Where do I start? Can you understand spiritual things? Though cannot fully put it in words but I will try. Every time I lift up a song to the Lord, proclaiming him as my righteousness his anointing floods me like a river. It keeps pouring on me even as I am typing this now. I must tell you that nobody is physically pouring anything on my head but I keep experiencing liquid like substance dropping on me with great intensity.

What about the coolest breeze of His presence blowing on me. Or should I talk about sparks of light I keep experiencing especially when I am meditating on his amazing love for me. l have so many more but let me stop here and wait for your mocking.
well I understand where you’re coming from, but what I can tell you is when next you have these type of feelings, we can take you for an EEG test , then we tell you what part of your brain is showing those electric patterns, and tell you how exactly you’re feeling which means it’s not god.

Anas09:
Pls outline the names of these 500 different gods and post where they promise eternal condemnation in hellfire in the Afterlife when their laws are disobeyed.
GRECO-ROMAN RELIGION
The ancient Greeks believed that people died and ended up in Hades, a gray and misty place where the lord of the dead ruled. Others believed in a paradise-like place called Olympic pantheon on Mount Olympus, where gods such as Zeus lived and decided the fate of humanity. The people

who lived a good life and were constantly in the minds of the living enjoyed sunny pleasures of the Elysium, those forgotten wandered eternally in the bleakness of Hades, while the wicked fell into dark pits called Tartarus. Although the gods decided the fate of every individual on earth, someone could control his fate through divination and sacrifices to them.

EPICUREANISM
This religion known as Epicureanism is approximately 300 years older than Christianity and it has an unclear number of believers in Greece and other parts of the world today. Unlike most other religions on the planet, Epicureanism believes in many gods, but none of them takes notice of what human

beings are up to. The believers here think that everything including their gods and souls is made up of atoms. Furthermore, according to Epicureanism, there is no afterlife, so nothing like reincarnation, heaven, or hell exists to them. When an individual dies, the believers here believe that the soul also dissolves and that becomes the end of them.

BAHAI

The Bahai is a religion made up of approximately seven million people. The believers here consider that the soul of a human being is eternal and good, and it is the work of every individual to draw closer to god. Unlike most other religions that have their own specific god,

the Bahai believe in one god, who has shown himself through all other religions in the world. According to Bahai followers, heaven and hell do not exist; the two are states of being either close to or far from god. The Bahai believe that most other religious groups are mistaken when they interpret heaven and hell to be physical places as opposed to seeing them as symbolic representations of distance from god.

JAINISM
The approximately 4 million Jainism followers believe in the existence of many gods and reincarnation until liberation, a liberation that is achieved through avoidance of bad karma and causing no harm. People who do not achieve liberation continue in the cycle of rebirth and some might even have to go through

eight hells of suffering before a rebirth. The eight hells get colder at every stage, and a soul passes through a lot of torture before getting another opportunity for rebirth, and another chance to reach liberation. Although it might take a very long time, liberated souls get a place among the gods.

SHINTO
Something weird about the Shinto is that the believers need not confess that they are Shinto believers in public. According to some old Japanese legends related to the Shinto, the dead enter a gloomy underground place called Yomi, where a river separates the dead and the living. The Yomi is

a place much like the Greek Hades, and the people here have a negative view of death and corpses. The followers of this religion believe in ancient gods and spirits called Kami, although they believe that some human beings can become kami after they die. According to the Shinto, people are naturally pure, and they can retain their purity and keep away from evil through some purification rituals.

shadeyinka:
Precisely, but Pascal's Wager details that
1. If there was no God eventually, you gain NOTHING because you wouldn't even exist as a concious personality
HOWEVER
2. If there was a God, your Loss is INFINITY great (eternity in torment).

In other words, Pascal's Wager gives you a mathematical means of rationally making Wise and Informed choice in a game of a coin with only one side.
pascal’s argument doesn’t hold any concrete evidence it can convince theist but I definitely think it can’t convince an atheist

Christianity EtcRe: Why You Should Not Take The Pascal's Wager And Become An Athiest by hakeem4(op): 6:41am On Feb 03, 2019
shadeyinka:
My personal views will take the argument off tangent to the discussion of the Pascal's Wager.

The Pascal's Wager is simple:
What happens if you are wrong for denying the existence of the Abrahamic God?

