Hardmirror what a lovely article. I just want drop my own opinion about prayer. People who pray are actually suffering from Stockholm syndrome but they’re are not aware. Prayers do not actually work, but it makes the individual feel better.

Let me start with my definition of prayer. Which is a means of communicating with an omnipotent, omniscient and benevolent god up there in the sky.
While Wish is a feeling or a strong desire or hope for something that cannot or probably will not happen.

What is the difference between prayer and wish

The truth is god actually exist. But exists only in people’s mind. That means he’s a human imagination. God is what philosophy calls the god of the gaps , it’s the boundary between the known and the unknown.

This government keeps blaming people for their failures. I won’t be surprised if I hear it’s because of the fall of Timbuktu that’s why we have herdsmen and farmers clash.

stead modeling is verrrrrry simple. I know if three different methods used to model in staad but I prefer using the structure wizard model

What a lovely article. How does the government plan on distributing the Abacha loot without any data base to know the true unemployed Nigerians. I believe some members of the party/ or top civil servants have already shared the money amongst themselves. This government should just use this money to build infrastructures

just don’t stay idle you can do structural designs and pay an engineer to stamp it for you

Good morning.

Briefly, we'll be looking at steps in the design of solid floor slab.
Loading: Mainly dead loads (DL) and imposed or live loads (LL). Dead loads are permanent and fixed loads like self weight, finishes and fixed partitions etc. Live loads are movable and transient and depends on the use of the floor under consideration. While DLs are calculated, LLs are obtained from a load table ( Structural Designers Manual or Handbook)

The calculated loads are factored (for safety) and summed and a design load obtained; n = 1.4gk + 1.6qk where 1.4 is the safety factor applied to dead loads (gk) and 1.6 to live loads (qk)

Depending on whether the slab spans 1-way or 2-way and also the support conditions, bending moments (BMs) and shear forces (SFs) are calculated.

I'm aware of that. It's funny though but i'll rather use Orion and some other software say STAADS for steel. Exports from Prota details requires much more editing in AutoCAD than those from Orion. The only reason I would have preferred using Prota is the staircase detailing but unfortunately it's not giving the appropriate result (could be that I'm doing it wrongly though) but I'd rather design and detail it manually jor. No time.

yes I’ve noticed that protaslab detailing is tedious. But the steel is alright. While staad modelling is toooooooooooooooooo tedious
