Theists do not believe in dinosaurs. Especially Christians. But they do believe in talking snakes, talking donkeys, a man living in the sky, a man dying for their sins in ancient Israel, that they can actually drink the blood(zobo) and eat the flesh of Jesus(bread) during holy communion, believe in witches and wizards and that an all loving god created hell to punish people for eternity

promise10: If what you wrote here is really the so-called intelligent way you think(like most atheists) then there is a BIG problem.
Suppose, we are arguing about zeus as a god, and someone challenges you to test the authenticity of it's supremacy. Even though you have tested zeus and you found it worthless, won't you go again and now show the whole world OPENLY that zeus is fake.
You said you have been to lord choosen before with barely NO evidence, even when you want people to believe with evidences. Yet, you are avoiding a challenge thrown OPENLY at you,of which if you give it a try you will now let the world know that miracles are fake. But yet, you still choose to be running around a circle while at the same time trying to shove your NON EVIDENT lord choosen experiences.
Later you start screaming; "Religion cannot stand "PROVE IT".
If religion doesn't stand "prove it" and at the same time your lord choosen experience can't stand "prove it". Doesn't that show it is all the same??
Yet, you want me to accept a belief that you experienced at lord's choosen.
At the end of the day, you start shouting "SLAVE MENTALITY!!!!!".

promise10: Yea, because christianity is full of love.
But, I WONDER how blind you might be, not to see @kingebukasblog challenging hahn to test the authenticity of lord chosen miracles. If he is sincere enough, then he should just end this thread for now, take up the challenge, observe the miracles with the HD video camera @kingebukasblog gave him as one of the items needed for the observation and then post his observations.
Just stop all this delusions and face fact!
You are looking for a way to prove miracles to be false, yet you foolishly ignored the challenge thrown at @hahn by @kingebukasblog. It is so shameful! I once told Bubu that I used to attend Lord's chosen at Ijesha and I once sat down at the last row of the church. None of the people who came for "deliverance" there got healed. And Muoka was there They were all sitting down on the ground till the end of the service and ended up going back home even worse than they came. With extra disappointment. Kingebukasblog, however, said I was lying. In Lord's Chosen, when Muoka is preaching, it gets to a point where he asks everyone to close their eyes and raise up their hands whenever they hear a particular "sin" they commit. No one is permitted to open their eyes. Then he goes on to pray that all your sins are all gone etc. One part I like about Muoka though is when he says, before offering, "If you got your money via illegal means do NOT put it in the offering bag". And even though he always goes on to say "but it if you put it in, go back home and continue to sin no more" I feel the guy. The purpose of this thread is simple. You claim to be "born-again" and it is written in the bible that god will do miraculous things through you. Heal the sick, raise the dead etc. If it truly works, then let's go to Igbobi. Shikena |

