No, it is not on a minimum-wage job.
For a 1-year postgraduate program that starts in September, your term time will be about 10-11 months.
Autumn term: September–December (3 months excluding about 3-5 weeks of holiday as most schools resume in the 1st or 2nd week of January).
Spring term: January–March (3 months with about 3-5 weeks for the Easter break)
Summer term: April–August (4 months mostly time spent on your dissertation. The moment you hand in your dissertation, you are free of school).
The minimum wage is £9.50 for age 23 and over.
If you get a minimum wage job, you will be earning
£9.50*20 hours weekly = £190
£190*4 = £760 monthly
£760*10 months = £7,600
If you're lucky to get work hours during the Christmas and Easter breaks, you'd be able to earn more depending on how many hours you get.
The above is based on the assumption that you will get a job immediately you get to the UK but this is not always the case.

NHS London jobs pay a lil more than this because of the enhancements - HCA & WTD (Band 2 new entry - £12.99 inner London & £12.63 outer London; Band 3 new entry - £14.01 inner London & £13.65 outer London; Band 4 new entry - £15.28 inner London & £14.91 outer London) but getting into the NHS can sometimes be hard.

You're happy that you might be earning the above, right?
Now comes the expenditure:
*Accommodation: Estimated at a minimum of £400 per month (bills inclusive - Gas, electricity, water, Wifi etc) for a double room in shared accommodation. This can sometimes be higher depending on area and if you get one that doesn't include bills.

*Transportation: Minimum of £184 per month - This is based on London monthly travel card costs. Might be lower depending on how close your work and school are from your accommodation. Might be higher if you go out more often or take cabs at some point. Outside London, you might be able to get discounted yearly students' tickets for around £180 to use on the local buses. Train use will increase your costs.
For the purpose of this estimation, let's assume that you will be outside London and get the discounted ticket.

*Phone bill: Minimum of £10 a month for unlimited data, UK calls and free calls to some EU and North American countries. For calls to Nigeria, WhatsApp and Tesco International calling app will help to keep your costs low.

*Food: How do you eat? Your lifestyle will determine how much you spend. When I was in school outside London, I survived on £10 monthly for groceries (Milk, cereal, pasta etc) because I had a steady supply of cooked and uncooked food from home in London. Many people on a frugal eating plan might end up spending something around £50-100 monthly (depending on if you spend money on raw rice, beans, soup, bread etc) but this will require you to do some bulk cooking at some point to keep your feeding expenses low - the money spent on the cheapest meals eg. McDonald's wrap of £1.99 adds up to a high cost eventually.
To keep costs as low as possible, Aldi, Lidl, 1 pound stores (Sam 99, Poundland etc) are great options as they have some of the cheapest prices but you have to compare items across them to find out which one is cheaper for you.
I'd use lower ended £50 as the estimate here.

*Body care: Body creams, soaps etc come at their own costs too. Let's estimate this at £10 monthly.

The estimated total of the above with the London monthly travel card cost for trains & buses is £654 (Rent - 400, Phone bill - 10, Food - 50, Body care - 10, travel card - 184). You can opt-out of the Travel card option and use contactless which might end up costing more if you travel very frequently around the city.

The estimated total of the above with the outside London is £485.333 (Rent - 400, Phone bill - 10, Food - 50, Body care - 10, Discounted student tickets - 184 yearly broken down into 12 months is 15.333 monthly although you will usually have to pay the total cost upfront ).

Taking out the estimated expenditure from the estimated earnings will be as below
Estimated monthly wages - £760 minus estimated monthly spend - £485.333 = Balance remaining - £274.667
Balance remaining - £274.667 * 10 months = £2,746 during term-time.

Please note that the above are estimations and actual costs/wages might be higher.
Now, with the above, do you think that it will be possible to raise £10k that you most likely need for your tuition balance in less than 10 months?
