With my experience in hospitals, it's the Senior or older doctors that get things right 90% of the time.
The guess work of a senior doctor is 10 times better than the guess work of young doctors.
Older doctors have more experience
The senior doctors in Nigeria are far more better. They have more experience in signs and symptoms than the new young doctors.

Here is My experience

A child of 4 years was given antibiotics at home for flu and the parents noticed he had severe side effects from the antibiotics.
They took the child to hospital and complain to the doctor that the 4 yrs old has bad reaction to antibiotics
Guess what??
The young doctor even after the complian still gave the 4 yr old Rocephin which is a stronger antibiotics.
Now the 4 year old has severe joint pain,swollen face and red patches all over his body. Can't walk and is in serious pain

Only for the senior doctor to call and apologize this morning for the mistake of the young doctor.
I don't know how these young doctors graduate from med school.
Who knows how many lives those young doctors have wasted with their quackery

Obviously the older doctors with more experience will have more knowledge.

It is also up to those older doctors to pass knowledge to the younger ones is it not?

Why do a lot of Nigerian men expect so much from females but bring nothing to the table.

A lot of men expect women, to cook, clean, take care of the kids, be educated, have a career but in return provide nothing?

I really don't get it.

Hey all,

I'm Nigerian but was born in the UK. I'm just wondering roughly how long you dated before getting engaged and married. Is it usually quite quick or can dating go on for years before engagement in Nigerian culture.

The reason why I ask is over been with my boyfriend for 2 years, and we've talked about marriage. My parents have met him etc.

Would my parents expect him to have proposed already as some of the stories I'm reading are people getting engaged after a few months of dating? In the uk, the average from dating to engagement is about 3-4 years, so don't really know what it's average for Nigeria.

Just a couple of questions.

1) Why do people make more than 1 Facebook profile? Why do you need 6 different profiles and want me to be friends with all of them?

2) Why do you tag people in pictures that they aren't even in. I will constantly be seeing pictures with 30 people tagged, but only one person in the photo. Why is this? I don't want a phot that had nothing to do with me on my wall.

A friend of mine had an accident 3yrs back so he went to meet a bone mender, unfortunately for after 6 months he discover his hand was not straight, now 3 yrs later he is thinking of meeting and bone mender so as to rebreak it, dear nairalanders is it advisable.

When you say 'bone mender', do you mean orthopaedic surgeon? If it's not causing him any pain, and he has full use of it, then I wouldn't bother.

People do whatever is comfortable and right for them; I don't understand why some people are so judgmental over trivial things. People saying 'what is the woman supposed to carry?' Well, what is the man supposed to carry if he didn't carry the child? It's his baby too!