ayoku777: And what's your definition of "meaniful or useful information" ?
This is what Jesus said;
John 10:10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I AM COME THAT THEY MIGHT HAVE LIFE (ZOE) and that they might have it more abundantly.
ZOE is the "God-kind" of life.
Jesus Christ came to give us the "God-kind of life" and you don't consider that information useful and meaniful?
What could be more meaningful and useful than the knowledge and understanding of how to have the God-kind of life - How to be like our Heavenly Father in power, purpose, principles and personality?
The Father is the most important person or "thing" in all of creation, and teaching us how to be like Him is the most meaningful and useful information anyone can give someone else. And if it's not to you, then your definition of "meaniful and useful" is greatly misplaced and grossly misappropriated.
To me, what Jesus Christ brought is the most meaningful and useful information anyone can give. And that is all that would truly count and matter when all the chips are down.
Shalom God himself came down to earth and all he could talk about was having "life"? What about the one we already have? Why didn't enlighten us on how to prevent disease, war and famine? Why didn't he try to gives us ideas on how to live in peace? |
Christianity Etc › Re: The Son Of God(or God) Came To Earth Cant Read Or Write by hahn(m): 8:43pm On Aug 08, 2016 |
ayoku777: Jesus Christ came into this world to, among other things, show us how to live. And to effectively do that, He needed not to take advantage of His innate divinity privileges.
If He had used His innate divinity privileges, He wouldn't be able to tell us that we can do what He did. Because we would just say, "Well, You're the Word of God and you created all things, that's why you can do all that."
So that was why even though Jesus is the Word of God and the Begotten Son of God, He laid aside His innate divinity privileges, and walked among us as the Son of man.
Philippians 2v6 - (Jesus) Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:
7 But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, AND WAS MADE IN THE LIKENESS OF MEN:
So Jesus lived and walked among us like a man.
He ate and drank like a man.
Matthew11:19 -The Son of man came eating and drinking, ...
He got tired and slept like a man.
Mark 4:8 And he was in the hinder part of the ship, ASLEEP ON A PILLOW: and they awake him, and say unto him, Master, carest thou not that we perish
He felt pain and sorrow like a man.
Matt26:38 - Then saith he unto them, My soul is exceeding sorrowful, even unto death: tarry ye here, and watch with me.
He read and studied and increased in wisdom like a man.
Luk 2:52 And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favour with God and man.
Even the miracles He performed, He didn't do any until after He had fasted and prayed for the power of the Holy Spirit, just like we can.
Luk 4:1 And Jesus being full of the Holy Ghost returned from Jordan, and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness,
14 And Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit into Galilee: and there went out a fame of him through all the region round about.
Jesus Christ laid aside His innate divinity privileges in His earthly ministry and walked among us as the Son of man, seeking and depending on the leading and power of the Holy Spirit for His daily life, like every man should.
He did this to show us how to live and walk. That was why He could tell us confidently that;
...verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father. (John 14:12)
He could say this because He did everything He did by the power of the Holy Spirit, which we can also seek and have.
The only thing Jesus did in His earthly ministry that no one else can do, is His death for our sins. And that's because Jesus alone is the LAMB OF GOD slain from the foundation of the earth.
Rev 13:8 And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.
But aside from His death as the Lamb of God for our sins, we can do the works that He did, because He laid aside His innate divinity privileges, and walked among us as a man. That was why He grew and learnt like a man.
Shalom God himself came to earth and was unable to give any meaningful or useful information. It is truly incompetent and mediocre |

Let your hand be with me, and keep me from harm so that I will be free from pain." And God granted his request. The prayer actually sounds nice Too bad, prayer doesn't work

