BigIyanga: Story. Per capita, Imo, Abia and Delta produce better and more skillful players than Anambra.. Nobody is hating on anybody here. Kanu won UCL at 19/20 yrs.. his 1st intl club. Got signed by Inter Milan.. went for heart surgery and still got signed by Arsenal the biggest club in EPL at that time. Mikel played for only 1 club as an average midfielder. Okay, I'm guessing you're from the east to have noticed this. Apart from producing, even those that didn't end up becoming stars (grass root), Imo and Abia have better football IQ than the other eastern States. I've observed this not on those that blew, but from those that didn't end up blowing. |
Sports › Re: I Am The Most Successful & Decorated Football Player In Nigeria - Mikel Obi(vid) by Hausa(m): 5:53am On Nov 14, 2023 |
neatguy: The fact remains that Mikel is still the most successful and decorated Nigeria footballer and most of his haters who compare and rate him below certain players are simply Anambra hating, fellow Igbos who just hate him because he is from Anambra, plain and simple.
If Mikel were to come from Enugu or Imo state, no player would be compared to him with all the decorations he got unless the person raising such argument would be roasted by online molesters.
If you watched the scintillating moments of Mikel on the pitch, you would not but understand why Chelsea kept him for up to 10yrs even as champions in England.
If you think it's easy, go to Manchester City now as it stands today and sit on the bench for 10 years, let's see how you are going to do that. Nwanne, chillax. I'm from Anambra. While Mikel won accolades, I wouldn't put him anywhere near Kanu. At all at all. It hurts me till tomorrow that something was lost after he moved to Chelsea. Because the Mikel of the u20 wc in 2005 was totally different. A beast, to put it mildly. Just like something was lost in Iheanacho's game after moving to City - as compared to his game play at the 2013 u17 wc. But that's for achievement. When talking about skill, ability, football iq, technicality, etc., Kanu & Okocha arguably stand out at the top in Nigeria football. ***Note this caveat: For someone that have played this football very well and studied the game properly, it's important to note that footballers from Imo and Abia are far more gifted than those from Anambra, Enugu and Ebonyi. You heard it from an Anambra son of the soil. |
Sports › Re: I Am The Most Successful & Decorated Football Player In Nigeria - Mikel Obi(vid) by Hausa(m): 5:45am On Nov 14, 2023 |
thedio: Kanu Nwankwo is the most successful Nigeria player Mikel. Mikel is a great player no doubt but to me, he did not fulfill his full potential. The Mikel I watched in U-17 and 20 was quite diff from Chelsea Mikel. Mikel can only bask in the glory of Chelsea no individual award except the U-20 silver Finally, someone had to say it. I maintain everytime that the Mikel of the u20 wc 2005 was a beast in midfield. And was different. Once he went to Chelsea, he lost that edge due to competition. And overcompensation must've ruined his game too. |

Flamemignon1: He came to Atlanta to promote his book back in 2018,the book is about a gay Nigerian-American that blends and discusses themes of homophobia, racism, classism etc to the mix(I'm not saying straight guys can't write books on gay people oooo afterall there have been straight novelist like Diana Gabaldon and game of thrones author GRRM that has written gay books) what cemented it was during the promotion, let's just say I know gay guys who hit it off with him and went back to his hotel with him. He wrote the book "beast of no nation" that was adapted into a movie starring Idris Elba, his roommate in Harvard was the first ever gay man to run for president Pete Buttigeig, rumor has it,he purposely asked for them to be roommates,Pete would later go on to be mayor of Indiana and is currently the commissioner for transportation in the US,Pete also has plans to run again in the coming election Bro., you too much. One wonders why you allow Igbos to make denigrating comments in the name of comments, and then in return allow Yorubas to do same. Everyone doing how they like either because you gain from the impressions or because you enjoy the we v them and them v us back n forth. |

Ttalk: Your post is funny and fair. But he who comes to equity must come with a clean hand, your brothers criticizing Tinubu's appointment are same people urging Jonathan to ignore SW leaders because Anyim their son as SGF was giving appointments meant for the entire South to the SE.
They abuse and curse Yoruba elders here on Nairaland. I understand you. While I agree that it is true that some Igbos must've wronged people either here or in the real world, it is important to note that by virtue of equity and fairness, it is not all right to make it about us alone. That wouldn't be fair, and that would make you insinuate you're entirely innocent while we're entirely guilty. That's not how it works. And I'm guessing that this constant pointing fingers here and there by the different tribes is why we're struggling to move forward as a country. That said, your point is noted. |
Politics › Re: All Former Presidents Are Ethnic Leaders Except Obasanjo – Amaechi by Hausa(m): 11:21am On Oct 27, 2023 |
Ttalk: Amaechi you know I like you but this latest selfisness you are displaying because you lost the primary is getting out of hand.
Your stupidity made Wike hijack Rivers from you. APC members in Rivers are now an orphan due to your recklessness.
Your followers are in disarray because you are not a good leader. Go and make amendments before you are relegated like some failed politicians
Edited:
I know many of you criticizing my comment are the same people who drafted a market constitution to exclude your tribesmen from a different state into any elective position in the Alaba market
We saw how Anambra in his circular specifies health work only for the Anambra people.
Same you supported Obi and gave him a 99% vote. Common, Nigerians are wiser than the cunny and childish criticism you display on social media.
Remember your foremost Azikwe introduced tribalism into Nigeria's context when he gave all the Federal appointments in the SW only to his Igbo brothers.
Immediately Jonathan appointed Pius Anyim as SSG, he turned Jonathan's government into an Igbo government by giving most of the appointments to his kingsmen, NCC, Stock Exchange, Naptip, and many more. I pity other Nigerians who don't see your attempt at demonizing the Yoruba who embrace and accommodate you after the war.
You criticize Tinubu for nepotism despite giving a powerful Minister of Work to an Igbo son.
Despite Tinubu's appointment of Igbo into his government in Lagos, we have not seen the same from any of your leaders.
Now in appointments, give me the name of any of your politicians as a governor or President who is as fair as Tinubu in appointment.
This demonization must stop. Enough We have probably wronged many in this country. Some of whom, will not let go and move on. To me, it's not out of place. Those who are good are good. Those who are bad are bad. Those who are on the fence are on the fence. What I don't get is how this post turned from talking about Amaechi to talking about ndi-Igbo. Ah ah?! Kilode na?! Na only we waka come? |

Romance › Re: Narrate Your Worst Kissing Experience by Hausa(m): 4:32pm On Oct 11, 2023 |
NACE13: This one happened last year. I brushed after having breakfast, so my neighbour's little sister came around and we gisted for few minutes before I teased her. We locked lips passionately but something was off; She was trying to do it like those foreign moves where both actors rush each other in a hot moment. She was doing the wrong thing at the right time. I was stylishly using my lips to slow her's down. Then I slightly opened my eyes only to see hers wide open and I was like "Do people kiss passionately with their eyes wide open?" It was not working for me so I went second base on her before we were interrupted by a phone call.
After the call, she asked me what I ate before she came, and I asked her why the question and she said my mouth tasted like grape. I don't know if that's a compliment or polite insult After that incident, I changed to Colgate toothpaste.
In the end, we both didn't enjoy each other's lips as imagined. Interesting. Be like na closeup you been dey use. |
