Which state is maiduguri? That state is the most beautiful, peaceful and serene. With undulating hills and sonorous waterfalls collecting at the base and meandering down to the dense sambisa forest with some of the most beautiful and educated girls now ladies taken from the state to populate this forest that straddles 4 states. It recently had the seat of the military relocated there.

Politics › Re: Relocate Boko Haram Prisoners Out Of Igboland Now - Ohaneze Tells Buhari by hardbody: 10:28am On Jul 03, 2015 |
AmadiAba: Angered by the Federal Government’s alleged transfer of 49 Boko Haram inmates from the North East prisons to Aguata Prison in Ekwuluobia, Anambra State, Chairman of Ohanaeze Ndigbo , Elder Chris Eluemuno, yesterday demanded the immediate relocation of the inmates in the interest of peace and tranquility in the country.
Speaking with newsmen at his country home, Nkwelle-Ezunaka, Elder Elumuno said: “Our position is that it is not acceptable to us having them here, if what President Mohummadu Buhari has to give us as dividend of democracy is Boko Haram terrorists, it is very, very unfair.
“Aguata prison in Ekwulobia is not a maximum prison, it is an ordinary prison and if the Federal Government meant well for us, Igbo, it is not terrorists that they will bring to us, it is not acceptable to us and we are asking them to think again and look for a better place and send them there.
“Let him build a camp and put them there if there are not enough accommodations in the North East prisons, the prison in Ekwulobia does not have maximum security, there are maximum security prisons all over the country.
“Successive Federal Governments of Nigeria have always taken the Igbo for granted and pleaded that nobody should push the Igbo to the walls to incur their wrath, we are asking him to please, remove the suspects from Anambra State.”
http://igberetv.com/relocate-boko-haram-prisoners-out-of-igboland-now-ohaneze-tells-buhari/ This should be the least of our problems. Poison them all over a period of time and the haramites themselves will kick against being sent there to serve going forward. |

agarawu23: we Humans cannot stop the rains from falling. These are natural events, but we can do something to prevent them from having great impact.
our Government are not trying at all because they are lot of step they can take to control flooding and make flow of water easy.
I have seen countries where rain fall constantly but there is a good drainage system and underground well, once the rain stops within 1-2 hours everywhere is dried up.
Blame our Government. Great write up, but we the people are also not helping matters. How do we dispose of waste? You see people dropping gabbage everywhere and blocking the few drainages thus compounding an already bad situation. While orientation is important, all hands should be on deck to change the status quo. |

urchbarbie: except d lady is a dummy, it cant. I rmbr being tot dat promise to marry can be upheld in a court of law. google. its been judicially noticed in d country of late. wat more does she need to prove. u kept her in a house for over 9mnths, put her in d family way. My dear, dis kind circumstantial evidence plenty. She wld nail him. am just sad dat in Nigeria she can only get a few thousands. If its in d west, she wld be a millionaire (in dollars at dat) Understand my context. I am aware there is a plethora of case law on this point. I am only following the argument you led when you talked about her proving her case with a ring supposedly bought by the guy in question. I said an argument placed on that plank will be dismantled without much ado. My earlier submission was based on jurisdictional competence. The matter will eventually be delivered on preponderance of evidence. |
Nairaland General › Re: Bird Turns To Woman After Electric Shock In Oshodi, Lagos (graphic Pictures) by hardbody: 9:00pm On Jun 19, 2015 |
greggles: I have some Observations:
1. The high tension was not pictured above the woman as convincing evidence 2. Electrically (scientifically), birds do not get electrocuted because perching on only one of the high tension wires will not electrocute them or anyone who stays on only one of the 3 or 4 high tension cables 3. I don't believe one will get burned by electricity like she was and still stay alive, my guess is that fire or something else did that, Maybe she painted herself black to resemble an occultic person (as they do in Nollywood movies)
4. I am not an expert, my argument is open to contest I wanted to highlight on your second point but you already did. I disbelieve this story. I need stronger proof. Essentially birds don't get electrocuted. |

Family › Re: Woman Drags Boyfriend To Court For Dumping Her After Marriage Promises by hardbody: 8:24pm On Jun 19, 2015 |
urchbarbie: u lie. very easy to prove dear. she shld just make available a cheap engagement ring and tell d court dat he proposed on so,so, so date. that wld suffice. This evidence will be torn to shreds by a young wig under cross examination. She will consistently contradict herself and will be treated as a witness of untruth. The guy should even bring her character into issue and mess her up thoroughly in the public court. I will even pay an area boy that will testify to have been sleeping with her. |
Family › Re: Woman Drags Boyfriend To Court For Dumping Her After Marriage Promises by hardbody: 8:18pm On Jun 19, 2015 |
tsdarkside: you think too complicated....he made a contract of "trust" with her...he broke the contract...its not hard to understand.... So she should sue for criminal breach of trust which will in any case not get her judgment in specific performance but only in penal damages which again as i said before will neither get the man back nor even damages as it will revert to the state. I should defend that guy. |
Family › Re: Woman Drags Boyfriend To Court For Dumping Her After Marriage Promises by hardbody: 6:44pm On Jun 19, 2015 |
firstEVA: under the law, it is called "breach of promise to marry". He has to pay damages, next time, he will learn to keep his promise. I do not know how the penal code works. But a better approach would have been to sue in a civil action and claim damages for breach. Proof in criminal cases are more stringent while in a civil matter it could be grounded on balance of probability. Besides, the guy should contest jurisdiction except it is really a codified offence in the penal code. At any rate, in criminal matters, the fine payable belongs to the state as against what would be the case in a civil matter. But as i said, i dont quite have a grip on the penal code. All said and done, the man was an imp and the lady was a dummy. The courts only give judgment but not peace of mind. She will never be truly married to that man irrespective of the court's decision. |

jnrbayano: Who pocket these huge bail money and what do they use it for?
Any accounting for them? The bail money is never generally paid until the suspect jumps bail, then the surety pays the money in the first instance and gets arrested with a bench warrant for nit producing the accused. He may end up in kirikiri after that. One reason why you should nit bail a person not very well known to you. |
