogs are often seen taking delight in a serving of milk, though I'd rather not consider the consequences

In Kenya, your sim card even with an outdated phone brand like Nokia 3310 you can use it to receive international transfers like Moneygram, WesternUnion, Worldremit etc and go to a kiosk near you to cash out the transfer without going near a bank.

Your phone number can be linked to a Visa card without having a bank account and you go the chemist or kiosk selling provisions near you, top up your line and whatever money is in your line, reflects on your Visa card and you can shop online such as Amazon, pay for international flight tickets, buy Skype subscriptions......wherever there is a Visa logo.

If am low on cash and a friend or relative outside the Country can send me as little as $10 (N4,000) from an App straight to my phone number. I do not need to cash out the money as I can go to a supermarket that have a code for payment, l buy meat, ewedu, okra, pepper, semolina, tomatoes, bread, milk, onions, eggs, l then go to the till and the total sums up as N3,700. I will then send the N3,700 from my phone to the supermarket's code, we both get sms alerts verifying the transactions and l am charged nothing for the transaction...I go home with my shopping! cheesy

Is that currently available in Nigeria?
Spiritually tongue

None of those people can help him.

God only decides:

Miracle workers are not magicians,
It's the Spirit of God that works through them.

God owns our souls,
If we humble ourselves and seek Him,
He MIGHT be intreated.

But going for it,
With a nonchalant attitude,
Will get you nothing from God.

God is to be feared.
His ministers to be respected.

You hardly could attach the title 'pastor' to their names.

An you would expect the God they serve to come to your aid,
Having downgraded his servants so low,
As your errand boys.

And will God not punish you for this?
He will of course,
Unless you repent.

Do things the right way and be considered.

Malachi 1
14 But cursed be the deceiver, which hath in his flock a male, and voweth, and sacrificeth unto the Lord a corrupt thing: FOR I AM A GREAT KING, saith the LORD of hosts, and my name is dreadful among the heathen.

1 Samuel 2
30 Wherefore the LORD God of Israel saith, I said indeed that thy house, and the house of thy father, should walk before me for ever: but now the LORD saith, Be it far from me; for them that honour me I will honour, and they that despise me shall be lightly esteemed.

Below is the mammoth crowd at PH stadium last Saturday during Kumuyi's visit.
The number of people outside the stadium exceeded those inside that you see.

Your hate means nothing.

God worked great miracles.

This is derailing the thread o! But to get an Mpesa account, you need to be on ground to buy a Safaricom sim card and have it registered with your International passport, after which also you register for your Mpesa account which is also your phone number and you get a PIN (which you are advised to change to your choice of combination), you are now ready to receive payment but how do you cash out if you are not on ground?

If you have your personal person in kenya, he/she can get and register an airtel sim, also register it for Airtel money likewise get a Visa card linked to it and have the sim and card sent to you. You tell your Kenyan clients to send payment to that Airtel number using ONLY their Airtel money line NOT sending from their Mpesa account. Once anyone sends the payment through their airtel money account to you, you will receive an alert notifying the amount is now in the sim and can be withdrawn from any ATM in Nigeria that has the Visa logo or you can use it for online payment that accepts Visa card.

I hope this helps.
Extremely helpful. I'll probably just come over myself and see how things are during my vacation soon.

Next stop, Kenya!