CORRUPTIONNigeria's most blamed reason for the situation of the Nigerian economy. Even before the devil. Or sin. Ask any Nigerian, "why is Nigeria like this?" and the you will most likely hear the word CORRUPTION. "Our leaders are corrupt!". Even our leaders have testified themselves that they are corrupt. Like Rotimi Amaechi once did when he was steal still under the PDP as Rivers State Governor back in 2013. You can refresh your memory about that comment @ http://www.vanguardngr.com/2013/12/steal-nigerians-dont-stone-us-amaechi/. My favorite quote in the article is Rivers State Governor, Rotimi Amaechi, revealed at the weekend that political office holders steal state funds because Nigerians do not stone them. “Corruption” is NOT the basic problem facing Nigeria.
“Fighting corruption” is NOT the solution to Nigeria’s challenges.
“Corruption” is in fact a symptom of Nigeria’s real problems, and not the problem itself.
Quoted from https://www.nairaland.com/3145475/dear-nigerians-corruption-not-problem After much consideration on the subject, "CORRUPTION", I have been able to come to the conclusion that: - Every corrupt leader was once a citizen - Every/Most Nigerian citizens is/are corrupt - If more citizens are less corrupt, we will be able to produce less corrupt leaders Most people will disagree and say, "since corruption starts from the head, everyone else will follow suit". That is one analogy that has been repeated over and over. But why don't we try another analogy? The one where, "if the soil is properly cultivated, the seeds will be able to produce better crops". The average Nigerian family unit battles a myriad of problems such as poverty, poor enlightenment, poor knowledge of our history, lack of access to basic amenities etc. I agree that if the government was to provide adequate infrastructure, Nigeria will surely be elevated from it's present status. Just imagine not having to worry about buying fuel for your generator, like I am as I type this LOL, or knowing that you are guaranteed to get quality healthcare when you or a family member fall ill, or if the naira equaled the dollar ie N1=$1! oboy! Despite all the trips our "leaders" have taken outside of the country, they never seem to be compelled to replicate the standards in these foreign countries, the developed ones at least, when they come back home. Same with a lot of Nigerians in the diaspora. Maybe, it is not really a question of "they don't want to do it?" and maybe more of "they haven't been compelled to do so by the citizens they are supposed to be "leading". Some ways Nigerians aid corruption and create an environment where it thrives and it's effects are being witnessed are: - We don't demand more from our leaders: Since I was born, NEPA/PHCN have never ever keep the power supply for 24 hours. If they have, I can't remember. But still, when NEPA restore power bring the light for a few hours, maybe after complete blackout for 2 weeks, you will still hear Nigerians say, "at least they tried". The one wey they vex me na when dem shout "UP NEPA" We no dey pay NEPA bill again? Is what is supposed to be a service, a very abysmally poor one, now a privilege that we are supposed to be thanking and patting NEPA on their backs for their inability to provide constant electricity? https://surestakes.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/08/power-promises.jpgThis spreads to ALL sectors of the economy. A governor is unable to pay salaries and instead of people to speak up and criticize these politicians and even demand a resignation, you will still hear "he is a man of the people" when he stops by the roadside to buy roasted corn or boli - Misplaced priorities: "Lie lie! An Ibo man will never rule this country". "Hausas and Yorubas have ruled, now it is OUR turn". "He is our brother. Let him steal after all they stole too when they were there". Etc etc When did the quality of a leader go from standards like integrity, passion, antecedents, experience, personal achievements, game plan etc to his tribe, his religion, amount of money he has stolen in the past or his family name? No need to say much here. People who promote tribalism, religious bigotry and mediocrity shouldn't complain about not having constant electricity or a national currency is currently in search of crude oil. - Religious and tribal bigotry: "HA! No talk am o! My god is better than yours". "In my church we worship Jesus directly". "Do not play with the holy name of allah". "We have to pray to god". "Governor declares two days of fasting and praying throughout the state so god can increase the IGR for this year". "State government hires pastors/imams to pray for the nation". And other religious nonsense. When will we ever get to the point where we ask, "Is my god reliable?" "Do we need to work or just pray so our problems will go away?". "Should we come up with strategies and consult experts to look into our economy or sponsor pilgrims on holy trips?". "Does it really matter if the guy is not from my state?". Is he/she the right person for the job?" etc https://surestakes.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/08/IMG-20160218-WA010.jpg- Always looking for shortcuts: The average Nigerian finds it difficult to form a queue. Even at banks and BRT lanes where queues are mandatory, Nigerians will still try to jump the queue, or stand outside of the queue altogether, and get to the counter or a sit in the bus before people who got there first. Where exactly are we rushing to sef? I can only imagine how many children wrote the recently concluded WAEC exams in "special" centers. Proudly paid for by their parents These same people will still go to church and give testimonies on "the good things god has done in my life". Hahahahahahaha Put these same kind of people in position of power and what you find are people more interested in getting to the top without having to produce tangible results. Just "share the money", from the one you have stolen, and you will become a governor in no time - Not being aware of their rights: We all know that our education system is a mess but it still beats me how most Nigerians still have no copy of "The constitution" in their library, if they have one. Our ignorance of our rights is a major reason why we do not bother to exercise it. - Complaining of problems instead of searching for solutions: We are still unable to provide constant electricity for ourselves. Seeking and researching alternative sources will greatly reduce our dependency on the national grid. As citizens, we should research newer, innovative and cheaper ways of building electricity, managing our waste, boosting our economy etc You can check this thread for more on how to create your own personal inverter system @ https://www.nairaland.com/3177395/poor-power-supply-how-generate- We praise big thieves and burn small thieves: It is a well known fact that if you should steal a cube of maggi at any market close to you, the chances of you getting burnt are very high. However, if you run for public office, steal billions meant for infrastructural development, keep the citizens in abject poverty and share bags of rice during your election/re-election period, you will be hailed like a king and people will flood nairaland to call you their brother or even their hero for a job well done https://surestakes.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/08/burn-small-thieves.jpgEtc Add your own, I'll probably think of more.
