1. Should we pray for the child so God would open his anus?

2. Should we take the child to the hospital so the child is operated on and given an anus?

3. So you prayed and met your father and then realized that God knew what he was doing for making him run away. Does this mean we can pray then God would open the Boy's anus and then we would all regret praying for the boy to be normal?

4. Are we supposed to gather round and praise God for creating the boy without anus. We praise God till the boy dies. Then we praise God for making the boy die? Since you are telling us you were supposed to be grateful to God for giving you an irresponsible father

We all know to pray to God in this situation is useless. We all know God won't answer. Does this mean God refuses to answer because he knows it is best this child does not have an anus?

In 2006, my wife went for an interview with Oceanic bank and after one week they sent her an email that she ws unsuccessful, she became dejected. So I asked her to print the rejection email and bring it to me, she did and we cancelled the letter by faith and requested for a successful one in agreement. Glory be to God, after two weeks she was invited for another interview with the same bank and was employed. I can count more than ten other miraculous things God has done since then. So dont be deluded that God answers prayer, however, even if God does not answer prayer, he remains my God forever because my relationship with Him is not based on answering prayer but feeling the warmth of His presence in every area of my life. Now I am not a petty kind of person. I am a man that does what has to be done to get result. I don't allow emotions dictate to me. I don't allow fear. Infact I don't fear people. So I requested a private session with Pastor Charlse. I had my questions ready. All along the man thought I was a new convert, he never knew my story. We arranged a private session and I met him at the agreed time.

I told him my story and why I started attending his church. I confessed how I was losing my faith to him and the questions that weighed my heart. "Sir, what makes the bible true? What makes all what we believe true?"

He smiled with confidence and started preaching to me from the bible and giving me some personal experiences. I realized he had no answers. All he was doing was asking me to just believe the bible and pray. I have been praying, I have read the bible. Nothing new here.

The whole religion was obviously built around human selfishness. Just make sure you make heaven he said. Oh! It is not my business that God allows people he claims to love and that he created to suffer and die of hunger and diseases? It is not my business that the bible has so many contradictions and some insane evil things God did? It is not my business that God has been failing to heal people? It is not my business that Jesus died in Jerusalem while it would take hundreds or of years for the gospel that was supposed to be man's only hope to reach even nearby regions? Billions would have died without ever hearing the name jesus. And yet that is God's perfect plan to save humanity? How daft can this God be?

I left his office that day pretending to have accepted his answers to my question when I discovered it was hopeless trying to get straight answers from him.

I remember getting home and saying "Fvck God!" This was the first time I would ever say this. I repeated it over and over again. I have tried to swallow your bullshit. Enough is enough.

From the very first day I started reading the bible from Genesis, you never made sense, but I swallowed it all believing the Holy spirit was giving me understanding wereas it was my own mind that was formulating excuses on God's behalf. I remember clearly how I kept bumping from terrible to more terrible unexplainable things in the bible, yet I swallowed it all. Damn! I laughed at myself. Men! This thing is total mind control. I kept laughing. It was as if I just found a pot full of gold.

That night I slept with the last words on my mouth "fvck you God, Fvck fvck and fvck you" and I went to sleep.

Yeah! I was damn angry! Very angry. I have wasted 20+ years of my life not living but being a zombie. I still believed God existed, but I was sure the bible was damn fake! So I set on quest for the truth.

We just moved to Jos from Sokoto, in Sokoto I had never heard a single christian song, Never heard anyone pray before, never heard anyone talk about Jesus. I had no christians around me. My dad was born a christian but did not go to church or pray.
The year was 1994, this was my first day in Junuco Nur & Pri Schl. Tudunwada, Jos, behind Mountain Green Hotel.
Don't be fooled by the name. This was one of the most posh schools in Jos at that time.
For the first time I found myself singing a song about Jesus. This song is the FIRST song ever telling me someone loves me.
Till date this song as a deep psychological effect on me. The message was just too strong. Jesus loves me, Jesus Loves me. Wow! I felt really important, I felt really good.
Why was this song so strong and why was it so important.
1. The song was for children primarily. Young impressionable minds.

