For some of us, our fathers have been a great pillar and influence in our lives, through the foundation of discipline they laid..

For me specifically, my father never joked with our education, he so valued education that he would rather respond positively to child A's educational needs than child B's other needs..

I really appreciate him now for all those days he scolded/reprimanded me, whenever I go wrong (you know sometimes as a child, you are wrong yet you don't know, thinking they hate you for no reason ). I tell you, if not for those strong/solid measures he placed as a yoke upon me, only God knows what would have become of me. That's why, when people talk about addiction, especially to harmful substance, I can't relate, all thanks to my dad..

Another thing is, I got to understand (or at least have an idea) about God's love, through my dad. Was the shouting, whooping of my ass, punishment, etc not there? Of course yes, it was! As I grew, I knew the difference between being chastised for a wrong and wickedness..

Also, my father married only my mother. Although, I wanted to abolish this by marrying more than one woman (majority of our ladies, just the biblical wine, are turning into something else these days. The best way to correct/contain them without stress is by adding to them), but my father's legacy of "one man one woman" must stand..

Another thing I like about my father is that, he doesn't take advice from any of us ( it's common and normal with most African parents ), but when he begins to sense wisdom and what you told him initially, coming to past. Next time, he would listen, lol..

In conclusion, by God's grace, I will make sure I uphold the wonderful things I learnt from my dad, pass same down to my kids ..

What is the cost of studying medicine in the UK? £9,000 pounds per year... people will go to ife or Lag or last for #25,000 per year and be asking to be paid the same with those that go to school with $4,800 and £9,000

What is the cost of housing? Or electricity or health insurance? Or transportation?

Honestly, what he said is true. France contributed greatly to the fight against violent extremism and in the sahel which would have overrun these countries. There might be obvious other neocolonial defects inherent. But in all, leadership, lack of corruption and strong institutions among African countries will change the narrative, not coup.

The question isn't about minimum wage but of price of things. Prices determine buying power of the money.

If the govt exercises the power to print money and decide to introduce it into the system by paying workers N200k, the businessmen who produce and import what that money ends up buying will adjust because nothing stops them for setting high prices. At the end, the worker will discover his 200k can't buy what 30k could before the minimum wage increase.

The only solution to our problem is production of goods and not of money. Money is gradually failing but many can't see it.

Thats a lie ooh, nothing i mean nothing with high price will ever come down... so if they continue to pay current minimum wages only few will be able to afford 2 meal par day... Most companies don't use public supply because it's unreliable.

The company I work with just sign an agreement of 600million naira solar power .... the company earn in dollar and pay in naira shey naa that kind of company will like to leave soon .... some people mention ghana ... the truth is that even in Ghana the tariff is even more than the increase Nigeria have .... what can solve this is that at least minimum wages should be àround 250k to 300k then everyone will be okay
