Meet Alhaji Alhassan Dantata, the first Northerner to open a bank account in Nigeria. Alhaji Alhassan Dantata is the great grand father of the Nigerian Business mogul and Billionaire businessman, Aliko Dangote. He was the first Northern businessman to open a bank account in Nigeria in 1929. When bank of British which is now First Bank of Nigeria opened a branch in Kano in 1929 , Alhaji Alhassan Dantata opened an account and deposited 20 camel load of Silver coins, making him the first Northern businessman to deposit money in a bank in Nigeria. He traded in kola nuts, groundnuts, cattle, cloth, beads, precious stones and many other valuable goods. He was the major distributor of general merchandise to Royal Niger Company and one of the initiators of the groundnut pyramids in Kano At the time of his death in August, 1955, he was the wealthiest man in West African region.

Barely few weeks to the Anambra governorship Primary, leading governorship aspirant of the party, Dr. Godwin Maduka, was guest of Mrs.Amina Titi Abubakar, wife of Nigeria's former Vice President, WhatsApp Groups 2021 Alhaji Abubakar Atiku in Abuja at the weekend.

WOTCLEF is an NGO of the wife of the former Vice President, committed to the eradication of trafficking of persons, child labour and violent abuses of the rights of women and society, with focus on trafficking, Child labour, abuse of the rights of women, children and HIV/AIDS.
Dr.Maduka is the founder of world renowned Las Vegas Pain Institute,in Las Vegas, U.S.
Maduka and the Atikus enjoy strong relationship which dates back many years ago.
Speaking during his visit to the Atikus, at the weekend in Abuja, Maduka, who was warmly received on arrival by wife of the former Vice President, commended the great works of Mrs. Abubakar and her WOTCLEF team.
He pledged to identify and support the objectives of the organization, which is "Humanity First"
In her response, Mrs Atiku eulogized Dr.Maduka, and prayed for the success of his governorship ambition.
Dr. Maduka was accompanied on the visit by Chairman of his Campaign Organization, Sir Nwabueze Ezeani (Nwataanayoeze).

This act sent shock waves to the community which lead to an appeal to the general public to join their voices until the news gets to the appropriate authority.
Speaking to an eye witness in the community, Godwin Ajibola, he said he doesn't know what really caused the demolition of the electrical poles but he was present at the scene where he saw Maurice Ekpo the owner of Almat farm and also the operator making use of excavator to pull down the poles.
He further stated that the poles aren't in the compound WhatsApp Groups 2021 or on the land of almat farm, calling for help to safeguard their community infrastructure from further destruction.
Suleiman, another eyewitness also said he did not know what lead to the demolition but he was present at the scene where excavator was used to pull down the poles

My mother was pregnant,as usual pregnant women go for scans to ascertain the sex of the unborn child and guess what? They told her she was having twins(a boy and a girl) she was excited. Recently i got an interview in one of the leading IT Company. It is CMMI level company so i thought to try. I gave written test and technical round of interview, then again technical round with manager and he put me on hold. A driver with Hartland Construction Company simply identified as Buhari and two police officer were on Tuesday allegedly shot dead by gunmen in the process of kidnapping an expatriate along Benin-Auchi express way in Edo state capital.
It was gathered that the driver and the police officer were coming from the Benin airport where they went to pick the expatriate when the gunmen suddenly appeared from the bush and opened fire on the vehicle.
The driver and the police officer were alleged to have died on the spot while the expatriate was whisked into the bush by the unknown gunmen. The expatriate was said to have been on leave but came back to the country some days ago to resume work.
The driver who hails from Jattu, Etsako west local government was said to have been buried immediately according to Islamic rite.
Responding to the state commissioner of police, Philip Ogbadu, who confirmed the incident said the two officers however survived the attack.
He said the incident happened after Ahor and not Ogbemidia farm.
“It happened, the driver conveying a white man being escorted by two police men were shot at, the driver died but the officers held on to their riffles and they survived.
“The only thing is that the white man was taken away.”
He explained that the style the kidnappers use is that on sighting a vehicle and will immediately open fire so that they can force the vehicle to a stop.

Senior special assistant to the President on Niger Delta affairs, Ita Enang has said that the Governors are to be blamed for some of the challenges being witnessed across the country.
Speaking during an interview on NTA on Monday, the Presidential aide alleged that Governors in the country have exercised powers beyond what the constitution envisaged for them.
Enang further said that if funds meant for local governments are disbursed, the challenges currently being witnessed across the country will be curbed.
“The governors have exercised so much powers that are beyond what the constitution envisaged for them — beyond what the law gave to them.
“The president has kept within his powers as president and does not interfere with the funds of the state governments while the governors have interfered and kidnapped the funds of the local governments through what is called the state/local government joint account.
“They don’t even give to the local governments the funds that they realise as internally generated revenue, which is why the joint account was made.
“Now, the insecurity problem we have today, the governors cannot escape the criticism of the people because everybody is a witness.
“If the governors allow the funds of the local governments to get to the local governments, they would have been able to at least capture within their net, certain persons of certain class at that local government level. This way a lot of ill-happenings in the country will be curbed,” he said.
