Phones24ct Gold Blackberry Porsche P'9981 by hamsky(op):
I'm not a fan of blackberry but as a tecky I'll have to keep my mind open towards all kinds of gadgets. I came across this little thing of beauty (24ct gold BlackBerry Porsche P'9981) today and I'll like to know how many people will get this when it eventually comes to the Nigerian market. Ohh less I forget it cost a wopping £3,500 (5,565.27 USD)(875,473.05 NGN) to get one.

Beync: Someone said alah is the same as almighty God,its not true pls. The true God does not approve of physical war today. He said vengeance is for him even if anyone persecutes u. while allah say kills non believer and those who persecute u. While God said our fight is not of physical but against wicked spirit in the high place high places. If they said allah is God almighty they would believe in Jesus who is son of God but they believe mohamed son of allah. Where is the correlation? There is not link between light and darkness abeg.
Hope this answers your question after all Google wasn't designed by the Muslims

TroGunn: Please enlighten about the verses below. Source: http://www.thereligionofpeace.com/Quran/023-violence.htm

Quran (2:191-193) - "And slay them wherever ye find them, and drive them out of the places whence they drove you out, for persecution [of Muslims] is worse than slaughter [of non-believers]... but if they desist, then lo! Allah is forgiving and merciful.   And fight them until persecution is no more, and religion is for Allah."  (The historical context of this passage is not defensive warfare, since Muhammad and his Muslims had just relocated to Medina and were not under attack by their Meccan adversaries.  In fact, the verses urge offensive warfare, in that Muslims are to drive Meccans out of their own city (which they later did).  The use of the word "persecution" by some Muslim translators is thus disingenuous (the actual Muslim words for persecution - "idtihad" - and oppression - a variation of "z-l-m" - do not appear in the verse).  The actual Arabic comes from "fitna" which can mean disbelief, or the disorder that results from unbelief or temptation.  Taken as a whole, the context makes clear that violence is being authorized until "religion is for Allah" - ie. unbelievers desist in their unbelief).

Quran (2:244) - "Then fight in the cause of Allah, and know that Allah Heareth and knoweth all things."

Quran (2:216) - "Fighting is prescribed for you, and ye dislike it. But it is possible that ye dislike a thing which is good for you, and that ye love a thing which is bad for you. But Allah knoweth, and ye know not."  (Not only does this verse establish that violence can be virtuous, but it also contradicts the myth that fighting is intended only in self-defense, since the audience was obviously not under attack at the time.  From the Hadith, we know that this verse was narrated at a time that Muhammad was actually trying to motivate his people into raiding merchant caravans for loot).

Quran (9:29) - "Fight those who believe not in Allah nor the Last Day, nor hold that forbidden which hath been forbidden by Allah and His Messenger, nor acknowledge the religion of Truth, (even if they are) of the People of the Book, until they pay the Jizya with willing submission, and feel themselves subdued."  ("People of the Book" refers to Christians and Jews.  This was one of the final "revelations" from Allah and it set in motion the tenacious military expansion, in which Muhammad's companions managed to conquer two-thirds of the Christian world in the next 100 years.  Islam is intended to dominate all other people and faiths).

Quran (9:30) - "And the Jews say: Ezra is the son of Allah; and the Christians say: The Messiah is the son of Allah; these are the words of their mouths; they imitate the saying of those who disbelieved before; may Allah destroy them; how they are turned away!"

Quran (9:123) - "O you who believe! fight those of the unbelievers who are near to you and let them find in you hardness."
The verses you're referring to are very well showcased in the Qur'anic context though if misunderstood could be very misleading which is the main reason we have Boko haram claiming to fight for the sake of Allah with islamic verses of this sort. You can go through the image that comes with this post to see a very concise explanation of some the verses you've quoted above. I don't have enough time to explain all of them but I guess this is more than enough, that's why I said what I said earlier.

