Politics › What Exactly Is The CBN New Policy? by hakeem4(op): 1:51pm On Dec 17, 2020 |
I got a mail from TransferWise saying that they’d not be able to send money to my NGN account again because of the new central bank policy. We’ve got some news — from December 16th, you won't be able to send new transfers to NGN.
We’re doing this because of the Central Bank of Nigeria’s recent regulatory update. It means that we can no longer offer sending money to Nigerian Naira with our current set-up.
We're working hard on reopening this route, but we don’t have an estimate for you yet. We'll let you know as soon as transfers to NGN are available again.
We’re sorry about this. If you have any questions, please reach out to our

JayDaily: Hey guys,
I stumbled into a real paying investment January 2019 and so far good I want to reinvest into property...
When I mean a villa,
Im planning to build a kind of structure that would contain a standard fuel station, and shopping mall both facing the road, and a residential area behind, I have 7 plots of land in Ikom Eman @Uyo, (capital city of Akwa Ibom State) very close to the Ekom Iman round About, and have no idea if this land can carry the structures I'm talking about.
let's say I have a capital of 100m as a start for this.
im pretty open to any ideas. Well yes. It can and no it cannot. The reason why I would not give a Sesame Street answer is because everything actually depends on the design of what ever you want to build. But 100m is quite good for a start |

tbtosine: sorry to ask you this Mr.Canada. Are you doing well before you travelled to Canada ? Why don't you come up with something better than this. You complain about data price and you use same data to upload video on YouTube. Do you know how much that will cost you in Nigeria and how the network can be frustrating ? You get what you paid for in Canada and enjoy the services to the fulliest. Reverse is the case in Nigeria here. What is the essence of paying cheap electricity bill if i cant enjoy it ? Why paying cheap school fee if there is no job after school ? Why paying cheap data charges if i can't enjoy a video call freely on 4G network ?
Please do me a favour. Just try as much as possible to help me find my way over there and leave the rest of the story for the gods. Please am begging you. Biko. You are not getting me, I am currently in Nigeria, I am not saying nigeria is better than Canada. |

Science/Technology › Re: New Specie Of Pit Viper, Devil-Eyed Frog & Others Found In Bolivian Andes by hakeem4(m): 7:54am On Dec 15, 2020 |
Pelecius: The problem starts with what is evolution, clearly defining it. Text book will give us the definition of change in allele frequency over time, leading to biodiversity. But that was not what Darwin proposed. He used evolution as a "scientific" alternative to special creation, that is; all life forms come from a single life form with mutation and natural selection as the mechanism that brings diversity (which must included increasing complexity, the thorniest challenge to Darwinian evolution) The problem now is that the mechanisms which evolutionists trumpet as FACTS, mutation, adaptation, natural selection, genetic drift etc are real FACTS but relating these facts to Darwinian evolution subtly that over millions of years, a complex organism like man will arrive from a simpler organism such as a microbe is a fallacy of equivocation.
Darwin was not aware of the complexities of the 'simplest' cell, the knowledge of genetics and information, the irredicible complexities of biochemical path ways of organisms etc. But his theory then seem to fit the then observation of how species are formed through those mechanisms I stated earlier. Now, the theory has become the main paradigm and any dissident is labeled stupid, evidence Denise, etc and no alternative (non materialistic) is welcomed even with the failed predictions about fossils, such as order of complexities, missing transitional fossils, constant reinterpretation of anomalies so as to keep faith with the theory, etc. Despite challenges of it failing to account for mechanisms that lead to increase in complexities (developing limbs for example), origin of the so called first cell, origin of information, why different gender, etc. Now you are turning this thread to a scientific class. Origin of the so-called first cell, and origin of information These questions have nothing to do with evolution by natural selection. You are probably mistaking Abiogenesis for evolution. Why do we have different genders? First of asexual animals rarely get more complex than worms. they just can't compete with the evolution of sexually reproducing organisms, because the ability to mix genes from separate lineages means evolution has more to work with. Then there are hermaphroditic species like snails and slugs. But with most complex animals, it is advantageous to specialise. Males and females have certain characteristics (structural and behavioural) that help with their particular role in reproduction, and by specialising into gender, means that individuals do not need to grow and maintain both sets of complete mechanisms, "just in case." Evolution is good at optimisation, and the separation into genders is simple to evolve that confers an advantage over any other form of reproduction. |

Pelecius: Evolution by natural selection? And you are slating him for calling them God's creation? What's the difference between you and him who attributed same discovery to different cause?
You may come with the elephant hurling "evolution is a PROVEN fact and only dumb folks deny it" People who do not accept the fact of evolution are either ignorant or plainly stupid |

hector: When u say "270 is actually a very big amount" I will like you to expatiate. let’s assume he earns 5.5k monthly after tax. And he pays 2k for rent, he’s left with with 3k5. He has other bills he’s likely to offset such as feeding, fueling is car, insurance, utility bills, clothing, shopping. (Let’s imagine he’s not owing any debt). Say he’s left with 1k5 and he plans to save 750 every month (which I know it’s very hard to do). And the remaining 750 he’s send to other family members with other issues. Back to your question. $270 can get you a very good television |