2. Jesus Loves me! Very powerful words. You will want to know who this Jesus was. The song did not say, "Jesus loves YOU, it said Jesus loves ME!"
You are using your mouth to say Jesus loves you even if you did not know anything about Jesus. It is like a girl saying Hardmirror loves me. Automatically, she would fall in love with me.

3. "This I know". Did I know? I never knew Jesus loves me. But here I am saying "this I know" just because I was taught the song that way and everybody was singing it. But I was told the reason why I know he loves me in the next verse...

4. "For the bible tells me so". Oh the bible! Now it all makes sense. What ever the bible says is true! It is the word of God!

5. "They are weak, but he is strong" I have a big strong friend, a big brother, a big father. Wow! I am invincible. He goes everywhere I go. I am weak, but he is strong. No one can hurt me, he is watching over me! Feels good!

6. Then you end the song with "yes jesus loves me 3 times" then conclude with "the bible tells me so"

VERY VERY POWERFUL SONG. Well written and effective in deluding ANY KIDS mind. It does not matter the religion your parents practiced, all you have to do is sing this song everyday in school and you will end up a christian.

BUT not every one sang this song as kids, oh yeah you did even though you did not know. The message of the gospel is all encompassed in that little song. Even if you never heard the song that was basically the message that made all christians.

Reality does not agree. It seems you are strong but he is weak. He protects you from nothing! Do you know how good your life would have been if jesus actually answers just 1% of your prayers? I wanted to love this jesus back. The jesus that died for me according to the bible.

Then the videos of jesus stories on christmas and every easter finished the job. It was impossible to even think of living without Jesus.

Thus my efforts to fight my diminishing belief in this Jesus and the bible. I ran from being a leader in my church to Life Oasis Church, a church of the word and spirit so I could find Jesus and fall in love with him all over again.
Even though I was an adult. I remember singing this my childhood song to reassure me.

I am a closet atheist for my safety. I have never been a serious christian. Have always being skeptical of religion since my teen. If my family and husband family know of my atheist stand, they will disown me. So I am still involve in religion activities for fun. I've read your post to a great extent and was very intrigued. I was however more particular if you'd not brought it here to the feasting of the marauding atheists here, and if you've already made it a decision to bring it here, no Wahala. We're here now, so, let's roll.

I could relate with all you wrote and personally was on this lane at some point. Let me tell you a story.

I joined Christ Embassy in the year 2010, I was a well brought us Anglican boy, and at a point in life, I would say I became agnostic because of the church politics and it seemed God was cool with it. I mean, imagine a church suing your dad (a messy court case my dad won) then imagine the church folks look at you as a kid of the one who 'defeated the church'. It was a big church, St Paul's Anglican Church, Jos.

I left church for close to 16 months, till I was invited to Christ Embassy, my stay was in itself a miracle, but that story is for another day.

In these 6 years, I've seen the miraculous, handled the word of truth, I've healed the sick, minister the Holy Spirit to folks, I've smelt demons (they smell more terrible than anything worse you've smelt on earth) . I've seen cancers quenched, I've seen ailments disappear... I've seen stroke, fibroid etc go away. I've seen the barren carry their babies just by words. All these happened after I met Joagbaje and attended services with him. Then meetings with Pastor Chris, I mean... I've seen it all.

My first healing was of a two year old boy in the slums of Onopa, Yenagoa. I could remember it was a Thursday, and I was privileged to be in leaders' meeting with Joagbaje in Yenagoa the Tuesday before. He spoke about demonstrating the Power of the Spirit, he was speaking to cell leaders and Bible study class teachers. I sat there, listening and wondering at what he spoke about.

That day, I went to see this young teenager I knew because she was one of those my "disciples" in Yenagoa... I got alot of them teens to church. That was when I found out she had a two year old son, she was just 16.

This lad had pus coming out of his ear, from the inside, I mean the INSIDE of his head. It was smelly that other grown ups avoided him. I asked her,

"why you no carry this boy go hospital na? " I said in awe

She retorted

" I don carry am go clinic, them don give am medicine tore, and I no get money to go FMC"

I was like "If I pray for him, he'd get well". After saying that, I began processing what I just said... "did I just say that?"

