Anyways in my own understanding you ment what budget method will you for a farm owned by a family of six. Me as a novice ooo using Nigerian economy don't spend much money on machines make the farming labour intesive.
If you already have land spend the capital on seeds and fertilizers, employ enough labour (this is due to the unemployment rate already in the country). It will pay you because maintenance of machines is not easy in this economy . The family should be able to control also with services if you can't afford extra labour that's my take on this.
