Because they're both bi-racial.  grin J/K

J. Cole is def. better.
Nice song but not his best.
They aren't even close.

Yup, heard many other better tracks from him.

bouzymill:

nahh. . . It's liek that. JCole and Drake. Came up at the same time, But Drake chose the faster root and J Cole is still preserving his state of mind. They're both Light Skinned. Even the chic in 106 7 park or something like that, called J Cole, the new Drake. .  . and his face was like "What Tha F!ck" .  .  . But you know, The girl knows little of what she was saying anyways. . . That's by the way.
she didn't.

When you said "SICK", I got your point straight. J Coal is a tighter MC sure, but what sets him apart from Drake is that he shows more of the "HipHop state of mind" than Drake. Drake is also good to a point. He's not wack and I'm sure would not do bad if he decides to go hard but the point is he just doesn't have the State of mind. So, when you say sick, I look at it from the angle of "who associates himself and makes Hiphop track more".
Point is, one is a much sicker rapper.
When Drake actually decides to rap and not sing, he still can't pull his weight (eg, Forever, Light Up, Think Good Thoughts feat. Phonte & Elzhi)

I'm not a drake fan, I just think he's not wack.
No, not yet. He's a little closer to 'suck' than 'sick' though. Average at best.

so i'm not the only one who thought weezy outrapped eminem on no love!!!
weezy's flow on no love was on point. perfectly rode the beat. eminem just did his usual stuff. same flow, same message. and by same message i mean no message. if you all just want to hear weak punchlines spat really fast, might as well listen to twista instead.

and about eminem's silly punchlines, come on.

'treat me like stairs, just step'.

eminem is just about his flow these days. the only reason he doesn't 'elementarylise' his punchlines is because he always has to spit over-long bars.

'climb on monopoly board and be on top of his game'?

'raise the bar'?

eminem's punches are weak and uncreative.

seriously, the lines you guys have been posting, i've been wondering what you guys find impressive about them. you guys don't listen to enough rap. this shxt is basic.

'your flow's aquafina/ i'm katrina'

why not go and listen to slaughterhouse instead?

eldee:

@DBR

You know what, I'm done arguing . . . Eminem's punchlines are not good.
It's simple, if you said that about Canibus, Modenine or even J.Cole, I'd have brought out a whole list of crazy punchlines to prove you wrong.
tell them o.
basic at best. it's not by force to use punchlines naw.

I showed you a continuing trend in Em's punchlines, no one could dispute it.
All you guys are doing is 'nah, it can't be true', 'you didn't hear them' . . . gimme sumn that can hold water abeg.
now you know what it's like arguing with you. lol

btw who cares what saucekid says? didn't he say nas was wack?
Music/Radio / Re: J.cole -"premeditated Murder" Dope by hax: 10:15pm On Jul 22, 2010
Why do people bring up Drake in every conversation about J. Cole? Do they even sound alike?

It's like comparing Lil Wayne and Nas.

J. Cole is sick. Drake is not. End of.

free the guy jor. he hardly had any time on the mic. even if he was good, it still doesn't mean anything. he has to prove himself with a proper feature.

it's been a while since i heard the tribute, did he even have up to 5 bars? lol

it would be a little harder when he hasn't even met the person like the rest of them.

@hax
Go take a chill pill
No be you dey vex? lol

you make me laugh in latin when you spew such stuff like him not giving anything better than Talk about it. Next you go on and say why he beefing small cats ? Geez are you for real ?
I'm happy I could make you laugh.