All I could think of is what I heard in the previous meeting and how pastor Chris does it in programmes and healing school. I was not getting a kind of a anger from within.

"Junior" she yelled, calling the young lad who suddenly bolted out after I said he'd be healed. He wasn't about stopping till some other kids, say 8 and 9 years old caught him and brought him back. He was seriously wailing now.

She said

"uncle wants to pray for you, stay when he's done I'll buy you biscuit, you hear?"

And he reluctantly came towards me as I gently pulled him towards me. His gaze was on mine, and he trembled, either out of fear of a stranger or otherwise, I didn't bother.

I was sitting, and when he was fully in front of me, I put my two hands covering both ears, now... I don't know what to say or pray about, I just knew he's gotta be healed. I dint speak in tongues my full focus was on him and seeing him healed. Pictures of pastor Chris kept flooding my mind and Joagbaje's words the other day. It was the moment, I was putting God on the spot. It was my first time.

Then with my eyes closed, I remember saying

"Precious Jesus, I thank you for this boy and the healing you'd do today. Right now, I command every demon responsible for this affliction to come of this body. I rebuke you spirit of death, come out of him, in the Name of Jesus."

Then I was mute for like 2 secs or so, then continued

"be healed in your ears, be healed in your blood, in the name of Jesus! "

Now, the mum was uninterested in the episode as she's seen plenty prayers. The young boy was quite now, one would think he was almost going to sleep. Then I took of my hands, and he ran off. I told the mum to call me tonight about it, she affirmed she will.

Boy! I couldn't wait to tell everyone, but I was like "let me wait first" (later on the Spirit of God rebuked me on that , he does it harshly ehn. I late knew he relates with us according to how we've yielded to him, some folks he just whispers or pamper them while rebuking).

That night, her number wasn't connecting, those who's stayed in Bayelsa will know how the Power issue is,however, I couldn't go on Friday, so I went on Saturday. I met her in a joyous spirit as she spotted me, she apologises for not calling and I not wanting much talk asked how about the boy. She said it dried up since then, I asked of the lad, she called him and I checked, I even put on the light on my camera phone. It was dried up. I almost leaped off my skin, I was sooooooooooo glad, I was like 'me ma don do am, the word works o jare "

I can't remember if I told Joagbaje before leaving Bayelsa, but I know I tried but I told my dear friend Newton about it. Now, Newton gives demons headaches too.

Now, I have a reason for that story. It's similar to mine.

So can you trust God enough that if your should get an accident and lose your leg God will restore it back? I mean an amputated leg or arm.
If the answer is no, then what limits God.

I am a Christian, admittedly not a fire brigade type of Christian. I have followed the story and comments from the part 1 to this very second part and I must admit that I have learnt one or two things. However, I have some reservations which I need you guys to help me quash by making things clearer.

I have seen some of you guys proclaimed "I am a Satanist", "praise be to Satan" and the likes. Each time I see comments like the ones I highlighted above, I feel that you guys are sounding contradictory and that really gets me more confused. So my questions are :

Do you guys actually believe in the existence of Satan to warrant such comments? If that is the case, are there any proofs that s/he(Satan) actually exists? But if that is not the case, why do you guys make such comments?

Satanists are totally different from atheists. The believe yahweh, satan, angels, demons exist. Atheists don't.
Some atheists like messing around with teachings of controversial religions including satanism not because they worship satan but because of the reaction they get from people. I remember a time I was messing around with a christian here on Nairaland. He was ranting and saying we atheists are all children of the devil, so I decided to play along and told him "oh yeah we were sent by our father the devil, blah blah blah..." It was funny how the guy took it serious and started quoting bible and rebuking the devil. He was damn serious while I was having a good laugh on my bed." So it all part of the fun when dealing with christians.

Yes, it would be wicked to to take that away from them. Reason why I keep repeating it that my story is not to convert anyone but make information and my experience available with those struggling with their religious inclination.

