What the boy was trying to do is bad but I still pity him

Reminds me of an experience I had when I went to greet my sis in school, we slept off without closing the window, we woke up to a guy trying to get in after cutting the thin sheet covering the window. I was still asking jamb question asking who he was before we ran outside screaming notifying our neighbours, they came to check and the guy was still hiding at the back of the window probably waiting till they left. Thank God they combed everywhere, he was lucky to escape sha. I only saw he had a black glove on, later noticed he managed to take my purse that was on the cupboard near the window. After then I look at any guy I see in that area with suspicion.

For all we know the guy is out there singing her praise and she's her bashing him. It's her bed and now she wants sympathy for dissing another woman's son when she made the choice to be with him. His life is no ones business but his and hers because she chose him. Now that she doesn't want him she should humble herself and move on not pick holes in his life to justify how she feels. IMHO

I can't really fault that line of reasoning too. Although I don't think she has the intention of bashing him, probably wants more opinion or advice before making a decision. At the end of the day, it's her choice.

To me it's beyond love. No one knows the future, but we know the present. They both ain't getting any younger, both without stable jobs and the man still living off his brother. Looking beyond his past now, anyone can make mistakes as long as he has repented from such ways. Miracles don't happen to everyone, for him to succeed he must have some plans in place which the OP clearly didn't inform us about. Yes, he feels bad about his past, and then? Shouldn't he be looking for ways to dust up and take the reigns of his life at close to 40. He has a cab job now but I want to believe the OP would not feel so concerned if she sees he is making plans for even better stuffs. If he gets married now since his younger nephews are all married without a stable source of income how do they sustain themselves?
It's her choice to stay or leave.

You have answered your question, 'companionship', and it goes both ways. Every other role couples play can easily be gotten outside marriage but marriage if you are lucky to make the right choice affords you a stable companion who would be there for you through thick and thin and if God wishes you will spend your old age with.

The factors militating my decisions are many. Eg,

1 Job- I've decided to get a job preferably FG or NGO

2- sustainability -which one will be sustainable even after retirement.

3 Specialty with less patient contact

4 Closeness of the school to my residence... The only accredited school around is Intensive care, while nephrology and oncology are yet to be accredited though they are being employed with it.

5 Then TIME - i have decided to give it a year or two before applying.


How's your academics? Do you have anywhere you moonlight to offset some school expenses.?

Wow! I pray God guides you to make the right choice. There are many options to choose from. Did you later ask for advice from experienced nurses in the specialties you are interested in?

But why exactly is that a bad thing? The patient may not have felt comfortable taking some drug and expressed it to her daughter, who shared with you. Perhaps you could have asked her to speak to the doctor concerning her drugs. I've been prescribed Lexotan by my gynae in pregnancy and I informed her I wouldn't take it because the risks for me outweighed the benefits and she later agreed. I had a treatment and the nurse kept injecting me on one particular side till it bled and I had problems moving. Another nurse lost it when she saw it, shouting "but they taught us in school", conferred with doctor and changed my injection site.
I used to faithfully swallow every medicine handed to me until stuff happened and my relatives (consultant doctors) told me to question and research everything done to me and always ask for a 2nd opinion.

It becomes a bad thing when that relative doesn't know what he or she is saying. Some just do it to show off, I don't really understand why, when in fact they are very wrong. After proper explanation, she realized she was wrong.
It is good to ask about and read up about whatever treatment plan you are on.
