The new crop of people working for them now can best be described as monkeys.

They can not handle anything. Can you imagine that I funded my account with the E-account number clearly written, yet they wrongly transferred the money to another account?

Many people have been struggling to redeem their money for more than 4 days now.

This is what happens when a corporate entity fails to retain their best hands because they believe any graduate can do the job.
I don't advise anybody to do business with Stanbic IBTC asset management even if their yield is the highest.

Bunch of incompetent young ladies. They pick your call and struggle to communicate effectively. Overall, the intended purpose for calling them will not be fulfilled. They close happily and get paid at the end of the month.

I thought i was the only one that noticed how their current crop of young employees struggle with effective and concise communication.

I no longer call, cause even from “Hello” i start to get angry. I mostly communicate with them via email and it takes 3, 4, 5,6 iterations (mail exchanges) to usually land at our final bus-stop about the solution to an issue and all these would take the span of a month or more most times.

Ratherless, when it comes to operational efficiency. Stanbic is still one of the best - in the land of the blind, one eyed man is king. At least they have leaders, driving performance. I no go talk when my eye don see for another asset manager hand . Those ones no dey see mail talk less of acknowledging it lol

Of course the Landlords give the House directly to the Tenants and if any Agent/s followed the Tenants, the Landlord usually tell the Agent/s that he doesn't allow such on his property and if the Tenants feel obliged to part with something, he/she is free.

This I have witnessed dozens of time. In fact, we just buried one of the Landlord in my hood about 3 weeks ago and you need to see the crowd at his funeral testifying to the man's goodness.

The thing is it very hard for a tenant to get a house directly from the landlord. 99.9% of online house postings are agents, there are even landlords that would post and require you to pay agency & agreement.

If there is a ready platform for only landlords, life would have been easier but there is none.

In short, in Lagos. Anybody that shows you a house, it doesn’t matter whether you just met the person on the same street to inquiry if there is any vacancy on that street, he/she would want to collect agency

Except you give the property directly to the tenant, once these greedy agents are involved. They won’t bring that tenant to you unless he/she agrees to pay the sum.

I was shocked the other to see Sanwo Olu address the issue about a week or two. That agency and agreement should never be more than 10% of the value of the rent. But these greedy agents in Lagos, trust a Nigerian until hand touch them

Even Fraud cases have categories. A poor man's fraud case of 50k is easily dispensed but those that runs into millions of dollars will take eternity or even squashed along the line once the judge has been settled or politically aligned.