I met a man yesterday. He used to be a millionaire, infact if not for misfortunes that befell him, he would be a billionaire (in naira) today.
He was a freethinker when he was rich but he is now a pastor after losing all his money.
He was now saying we should all try to serve God o. I just smiled. Even the bible says if you fail in the day of adversity, your strength is small.
I realized he became helpless and confused and had no strength to cope.
He was told it was the purpose of God that he loes everything so he can serve God. And he believed the poo.

You know it is just best you leave people with their religion. Most of them, it's their only hope. They need to keep that illusion that god is taking care of them. So I don't blame them.

How can you give time to pray 5 times a day as a muslim even though it has no value it is adding to your life. The only value is an assumed value the quran tells you.

God heals Breast Cancer in my Local Church in Osogbo
The church I attend in Osogbo has it's HeadQuarters in Ibadan and the General Overseer Bishop.xxxx Bleep is very popular there. A man with so many testimonies of miracles, it is even said he had raised the dead before. He always talks about a time he prayed for a dead child and she woke.
Well I believed him with my whole heart. This man thought me how to fast. I a year we could fast for 70days straight. We called periods of fasting "Days of Glory".
This man taught me how to pay tithe. I never defaulted on paying tight even tho things were very tight for me and my family. I was a faithful tither.
I pray so much like he does too. Infact I picked up a lot from him.

As usual on sundays, time is given for testimonies (which of course is very important in the modern day church to keep people's faith in the church)
This particular sunday a woman who lived in the same area with us came out to testify.

This was a woman I knew VERY well, a friend to my mum infact.

She claimed she had breast cancer and when she told the pastor, the pastor became worried and asked for urgent prayers for her. They fasted for 3 days and on the 3rd day, the cancer vanished!

Wow! I was really shocked! This woman could not be lying. She was too old for that. So it most be true.

Some days later this woman secretly flew abroad for surgeries and treatments and kept flying out. While leaving people with the lie that she was healed by prayer even publicly praising the pastor and saying all sorts about God being a god of all possibilities. Smh.

I am sure pastor Joagbaje can relate to this. How we quickly jump into conclusion that someone was healed of a deadly disease and we fail to update the church on the facts that the healing was only assumed and never happened.

So unfortunate.

The terrible thing is even when I knew she still went for surgeries, I still gave glory to God and never felt she lied. I was defending her lie and claiming she was only acting in faith.

It makes me remember an incidence that happened in Ido-Osun about 12 years ago. Where a man was bitten by a poisonous snake and instead of going to an hospital, he went to a church. He died some hours later. I remember how chistians were the ones saying the man was a fool.
Wait! Why is the man a fool, does God not claim that when you run to him in days of trouble he will save you? Does he not say "God is a present help in times of trouble?"
Does God not assure us of picking up serpents and stepping on them and not hurting us?

How come all of a sudden same christians that claim to believe in the bible are the ones saying the man was a fool only because the man chose to believe God.

I started hearing them say, "wisdom is profitable to direct". Oh! So it is foolishness to trust the bible and power of God? So it is wisdom to trust doctors that are humans rather than God? Same God that said you should not put your trust in men?
Why do we keep giving excuses for God when he fails?
Imagine if the man had gotten a miracle at the church won't same christians shout and make noise about how awesome God is? But he failed and then you say the man is a fool. Hell yeah! I agree, anyone that believes god is indeed a fool.

Truth NEVER fails, Truth does not need excuses to be made for it. Is the bible true? Is god of religion true? Which religion is serving the true god.

Problem is humans are generally weak and we all want to believe there is an Almighty God watching out for us. But if we really check, we would see that we are the ones always struggling to solve our own problems while giving glory to an imaginary god. As small as osogbo is owver the past 15 years there has been LOTS of crusades with thousands of healings, where are all the so called healed blind men living? Where are all the dumb people speaking? Where are all the lame walking? Where are they living that we don't know them or hear of them after the crusades.

Do you know what it means to be blind and everybody on your street knows you are blind for years and all of a sudden you start seeing for real. Do you think a single muslim will remain on such a street after witnessing God first hand?
Why do you think people are going from church to church looking for answer?
People are looking for answers and they seem to never find it, tho they keep lying to themselves that they have found it.
