including the Ijebus although they were rebels.... It was the rebellion of the Ekitis and Ijeshas that led to the famous Kiriji war.
As for Oranmiyan... he ruled in Oyo Ajaka... not in the present day Oyo ile.
Oranmiyan was long dead before Oyo became an empire.

The Alaafin was the paramount ruler of Yoruba land, but, you might want to remove the Ijebus from that list, they were not really part of Yorubaland as such, they were more concerned about Lagos and the Seas than the hinterland, the hinterland Yorubas were also more concerned about the North than the Seas, the Ijebus really guarded the sea jealously.

You don't drive out the insurgents today, call the global media tomorrow, leave the day after and expect a different army which did not initially participate in the fight and so would not fully understand the fluidity of the operating security situation to take over and hold the town almost immediately for you. That is jus fooolishness. What for fhucck's sake is the role of Chad in the multinational operation then?? You have only liberated 3 or 4 towns close to the border, and you cannot hold these towns for some time??