The above condition must first be settled before reapplying the Pascal's Wager again to a question like:
What happens if you are wrong for your choice of Religion to reach the Abrahamic God?
OR
What happens if you are wrong for acting contrary to the Will (SIN) of the Abrahamic God?
etc

For Atheists, the first condition suffices
. Now, mr Blaise pascal never suggested any god for us to believe.
What if there is no god at the end of the day, wouldn’t it mean I’ve lost the little chance for me to think for myself on earth

Christianity EtcWhy You Should Not Take The Pascal's Wager And Become An Athiest by hakeem4(op): 5:25pm On Feb 01, 2019
so, today I was having a conversation with some of my friends and one of us who is a theist made a statement “well I believe in god because at the end of the day if there is a god I would be save but if there is none, then I have nothing to lose.”
Then immediately I remembered about the Pascal's Wager. Now I think many theists just believe in god just in case there is a god at the end of the day so they would have nothing to lose. But I am sorry the actual truth is if you use the pascal wager you have a lot to lose
(1) The most prominent argument is that you tend to believe only ONE god exists. Now let’s look at it, there are many more religions and there would be many more gods! To rule Over these other religions. And there have also been more gods that do no longer exists. Now if you believe "your god" is the "right god" that will be very funny of you, what if there is a god at the end of the day and you chose the wrong one, you’re no better than an atheist who does not even believe in any and at the end of the day you end up in the same destination which the “right god” has set for people who don’t believe in him.
(2) countless number of people believe that there is an afterlife, a life where when you have left the earth you dine with your god. And most of these gods tend to make you believe that once you suffer here on earth you will enjoy in the afterlife. So, most people choose to suffer on earth so they can enjoy in the afterlife *tragic*
(3) thirdly, if you think there is a god, you will lose a lot of things. You lose the only ONE chance you had to live under the sun on this planet to enjoy yourself and think for yourself. Meaning You lived the one and only life you had, based upon a lie. If a Muslim, for instance, is wrong, he has lost all for instance their entire belief system, and most especially their morals.

I don’t think he’s hurting any religious group. Because most religious groups work based on faith and believe systems while the OP works based on evidence. So I think he’s right to tell the theist that “this is the way the world works , the world doesn’t work the way you think it should”

Jobs/VacanciesRe: Unemployment: How Have You Been Surviving After NYSC? by hakeem4(m): 6:34am On Jan 23, 2019
SAMBARRY:
If you're still a corper and you're carried away by the razzmatazz and the 1year freedom to explore without planning for life after NySC ,sorry is your name.so if I were you I will go and learn a hand skill that can generate business and consequently income for me.unfortunately I see a lot of childish and stupid new generation corpers that just spend all their time and money in beer parlor, naija bet, clubbing and things that will be taking away their money instead of adding to their money.

You go to your places of primary assignments Monday-wednesday and Friday excluding Thursday. So instead of galivating on Thursdays which is your free day on iiidiotic things why not go learn a skill you have interest in so that before you even finish your NTSC,you're already making your own money excluding the lousy and cheap alawee money that can bearly sustain even during NTSC.so gradually you grow your business and after NYSc your business Will have grown substantially

Now the in thing and now has become a cultural thing or an unwritten law is that after nysc, just join the bandwagon and go for masters.whether masters degree is your calling or not ,whether it fits into your goals and aspirations, sha go.if its not masters, they go for MBA. Meanwhile after the so called masters, they still go back into the labor market.now why did these people join the bandwagon of going for masters? Its because their parents pushed then to go into it and what they fail to realise is that if after nysc, you don't chart the course of your life your parents will just be pushing you here and there, they will say bolaji has masters you to go and do masters.whether its what you like or not, they'll just push you into it.so nysc is a time for introspectiion.its a time to sit down with yourself alone and talk to yourself. Tell yourself the hardcore truth.you know yourself better than your parents, wife or girlfriend or boyfriend. Ask yourself, now I'm a graduate.I went to school just like everybody, what do I want to do with my life, how can I survive after nysc with minimal or no help from my parents? How can I make money, what are my interests? Its not a time for you to be turning your vagina to business centre because daddy and mummy is not there with you because if you don't quickly GIve your self brain and make money for yourself, your parents will be making the decisions you're supposed to be making for yourself
this is one of the best post I’ve seen this year