I don't understand why people with very little understand of a religion or any other subject blab whatever they think is right without being sure. Allah only means GOD in arabic so if you say that Allah is blood thirsty then its like saying Chineke (God in Igbo) is blood thirsty. I don't care what you guys think but there is no were in the Qur'an that commands the killing of christians or innocent people. If you can find it anywhere in the Qur'an let me know and I will convert to your religion.

woodcook: Mine was when I was in 3rd year, as usual then I always study during the break as if school was in session. That faithful Saturday, I went to a nearby secondary school (Urban Girls ) to study it was around 9am. When I was about leaving between 1pm and 2pm, I noticed two guys came around in bike and just at the entrance of the class as I was about stepping out one of the guys accosted me and requested for my id. Without suspecting anything I flashed my school ID and the guy grabbed it from me and claimed I had come around to smoke weed. Gosh, I was like you can see my bag and books and also I had my Bible in my bag. The guy was like they have orders to arrest anyone found in the premises, behold there were group of area boys playing football around and the so called officer just turned a blind eye towards them. They insisted I join them to the station to make a statement and that would be it. Well before I could say one more word this slap came from no where and I respectfully mounted the bike with them. Unfortunately for me I never had a phone through out my Uni days, then I saw it like an unnecessary distraction at that moment I wished I had one, since I was dead sure the bike was going to pass through my street to the station.No phone no help, so I found myself at the station with tear pouring down my eyes. When I got to the station the two fellas asked me to seat behind the counter and left to continue their raid. With teary eyes I was trying to explain to one of the female officer and that she should look at my bag and see that I was studying, behold another slap came from the officer standing next to the female officer, then I realized I was not supposed to stay anything but to sit put. Sitting down and sobbing like a baby filled with rage, there came one other guy, though not on duty, he actually saw me when they brought me. He asked if I have a phone I should call my people, I told him I don't have one so he took me out to a nearby house where they happened to have a business center. I called my friend and told him to call my uncle, since my dad was not in town. After sitting in the biz center for a while I got bored brought out my book and began to read and the officer that brought me to make call walked up to me and for the first time asked me what happened. I explained everything to him, he was mad, he was like that was not how to make money. He has been telling his colleagues to stop harrasing innocent people and he then asked me to leave. I told him I couldn't because the officers are with my student id. In the middle of the gist I saw my uncle drove in I went to meet him and he was like who arrested you I told him the guys have gone out,most of the officers in the station were like Dr. what brought you? My uncle told them they arrested his son who has gone to study the officers around were apologetic, when the guys with my id walked in, and they were told by their senior officer to hand me my id and apologize to me they did. On our way out they were like Dr. at least give us money for fuel for bringing your boy to this place. My uncle was furious and he told them to take me back to where they picked me in the first place, though I never told my uncle they slapped me lol. But my friend ended up giving them 200 naira without my uncle noticing. That evening I prayed for them because I was hurt and filled with rage. One week later one of them nearly got killed by group of area boys along the rail line in Aku street. I was pleased that he tasted what it feel like to be helpless if not for people around those guys would have killed him and his partner. his stupid partner bailed!

Suzuki SX4..........rock solid gear. Used this car to learn how to drive whilst I was in India and I noticed I had more muscle after a month of driving it because of the "apurka" gear and the windshield is designed in such way that you're very likely to crash into cars coming from the far right or left.

Nabilah: well, that's your opinion. I know can't eat gold, daimons and other precious stones. 1 BILLION NAIRA! HABA!
Tau lets do the maths: Lets divide 1billion by 365 days = 2.7million on food per day. Lets say he gets 150 guests per day which is very plausible considering the fact the he's the president + his 300 member household including workers, security men e.t.c which sums up to 450 people at least. Then divide 2.7million by 450people = N6088 per head on food daily which by presidential standard is quite fair. Hope this makes some sense cos I was surprised at first until i did the maths. I think most people find this ridiculous cos the media who found this out didn't care to justify how people many get catered for with the money. Mind you I'm not the presidents son or anything like that I just happen to understand how it works.

Nabilah: 1 billion Naira on food in year! e easy?
@nabilah: I don't see anything wrong if he spends 1billion naira per year on food after all its for his entire household including his guests and other workers so i kinda think its fair considering how generous Nigerians are with food.