The last time i checked i don't think it was MI that started it and even i don't thin MI is deaf and dumb therefore he has a right to throw a line or two of response at a shows to give his fans some comic relief  wink
who said he started it?

and who won the 50 v ross beef? 50 dropped videos of ross's wife, many cartoons and disses, ross put his head down and produced decent music, 50 dropped bird shxt. in the end, good music wins.

and a man of MI's status, champion of hip hop, bringer of the rains, all he has to do is dismiss them with a single line.

me i don't want to hear 'MI shot dead outside silverbird galleria' o!

you guys should free puppiluv jor.

he was nice on the dagrin tribute song, dropped a few nice bars, maybe if dagrin hadn't died they'd have collabo'd and he'd be more popular. his time will still come sha, the tribute was great exposure for him, he was one of the better performers.
Music/Radio / Re: Who Is Miss Endowed - Gbemi Or Toolz? by hax: 7:07pm On Jul 16, 2010
They're both good looking. But I couldn't pick because they're both a little too 'full-figured' for my tastes. And they almost look alike. lol

making hotter tracks
I don't think so. I haven't heard anything he's spat that's better than what he's done on Talk About It. That's by the way anyways.

And there's no point beefing these small cats. Why didn't Jay-Z reply Game? I'd understand if he was also trying to find his feet in the rap game, but he's the biggest mainstream rapper out there, why the fxck should he feel the need to reply everything IBS and KH say? He should keep doing his thing jor. Fxck the haters.

Music/Radio / Re: Emimen Sells A Million Copies In 2 Weeks. by hax: 9:49pm On Jul 09, 2010
kay29000:

It is such a shame that with all this numbers, which would result to more money for him, he is still the must unhappy, unstable, emotionally disturbed rapper that i know.
Let's hear word jor.

Just because Common or Black Thought chooses not to rap about their problems doesn't mean they have none. They're just more concerned about the greater problems others are having. Eminem's busy hating on his mom, while Kanye lost his mom. Money doesn't buy happiness anyways.

Next on the charts this week is DRAKE's debut effort, "thank me later", which sold 105,000 copies this week, bringing the total to 709,000. The numbers are impressive for the climate of hiphop right now, when a lot of rappers are struggling to sell 300,000 copies(except from jay-z, lil wayne, kanye west, young jeezy, and maybe GAME). But i still expected more from his album than this. He has as much buzz as when 50 cent dropped, and 50 sold over 1.6mill in 2 weeks; THE GAME didn't have as much buzz as drake had, and he still sold a million copies in 3 weeks. So for drake to be on his third week in stores, and still about 300k from platinum, then that isn't impressive enough for him. I just hope he recoups all that has been spent on his promotion so far.
50 cent and Game sold platinum in an era where even Talib Kweli was doing nice numbers. As BIG said, sh-it done changed.

Drake and his other "young money" colleagues have finally gone gold with their WE ARE YOUNG MONEY debut. The album sold 3,800 copies this week, bringing the total to 500 copies sold so far.
pschew

And the latest album(how i got over) from THE ROOTS sold 21,000 copies this week, bringing their total in 2 weeks to 72k

Don't get me wrong, I feel Eminem, but there's still a large nmber of people that will never consider him a rapper.

Any early candidates?

The Roots- How I Got Over.

It saddens me to see someone say Black Eyed Peas on the fisrt page.

Before they went pop, they were REALLY cool. Back in the day, Elephunk and Monkey Business were the sh-!t. Pump It, Don't Lie, Don't phunk with my heart, Where Is The Love, My Humps, and LIKE THAT! Now it's 'I gotta feeling' and 'boom boom pow', well BEP, YOU'RE so 2000 and late!

I don't know why I haven't been able to get past the 2nd track everytime I try to sit to listen to it. I haven't been really bored recently. I should give it a listen soon enough. . . I really like Relapse, so if it's better I should have any problems with it. Unless the beats are bad.
Music/Radio / Re: Janelle Monae's The Archandroid Album Review. by hax: 9:46pm On Jun 20, 2010
The ArchAndroid is sick.

I don't usually go out of my way to listen to RnB, but I did and I was blown away. So many different sounds in that album, she even 'raps'. lol

I don't see how someone would compare her to Britney or Miley Cyrus or LADY GAGA. She's doing something different. Not Gaga-different, but different. And I like it. I can see why EVERYONE won't like it, but just check her metacritic out.
