Kobojunkie: I am against people, who in their rush to create for themselves CONSPIRACY THEORIES to appease their little minds, and maybe others who enjoy those funny stories, end up reducing the sincere efforts of the people of Egypt who are out there fighting for their democracy, to merely another WESTERN AGENDA crock.
I notice that many in the conspiracy theory groups missed the opportunity some nonsense on what happened in Tunisia as we were all blown away by how quickly it all started and progressed, and it almost seems conspiracy theorists are working in overdrive to use Egypt to score missed points for themselves within their silly groups . it seems you are not getting me, who is talking of CONSPIRACY THEORY here? i dont know how else i cam explain my opinion to you, anyway, let me clear some points. * nothing like conspiracy * the revolt was started by the masses * both local/international parties are trying to push for their interest capitalising on lack of leadership from the demonstrators * it will do you a lot good if can change your vocabulary on the bolded |

shotster50: I think there are vested interests in what is currently happening in Egypt. The level of Iran's involvement in the current Egypt crisis is debatable, but lets be clear that Ahmedinajad would love nothing more than another powerful Islamic state so close to Israel. It would indeed be a great loss to America if they lose one of their biggest allies in the Arab world. i dont think the level of Iranian involvement is debatable, from the speech by Ayatollah last friday i believe you know where their interest lays. |

Kobojunkie: Again, why must he be a WESTERN INTEREST to you? The man again, is protesting out with his people, and I am certain when he joined the IAEA, he did not do so so he could be labelled a WESTERN INTEREST by people like you. So, I ask again why does you need him to be a WESTERN INTEREST in this picture? ok, let me tell you why i believe the west will be more comfortable with him, among the interested parties out there, he is one that will to some extend maintain the status quo iro Egypt policies. |

Kobojunkie: Western interest? Are you high The IEA man is an Egyptian and is out there protesting, but you have immediately labelled him a WESTERN INTEREST? pls am not high on anything, if giving an opinion is being HIGH? then i guess you are anyway, of all the likely interest, whom do u think the west will prefer? |

violent: Mubarak will eventually step down, and then, i suspect things will turn a lot uglier for Egypt and the Egyptian people, cos Israel will jack up the military house and put their egg heads under it.
If Mubarak goes, it's Iran circa 1979 all over again. The Muslim Brotherhood's fingers are all over this thing. Most of the citizenry want a democratic leadership, but they are unorganized and in a power vacuum, the ruthless rise to the top. Both the Muslim Brotherhood and the leaders of the communist movement are more organized and have the wherewithal to be ruthless enough to take power, but in the end, Egypt is a Islamic nation forced into secularization. I see the citizenry embracing Islam before communism. to a very large extend i think i agree with you, but the western interest will not like that to happen thats is why i feel they are promoting that IEA man cant remember his name now. |

Kobojunkie: I don't see what you claim to see, sorry. The way I see it, what we like to call CONTROL is mainly people allowing themselves to be used by a minority to achieve the selfish goals of the few. And No, the West barely ever turns out to be the Puppet masters in most all CONTROL situations, local Government leaders who have something to gain do. In Egypt's case however, there does not seem to be any immediate group benefiting except the Egyptian people and that is the main reason why the whole world is trying to stay out of this for as long as they can, well, until the People of Egypt decide where this will go. hope you have heard that the muslim brothers are in talks with the govt? |

from the write up you will know that this people are not representing the north, they are representing their personal interest, asking for juicy ministry so that they can steal and western country to take their family as ambassador. if they truly have the interest of the north they should have supported Buhari, but they know his stands on corruption which will not go well with them. |

more beautiful than them? is it all about beauty? its so shallow pinning it down to beauty alone. anyway, my take is that God created woman to behave like that for He knows best, now it is left for the individual to transmute that habit to something positive |

ayubam: Fellow NLers, a thought just flash through my mind and was convincing to me and I think I should put it here. I think the problem in Nigeria is that most Nigerians ARE CORRUPT (not all though) hence the majority prefers the rule of the corrupt politicians to a right standing one.
All these clamours for good governance are just pretext. in as much i hate to agree with you, but that seems to be the truth. in a country like nigeria where pdp have ruled for almost 12 years now, nothing concrete to show for it. i dont have anything against GEJ but the party he is in, can not bring in the positive changes we desire in this country. |

ayubam: Thank God he is an ethnic bigot just like everyone who has been angry that only northerners are ruling us irregardless of the credibility of the southerners. He is not a looter. I am sure the hole in the treasury will be blocked if he gets there. With equal representation in the senate and various allocations to each states, lets see how he will vote more money for northern states than the rest regions. And how the like of S/S governors will corner the resources of their people just like they have done in the past under a corrupt system. Jonathan who is not an ethnic bigot, what did he do for Bayelsans? Just bayelsans alone oooooooooo? +7.5 |

will really like to thank those that have contributed positively on this tread, it has really been educative especially to those that have had very negative perception about Islam.
