True.

If god existed we wouldn't need to believe it.

It would have been as natural as works of nature.

We would know smiley

people don't believe what you explain to them, people believe what they choose to believe. choosing to believe that GOD does not exist does not stop him from existing.
Believing god exists doesn't mean it exists

imagine someone saying that miracles does not exist, maybe from a logical point of view, you are right, but the truth is on the realistic perspective miracles exist

Nice thread johny, this is like the aftermath of what i'm looking for. I'm actually very interested in how our sense of being got stomped upon. What actually transpired when both races came in contact. We had our social systems and institutions in place, how did they got trumped upon. Obviously they won and the aftermath is what we are seeing today, but another point of reason is the asian countries, who despite being defeated; retained their culture and religion and are still even more developed than us.
I know the slave trade did a lot of damage to our self esteem, but we really failed our ancestors.
I'll start my research when i have time.

They can't even put gas in my car for 1 week.

The only online job i know is drop shipping, i just sit at home and make millions of $ every year.

Drop shipping works on EBay, Amazon, Bonanza, Etsy,Trademark, Poshmark

This only works in countries that have a strong online store where people sell their items, example is EBay and Amazon.
Konga and Jumai are just useless
I swear. Their affiliate program is full of sh1t

It is either you believe in Him, enjoy His Grace and live, or continue to disbelieve...

The Choice is Yours...
Haha. I should believe in a psychotic, child killing maniac? NO thanks.

Keep believing in it if you like but remember that you are also going to the Islamic hell fire and, trust me, Allah doesn't play. Not only will you and your family who believe in Jehovah burn in the Islamic hell, you will have bombs strapped to yourselves and blown up into tiny particles daily.

For people like you who believe in hell fire, there is no hope for you. If you believe in YOUR god, the other god will send you to it's own hell fire.

Oboy!

Give me an example of evil.
Killing two people for simply lying about how much they made is evil. Obviously that verse was created so people could continue giving their wealth to the church.

Murdering all the women and children in Sodom and Gomorrah is evil

Killing everyone on earth, including women and children, during Noah's flood is evil.

All executions are barbaric, so what's the point?

God hates sin, and the reward of sin is death. God approve death as a reward for wickedness. It is God (not Christians) who kills, gives life, and do whatever He pleases.

If you have any problem with that, go to Heaven and get Him arrested if you can.

However, if you as a Christian, a Muslim or a Atheist kills, you would be jailed on earth. If God kills, NOTHING will happen.

Darkness is the absence of Light. Evil is what is left when God withdraws from that which He created and adjudged good!
God created evil

We humans suffer from the effects of evil

Whatever evil happens in this world is god's responsibility

Since it is all knowing, why did it create evil, something it knows is bad, only to "withdraw" from it?

That doesn't make it any less responsible for the evil it has created

Behold therefore the goodness and severity of God: on them which fell, severity; but toward thee, goodness, if thou continue in his goodness: otherwise thou also shalt be cut off.

Romans 11:22

We cant choose one and censor the other. Yes God is Love; He also is the Judge. It is interesting how folks think Love implies no correction, no chastisement for wrong doing and no intense punishment when and where it is deserved!

God gave life, it belongs to Him hence He can take it when He deems fit.

NOBODY can change this, a million posts/threads on NL by theophobes notwithstanding!
God created good and evil so it is responsible for every good AND EVIL on earth

It is very simple logic

Op, I am interested in reading about how the African intellect was stomped by the introduction of the Abrahamic religions on our soil.

I personally feel that our ignorance of the history of Islam and Christianity plays a huge role in the acceptance of these ideas by Africans. Plus the slavery that came with it.

Someone should create a thread about it abeg.

Singing the War Song of an Atheist Priest
In the last years of the 17th century, as Europe continued its slow recovery from 140 years of religious war, a young man named Jean Meslier became a Catholic priest even though he didn’t believe in God. He did so because his parents wanted him to, and because he felt he could do more to help people in need from inside the church than outside. During the course of 40 years as a priest, Meslier’s atheism and his contempt for all religion deepened. He felt that the Catholic Church made people subservient in his parish, that believing and saying things that weren’t true was unworthy, and that more misery and fear flows from religious belief than comfort and inspiration. But he felt trapped in his job, unable to be honest about his views for fear of arrest and execution. So Meslier did his priestly duties every day serving the poor and sick, giving homilies, burying the dead, and performing baptisms and funerals. By night he then returned to his room and worked on his magnum opus: the first book-length work in Europe written from an explicitly atheist perspective with an author’s name on it. And what a name it was a priest in the Holy Catholic Church. He wrote it for his parishioners, then left it for them to find upon his death. It remains one of the most astonishing, provocative, and moving works in the history of atheism.
